Nike hosted a special event showcasing the Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid in Southern California during the MLB All-Star Break, hosted by former L.A. Dodger Rick Sutcliffe. The event featured greats from past and present with Bo Jackson, Albert Pujols, and Joe Mauer (the latter two being the reigning league MVPS) giving their own childhood baseball stories to the 40 high-school players who were listening with open ears. Sharing the spotlight with the superstar athletes was the Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid; the special colorways made for Jackson, Pujols, Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Schmidt, and Nolan Ryan are part of a special pack featuring uniform-specific colorways and personalized logos of each player.
Both Pujols and Bo Jackson wore their respective Trainer 1.2 Mid colorways from this ‘Legends Pack’ throughout the event. The key word of the event was “BOOM”, an obvious hint to the home-run hitting prowess of the three guests of honor; a special t-shirt with a baseball bat graphic and BOOM letters were fashioned for the event as well. Check out the gallery of images as well as the videos from the event and let us know what you think of the Trainer 1.2 Mid colorways. via vinscullyismyhomeboy.
