LeBron James’ decision to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami has caused an unexpected ripple effect throughout the NBA, going as far as inducing reactions out of former NBA greats Michael Jordan and Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson. Both Jordan and Johnson, regarded as two of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, were recently asked for their opinions on “The Decision”, and not surprisingly, both were unable to see eye to eye with LeBron’s decision. Michael Jordan stated “There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team’”, with Johnson voicing similar sentiments. “We didn’t think about it cause that’s not what we were about”, said Johnson. It’s been two weeks since ‘The Decision’ but the aftershock can still be heard around the world. LeBron James’ decided to join Cleveland to win championships, squashing the spirit of competition and the DIY satisfaction under his palm, but who’s to say Miami is guaranteed a championship? Let us know if you agree with Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson’s statements regarding LeBron James’ decision. via CBSSports & Bloomberg.
