Nike Air 1/2 Cent Cranberry + Eggplant Detailed Images

Most sneakerheads know the name ‘SneakGeekz‘ and his latest video preview is a close-up look at two upcoming colorways of the genius late ’90s basketball hybrid, the Nike Air 1/2 Cent.  With the Eggplant and Cranberry Half Cents, you can expect the same beautiful iridescent uppers that made the Foamposite a grail, with both pairs rocking an icey translucent outsole.  Both colorways will be out later this year, and you can see them side by side in natural lighting by clicking the jump below to see the entire video.

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) New Preview Images

Alright, Kobe’s had his time. All eyes will be on LeBron James this summer not only for the looming free agency extravaganza but also for the upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VIII, the eighth installment of the Nike LeBron legacy. Up until now, all we’ve seen of the AMLVIII was a silhouette mock-up, some close-up shots of a new King James crest as well as a Flywire out in the open in addition to being shrouded by carbon fiber, and some blurry screenshots of ‘Bron wearing his upcoming shoe during an ABC special. Here are some preview images of the details of the shoe, pinpointing the tongue, Nike swoosh branding on the medial side, a look at the ankle construction, and key portions of the upper. These images are of an all-white pair of the LeBron VIII, which could signify another LeBron Artist Series like we saw with the VII.

Starting off, the tongue features an embossed logo of the lion with a crown made up of the number 23, although that could change if LeBron does in fact change his jersey number to 6.  The medial side of the shoe reveals a Flywire/carbon fiber panel with a hint of a clear Flywire window much like the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. The apex of the ankle also reaches higher than the AMLVII, with a smaller reversed swoosh on the inner sidewall of the ankle. Laceholes are also constructed of quarter-circle shaped metal ringlets as well. Based on these preview images, the materials look to be of premium quality, a testament to the higher standard set by the Nike LeBron line, which can be considered the premium line of basketball shoes for Nike.

But let’s read in-between the lines: Can we expect the return of a strap – forefoot, in-step, ankle – as seen on four of the six LeBron shoes before the VII? We do know 360-Air is returning – any change in the design of the Air Unit? Recall the LeBron VIII ‘Witness’ crest we showed you during one of the previews – where could it be placed? As we begin the put the pieces of this puzzle together, let us know what you think will be added to or removed from the LeBron VII, and stick with Sneaker News for all info regarding the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII. via NT.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) Shooting Stars Classic PE | New Images

It seems as if there are as many Player/Friends & Family Exclusive colorways as there are general releases. The Shooting Stars Player Exclusive you see here is a colorway paying tribute to the Shooting Stars, LeBron James’ AAU team. The white/red/black is a precise “reverse” colorway of the Air Max LeBron VII Home colorway that LeBron wore during the early stages of the ’09-’10 season. The Air Max LeBron VII Shooting Stars PE probably won’t see a release, so these new images of this great colorway is all you can get (that is, unless you have a great connection of some sort). Continue reading for a gallery of images and let us know if you’d cop if these ever released. via phnrprman of NT.

Nike Air Pippen 1 White Dark Grey Total Orange | Available

Nike Air Pippen 1, anyone? Here’s a new colorway in white and total orange that doesn’t seem to match up to any of his team colorways. Bulls? Nope. Rockets or Blazers? Not here. Central Arkansas? Definitely not. This colorway is just another interesting combination of the Nike Air Pippen 1 that Scottie wore during the ’97 Playoffs, but anyone remember the Zoom version that he wore? Scottie was quoted to have preferred Zoom over Air but the tri-pressure Air Units from the 90′s look sweeter, don’t they? If orange is your thing, grab these from steptorun on eBay.

Nike Player Black New Green White | Available

The Nike Player hightop debuted this year with a series of simple colorways applied to a silhouette best described as Blazer-like.  In fact, were it not for the much smaller Swoosh and a side panel seam, you could easily confuse these for that classic basketball shoe.  As it stands, this is a lifestyle sneaker, the above pictured colorway of which is sure to remind you of a particular player, probably the best one in NBA history.  These black-based Players add New Green and purple accents to achieve an Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ look that’s sure to find its fair share of fans this summer.  If you’re feelin’ the ‘Aqua’ Nike Player, grab a pair today from Premier.

Jordan Rare Air White Black Cement Grey | Available on eBay

The Jordan Brand hybrid agenda has seen its highs and lows. Simply put, it’s been hit or miss thus far. You can go down the entire hybrid history and distinguish the success stories with the perpetual strugglers. The Jordan Rare Air is slowly but surely leaning toward the path of success, because the overall response to the shoe has followed that of another hybrid shoe – the Air Jordan Spiz’ike. The II, III, IV, V, and VI are the composers of this symphony, with no one shoe inspiration overpowering another. It’s a seemingly harmonious collaboration of the five Air Jordan models, but seriously, how can you say no to Elephant print and a grey speckled midsole? The White Cement Jordan Rare Air is set to hit Jordan Brand retailers soon but a full size run at a fair price  is available now from steptorun on eBay.

Air Jordan Accolades Laser New Images

Now that Kobe Bryant has won his fifth NBA title, the sports world’s talking heads are going to have a field day with the Kobe-MJ comparisons.  Maybe if they take a look at all the different symbols etched into these new Air Jordan Accolades, they’ll realize that the combination of timing and utter brilliance have placed Michael Jordan at the top of the game of basketball, probaby forever.  The Jordan Accolades Laser includes reminders of everything from the groundbreaking Air Jordan 1, to the ‘God Disguised as Michael Jordan’ game, all the way through to the ‘Flu Game’ and a few years later when MJ was a Wizard.  The moments of greatness are too numerous to mention, but you can see more closeups of the upcoming Accolades after the jump.  via Dunk

Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar + Blazer CS | July 2010

Check out two upcoming Nike SB models for July 2010; the first is the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar in a purple, green, and white colorway. It’s like an sueded, unglittered version of the Dinosaur Jr. x Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar but the colorway reminds us of another Nike SB – the Donatello SB Dunk Mid. The Blazer CS – part of the Nike SB Custom Series – will also arrive; black with a white swoosh with a sweet all-gum sole. Continue reading for a look at the other pair and expect both to hit Nike SB accounts in July; some spots like UK’s bored will have them as early as this Monday, June 21st.

Stefan Janoskis Personal Nike SB Janoski Collection

Stefan Janoski’s boat-shoe inspired skater was an interesting change of pace for Nike SB; many of their skate-shoes were the classic chunky sneakers with fat laces and tongues, but the Janoski – a perfect casual lifestyle shoe – was deemed fit for skating as well. Check out Stefan Janoski’s personal collection of his own sig shoe, the Nike SB Stefan Janoski,  arranged into a pyramid and a circle (with his adorable feline friend). Perhaps that picture could be the next funny “cat pic” that grew quite popular over the last couple of years. via Stefan Janoski’s Twitter.
