Nike Air Max and Nike ACG have crossed paths before, but have we ever seen something like this? Check out the Nike Air Max 1 ACG, a Nike Air Max 1 with the ACG logo stamped on the heel and insole and an ACG x Air Max label on the tongue. The upper colorway of this pair is velvet brown and black, an fairly strong outdoors colorway, with a set brightly colored laces. The traction on the bottom sole remain unchanged from the original Air Max 1, so what makes this shoe stable for all conditions? Does this collaboration of Air Max and ACG entail more than a mere set of branding? Perhaps waterproof material or guarding on the upper? Continue reading for a detailed look because there’s a size 9 sample available for purchase from cigar0330 on eBay.

Might wanna get your monitor (re-)calibrated. The entire upper is dark brown, with the Swooshes and outsole done in black.
For reference, it's the same shade as the darker parts of this AJ1 (the leather overlay sections), even though it does show a bit darker in the AM1 photos both because of lighting and a different material: http://sneakernews.com/2010/07/19/air-jordan-1-re…

Erm…. apart from the ACG logo there is nothing else ACG about them, no vibrant colour, no nice speckled sole, could have pulled a nice colourway from some of the 1991 / 92 Escapes or Mowabbs… shame

Usually I'm not a fan of dark coloured air max, but these look great, the laces just add a little flavour to the mix…
