Still looking for a casual running shoe for the summer? During its original release in the 90′s, the Nike Presto was known for its eccentric design and swift change of direction from the previous Nike Running route. But today, the Presto design is somewhat tame, as we’ve been exposed to a number of slip-on-shoe designs. This time around, its the tech implemented into the shoe – Torch and Lunar – that deserves the attention. Lunar – one of Nike’s lightest cushioning systems – and Torch – one of Nike’s lightest upper materials – makes for a feather-weight shoe with heavy-weight capabilities. It’s been about a month since we showed you Nike SB Team Germany’s trip to Kuala Lampur and the rest of Malaysia, and they weren’t the only Euro SB riders on vacay in SE Asia.  Nike SB Italy recently took a tour of Bangkok, Thailand, and if you’ve never been there, this is footage you’d have to see to believe.  Bangkok is a buzzing metropolis with all the skate-friendly stairs and platforms you’d ever want, and it’s all right beside some of the richest architecture and landscaping anywhere on Earth.  Click the jump below to see real Nike SB riders tearing it up in a picturesque environ that might make you think it’s a video game.

A few days ago Sneaker News gave you a heads up on a couple of the Nike Blazer Low colorways that featured a diamond-shaped quilting on the upper. Fortunately for the ladies, two more colorways have been brought to light; check out the Nike Blazer Low Quilted Pack for women in two pastel colorways. The light pink colorway features a silver swoosh while the pistachio green features gold – swoosh color-ups similar to the Supreme x Nike SB Bruin Pack from last year. The primary difference between the mens and womens renditions lies in the Nike font on the heeltab; women’s features the classic script while the men’s features an Asian-inspired typecast. Derek Jeter is the lone baseball player with his own Jordan Brand signature shoe, an exclusivity that Jeter has earned. His career achievements in the sport of baseball could be called Jordan-esque, although baseball is a game in which no one man can dominate entirely. Jeter has had his fair share of career defining moments, moments which Jordan Brand recognized and honored by creating a Jordan Jeter Throwback Defining Moments PE. This new colorway of the Throwback primarily features grey, a popular color despite not having any real ties to the Bulls, Tar Heels, or Bucs, but grey does happen to be the color of the Yankees’ Away unis. These are now available at Finishline.

For X-Girl, “X” doesn’t mark one spot. So far, in 2010, we’ve seen collaborations with Nike, New Balance, and Converse, and now her sublime touch has hit Reebok in the form of a space-age colorway of the Insta Pump Fury. The starry graphic seen on this latest X-Girl collab isn’t a new one; her last project with Nike featured a glittery duo of the Nike WMNS Blazer Mid that featured the same graphic on the inner lining. However the Insta Pump Fury is done up in a combination of black, turquoise, purple, and yellow to match the space-age theme of the shoe. These are set to release on June 19th in Japan with a stateside release unlikely, but we’ll keep you updated. via HS.

It takes a basketball historian to understand the origins of the upcoming Air Jordan Carmichael.  People have speculated that the name refers to the Jordan Motorsports team or possibly even unaffiliated biker Ricky Carmichael, but the Carmichael story actually begins where MJ’s legendary career got its first legs.  The Carmichael Arena at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was the host to each of Mike’s college games as a Tar Heel.  It’s since been replaced by the twice-as-big ‘Dean Dome’, but the path to UNC’s 1984 NCAA title started there.  This new pair of Carmichaels goes with a black on black colorway that might not have existed had Jordan not endured the fines of his rookie year, so while the design is completely new, the color reminds you of how much basketball changed because of a single man.  Check out more shots after the jump and you can cop a sample pair from cigar0330 on eBay.

Over the last week, Sneaker News provided you an in-depth look at the Nike/Jordan Brand/Converse Fall 2010 Basketball Showcase; from the footwear showcase to the Wear-Test at Rucker Park, the galleries of images allowed for a first-hand experience from the comfort of your computer desk. One of the highlights of the entire event was the introduction of the Nike Hyperfuse, a mega-lightweight basketball shoe featuring an all-new one-piece material. We know that the Nike SB Dunk Mid will shed its trademark ankle strap soon, but until this point we’ve only seen multiple photos of a single pair.  That changes to two with a new look at this pair in Sport Red, black and white.  The SB Dunk Mid Pro looks quite a bit more like the High now, but you can still easily tell which is which, cos the mids feature an extra flap on the lowest eyelets.  Click the jump below for more shots of this pair and stick with Sneaker News for updates; we expect these in stores very soon.
