All of Nike’s recent retros of 90′s basketball shoes have caused an influx of nostalgia and “I had those!” remarks from our readers, and the re-release of the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 should also stir up memories of over a decade ago. The Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 was Scottie Pippen’s go-to shoe of the ’96-’97 campaign, although this Original colorway wasn’t worn by him. The White/Black-College Blue colorway of the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 has finally hit retail, and they’re available now at Eastbay, as well as on eBay.

While the Nike Air Force 1 High will release in a Foamposite-infused model soon and the Air Foamposite One will see a metallic pewter drop sometime early next year, these new ladies kicks are somewhere in between. The Nike Womens Air Feather High Premium is pictured above in two new colorways for Fall 2010 that feature the satiny metallic finish you might expect from a Pewter Foamposite, albeit on a smooth leather. Blue and black pairs are equally appetizing, so check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on the stateside release. via mita sneakers

Billionaire Boys Club jumps on the color-plus-gum bandwagon as part of their Season 11 lineup. On deck for the Fall/Winter 2010 collection are at least five different canvas lowtops, each with a monochromatic upper topping the aforementioned caramel brown bottoms. Shades of yellow, black, grey, light blue and red are all tinted to compliment today’s fashions, and as you can see above, they look dope with properly fitting denim. Vans has released a few sneakers with wingtip styling, but never on this particular model. The Vans Sk8-Hi ‘V38Medallion’ carries something of a strange nickname, but we’ll assume the reference is to the golden print on both pairs’ tongue tags. Both of these feature a wingtip toe and upgraded vulc soles, but the application of their leather uppes is quite different. One pair goes the all black everything route, while the others are an exercise in tonal browns. These are out now at Japanese retailer ABC-Mart, so stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release.

Heir to the Zoom Flight legacy that started with Jason Kidd’s ‘Bug Eyes’ Zoom Flight Five (95), the Nike Air Zoom Brave series is back for its fourth installment. The Nike Air Zoom Brave IV will feature Flywire reinforcement for the first time in the series, which means these look to be even lighter than ever before. Three new pairs each feature the same concentric circular traction pattern as the Zoom Uptempo V, plus the lateral jewel that marked many of Kidd’s signature Nikes. Michael Jordan’s dabbling in the game of baseball is one era of his career that can be forgotten. However the same can’t be said for the Air Jordan PE Cleats that we’ve seen over the years. Earlier this season, Yankees Ace C.C. Sabathia wore cleat versions of both the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey as well as a nice colorway of the Air Jordan IV. Here’s a look at another Air Jordan IV PE Cleat worn by Andruw Jones during his time with the Atlanta Braves. Jones peaked incredibly fast and was considered to be the second coming of Ken Griffey Jr., but his post-Braves career was one to be forgotten . In the end Jones did rack up a great career and is best known for his defense (10 consecutive Gold Gloves), and he’s now enjoying a small resurgence with the Chicago White Sox. Check out Jones’ cleats after the jump and add them to your collection by bidding on the auction from solesupreme on eBay.

The Air Jordan VI Infrared Pack dropped over a week ago and some sneakerheads are still trying to find their pairs at reasonable prices, which is tough to do considering the reselling market and limited availability. However, you might be able to get your Infrared Pack for well under retail. How? Bidfire is a new auction site that isn’t at all like eBay, the king of online auctions. How Bidfire works; instead of a free-bidding system, Bidfire sells bids at $1 a piece – that’s right, you have to pay a dollar just to place a bid. However, the final bidding price is usually a LOT lower than retail. As each bid is made, the price of the item increases incrementally, and the person with the last bid placed when the auction closes is the winner. All items are authentic and most people end up winning items for 85 – 99% less than retail. Macbooks at under $20, Nintendo Wii consoles for pocket change, you get the point. The auction for the Infrared Pack is set to begin tonight, so check out the Bidfire auction if you want to test your luck. If the auction ends and you’re still in the hunt for a package, you can still grab your Infrared Pack now on eBay.

Every sneakerhead has that one pair of Air Jordan XIs victimized by the relentless disease known as yellowing; it’s an inevitable fate regardless of whether you wear them every day or keep them on ice. Even the most formidable of defenses (zip-lock bags, silica gel packs) can’t withstand the disease, but a curious product known as Sea Glow has come to the rescue, resurrecting dying pairs into rockable heat. Sea Glow was originally a cleaning product used for RVs, boats, and other large crafts; it does the job by preventing the drying out of these materials – a state that occurs when the material is exposed to sun for prolonged periods of time. Sea Glow became a home remedy for sneakers – particularly the Air Jordan XI – and the product has earned a reputation as being one of the best sneaker restoration tools out there. For those who might be skeptical or a bit hesitant at making an attempt check out the before-and-after shots after the jump. The rest of the tutorial is at UGSoles.
