Sneakerheads will be giving thanks this November, as one of the hottest All Star-type Air Jordan colorways sees a retro release. The Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’ is known for its Flint Grey suede sections, but the shoe certainly wouldn’t be complete without its blue triangular ballistic nylon side panels, which get their dimples from MJ’s love of golf. Take a look at another sweet preview video from the fine folks at MarqueeSole, which features a crazy effect where each cut is transitioned by an explosion of Jumpman insignias collapsing to form the outline of the shoe. The full video awaits your click on the jump below and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Air Jordan release dates.

Yesterday, we got a look at Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PEs for Lamar Odom and Chris Bosh (even though Bosh isn’t playing for USA Basketball this summer). Now it’s time to see what the biggest star on the USAB squad’ll be wearing for this year’s FIBA World Championships. Pictured above is Kevin Durant’s Nike Zoom Hyperfuse PE. We’ve seen a special ‘Creamsicle’ makeup for the Hyperfuse with Durant’s ‘kd’ logo on the ankles, but this pair instead echoes the aforementioned HD2K10s with his name in a simple all-caps typeface on the tongue. Click the jump below for more shots and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible retail release. Thanks “foam on the feet”

The latest Nike Hyperdunk 2010 to hit retail comes to us in that most familiar of all basketball colorways. Since 1985′s introduction of the Air Jordan, black and red have been the Bred and butter of basketball sneakers and this HD 2K10 certainly lives up to the Swoosh’s performance tradition. These aren’t your average black and red kicks, though, with a cracked marble finish on the Flywire-embedded TPU upper reminding us that sneaker technology has come a long way in the last quarter-century. Click the jump below for more images and check for these at Nike Basketball retailers like FinishLine.

Cotton jersey material has shown up more frequently, and even if it doesn’t actually make a sneaker more comfortable, the ‘sweatpants’ look is a soothing aesthetic. Check out the heathered textile uppers on these new Nike WMNS Sweet Classic Highs, both of which feature tonal laces and black leather Swooshes on the side panels. Another unique characteristic of this ‘pack’ is the inclusion of an almost wrist band-like ribbed material on the heel tabs, setting these apart from every other Sweet Classic release thus far. Click the jump below for more shots and grab a pair from select Nike Sportswear retailers like Boston’s Concepts.

New month, new set of releases from Converse Japan. The One Star’s Japanese division consistently cranks out the highest quality takes on their immortal silhouettes and August 2010 is no exception with a huge range of styles and colors to choose from. There’s a nice run of Chuck Taylor All Stars in both high and lowtops, some of which swap white for black on the sole and toecap, while others add cushy ankle padding, plus a few crazy boot-inspired pairs like the one pictured above. Jack Purcells range from solids to tartan plaids, while the One Star lowtop is available in white leather, both ‘regular’ and velcro-strapped models. If you haven’t had your fill of the Air Attack Pack, you’re in luck; check out this sample of the Nike Air Max Classic in metallic silver and royal blue, set to be a part of the next wave of the Nike Air Attack. This pair features a silver upper with a 3M swoosh and a royal blue midsole. The overall motif of the shoe is reminiscent of the Nike Air Max CMYK Pack from a few years ago but with based on the Air Attack trends, we should expect different colorway motifs of the Air Max Classic (perhaps ponyhair, black faux-denim, or perforated nubuck). Check out the extra shot after the jump and let us know what you think of an Air Max Classic Air Attack Pack. via regularolty.

Controversial decision maker, LeBron James, was recently spotted at his King’s Academy Camp in San Diego sporting a new colorway of his upcoming 8th signature model. It appears that LeBron was taking this “blackout” edition of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII out for a test-drive, and giving the sneakerheads out there a nice treat in the process. Also spotted on court was a mysterious pair of lower-cut Nike Air Max b-ball kicks that may or may not turn out to be a potential Air Max LeBron VIII Low. Check out some more pics of both after the jump, and stay tuned for more info on all upcoming LeBron signature models. Via NT

July’s coming to a close so while some of you may be wallowing in self-pity at the inevitable return of the school year, cheer yourself up with this week’s Sneaker News Weekly Rewind. This week brought closer looks at the Cool Grey XI and Flint XIII, which should ease the pain brought on by piles of schoolwork. New ‘Jays’ didn’t disappoint either, as we got a look at a new colorway of the Air Jordan II as well as a Lasered Fusion IV. New images of an upcoming Electric Green Foamposite as well as the return of the OG Diamond Turf colorway brightened our moods, as did the release of some August 2010 Nike SB releases.
On the basketball side of things, the color red was a recurring theme, as both the Skills Academy PE of the Soldier IV as well as a Quickstrike pair of the Uptempo 97 were colored up in the eye-catching tone. Things were toned down with Steve Nash’s new signature shoe, which features – big surprise – a low-cut construction. Sneaker News directed a shining light at our readers with the launch of the Best of WDYWT, which showcases the twenty best WDYWT submissions of the week. And finally, the Nike Air Force 1 made a campaigned convincingly with the introduction of the 5 Boroughs Pack, a long-awaited concept that has finally come to life. There’s a lot more to see so if you need a drug-free mood enhancer, check out the final Sneaker News Weekly Rewind of July.

It’s been quite a year for the Air Jordan IX. From the OG colorway retros to the Bin 23, Citrus and Quai 54 editions, we’ve seen more AJIXs than home runs Mike hit in the minor leagues when the Nines first released. The “What if MJ never retired” hypothetical is one for the ages, and you can’t help but wonder if he would have made it four in a row while wearing these white, black and True Red AJ9s at old Chicago Stadium. But all that’s merely conjecture, with the concrete facts being that you can grab your own piece of the history that never was from Shaolin8 on eBay.
