Nike Air Max Wavy Black Metallic Bronze

The everyman’s Foamposite, the Nike Air Max Wavy is set to drop in one of the most recently released Foam-inspired colorways.  Based on this year’s Copper Air Foamposite One, the Air Max Wavy is pictured above in a very similar shimmering shade that’s labeled as Metallic Bronze this time.  Call it whatever you like, but less than a hundred bucks for a chance at that ‘Dirty Copper’ look?  That’s quite a steal.  Check out some new images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates cos these just started popping up at Japanese retailers like LTD Online.

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low White Black Del Sol

If Kobe Bryant suddenly decided he would wear something other than his Nike signature line, this shoe would make a good match for the Lakers’ white alternate uniforms.  And in fact, we’ve seen the Zoom Kobe series rocking the same white, black and Del Sol yellow colorway that appears on this new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low.  The Hyperfuse has no Flywire like the recent Kobes, but with its ultra-breathable and lightweight one piece construction, these are among the most advanced basketball shoes you could ever hope to find.  Advanced is a good word, too, cos these’ll be out sometime later this year, with a sample in US mens size 9 available for a short time from cigar0330 on eBay.

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse + Hyperdunk 2010 Puerto Rico PEs

When the ’51st State’ takes to the court in this year’s inaugural World Basketball Festival, they’ll be rocking some heat courtesy of the Swoosh.  Here’s a look at the Nike Hyperfuse and Hyperdunk 2010 Puerto Rico PEs that each feature their own take on the bright blue, red and white national colors.  You’ll see in photos of both pairs after the jump, that the Hyperdunk 2K10′s Flywire-infused TPU upper makes for a glossy finish, whereas the Hyperfuse opts for a subtler shade and places the Puerto Rican flag on its white ankle area.  Let us know what you think about these and stick with Sneaker News for more WBF Player Exclusives from Nike Basketball.

NBA Feet: Team USA Basketball Practice + Exhibition Game

Team USA Basketball continued its practice regiment as it looks to gear up for the 2010 FIBA World Championship. While FIBA isn’t on the level of the Olympics in terms of International popularity, Team USA does have something to prove. The red, white, and blue have left FIBA black and blue the last two outings, mustering up a disappointing Bronze in 2006 and an unacceptable 6th place in 2002. While the this year’s squad may lack the star power normally expected in Team USA rosters, the 2010 squad is certainly filled with great young talent and players brought up in the “team” concept.

On Saturday, Team USA was split into two squads and squared off in a exhibition game to give the fans a show and to fine-tune their games. Led by Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant, the white squad defeated the blue squad by a margin of 18 points. During the game were some of the usual kicks that Sneaker News already previewed; the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, Nike Hyperfuse, Nike Zoom Soldier III (Tyson Chandler’s go-to pair during the season), and Derrick Rose with his adidas D-Rose 1.5 came out to play, so check out the images from the Team USA Practice and Exhibition game after the jump and let us know what you think of USA’s chances of capturing gold this August. via NT/USAB.

Longtime Nike SB collaborator Michael Lau showed off an unreleased sample at his recent MiXTRA SHOE.SHOP (SAMPLE) show, a BMX-inspired Blazer High.  The ‘BMX Pack’ from 2008 released with the Trickstar Blazer High and Dunk Low, plus Lau’s ‘China’ Blazers in bright yellow with red accents.  The white pair pictured above features the same sunray stitching around the heels, but an all-white construction makes for a much subtler outcome.  Check out more shots after the jump and let us know whether you think these or the released edition is better.  via HB
