Earlier this month Sneaker News showed you a special pair of the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke designed for Reggie Holloway. Reggie was a respected member of the sneaker community and was noted for his impressive collection of Nike Air Force 1s. After his tragic passing in March of this year, ReggieAF1.com was created and Holloway’s Bespoke came to life, with all the funds provided by donations from the sneaker community. The financial goal for the Bespoke was met in just 24 hours; Reggie’s friends and fellow sneakerheads put their own interests aside to ensure Reggie was honored in the appropriate way.
Reggie’s Bespoke was inspired by the Houston Rockets uniforms of the later 90′s-early-00′s and was constructed in a marvelous mix of suede, leather, and 3M reflective material, and included was a special dog-tag with Reggie’s full initials. The shoes came packaged in a commemorative wooden box with special lasering of Reggie’s Houston logo as well as a full listing of all the generous donors. Nike Sportswear matched the contributions of Reggie’s friends and family by creating an extra pair of the Bespoke, and both were presented to the Holloway family – one pair for Reggie and another for his father, who shares his son’s passions for sneakers. Continue reading for a detailed look at this great package because this is surely a treat for Air Force 1 fans and the sneaker community.

Anyone remember the Air Jordan Sky High? Sneaker News gave you an exclusive look at the upcoming retro of the classic lifestyle shoe that featured the Jumpman on the upper, an experiment of sorts to test the brand’s logo on a different area of the shoe. Up until the Air Jordan VII, the Jumpman logo was strictly placed on the tongue. Looking at the silhouette of the Sky High, you’re probably reminded of the Air Jordan Phly Legend that released not long ago – but in fact the Phly was inspired by the Sky. Two colorways of this true Jordan retro are headed for the September 2010 release; Black, Varsity Red, Cement Grey, and White as well as a white-based counterpart will drop at Jordan Brand retailers in the near future, so check out the extra images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updated release info.

The recently released Air Jordan One6 One7 is an obvious mix of the Air Jordan XVI and XVII, but how about these Jordan XI colorways? Maybe it’s the patent leather mudguard and the clear outsole that puts XI on the mind. We’ve already reported the release of a Black/White “Concord XI” colorway, so check out this White/Metallic Silver pair that could be compared to the 25th Anniversary or even the “Columbia”; the upper is entirely white with a metallic silver jumpman branding on the tongue and heel with a grey lining. These just dropped at Finishline so head there to add to these to your stash.

The art of story-telling is an age-old tradition with origins tracing back to the earliest civilizations. Drawings, objects, and pantomime have been useful tools, and now you can add the Nike SB Dunk to the raconteur’s arsenal. A sneakerhead-storyteller assembled a short story using classic SB Dunks to help fill in the blanks along the way. Here’s a quick summary; the protagonist, Danny Supa, is on a soul-searching journey, and meets some interesting people (and obstacles) along the way. If you need something to lighten up your day, check out ‘A Nike SB Story’ and see if you can read the entire story without looking up the shoes. Thanks to Shoepreme for sharing.

Sneaker News first broke the early release of the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared retro; originally thought to release on Saturday, July 24th, Finishline and other retail spots (depending on location) jumped the gun and dropped these earlier. Nike Sportswear doesn’t have concrete release dates like Jordan Brand does and the early release showed just that. You can add Foot Locker and Footaction to the list of available spots, because the Infrared Air Max 90 has now dropped in all locations of major footwear retailers. If you’ve yet to pick up a pair, stop by Footaction, Foot Locker, or your other large retailer now to cop your pair. If you missed out on this early release, you can always get your pair on eBay.

2K Sports has been making some of the best-playing NBA simulations since the company was created as the Visual Concepts sub-label of Sega. Whether NBA 2K11 turns out to be the greatest of all time remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: the GOAT will be in the game. Michael Jordan makes his first video game appearance since the NBA Street series in the latest NBA 2K game, and just like the promo images of the cover, he’s rocking the ‘Playoff’ Air Jordan XIIs. They look to be pixel-perfect, save the white Jumpman on the tongue, which is actually red on the Playoff Twelves. Click the jump below to see in-game video of one of MJ’s iconic dunks and a detailed look at the AJXII’s on his virtual feet.

The latest Nike Dunk High Premium takes us back a couple of years, back around the time of the inception of Nike Sportswear. Prior to late 2008, Beaverton’s NSW division was known as the Sport Culture department, but the welcomed name change accompanied the opening of the 21 Mercer St. NYC flagship store, and the rest is history. Early among the NSW releases was a Dunk High in tonal purple with Safari print, which resembled the ones pictured above with their bright purple laces. The laces on this new pair are blue instead and the official color is Deep Burgundy, a color of suede that’s wrapped with the same cloth strip that marked the nylon Vandal Dunks that hit around the same time as the aforementioned Safari pair. An updated blast from the recent past, this new Dunk High Premium is available now from JBseller on eBay.

A new pair of Supra Skytops just hit retailers that offers a new twist on the long honored tradition of speckling on sneakers. Not only are the white dots on this original Chad Muska Pro Model not on the midsole where 99.9% of speckles reside, but they’re also applied to a material that already has its own crackled appearance. The name ‘Spackle’ suits this material quite well, and the white-on-navy Skytops pictured above are a great way to kick off another innovative new look from Supra. Click the jump below for more photos and grab your pair today from Premier.

The Nike Air Classic BW, also known as the Air Max IV, originally released in 1991 right after the Air Max 90. During that year, the BW shared the spotlight with the Nike Air 180, which has seen more recognition from Nike historians. It was the Air 180 and the all-new 180-degree Air Unit that was included in 2005′s History of Air while the BW sat in the shadow. Perhaps its a lack of notable colorways that won’t let the BW truly break through, but this new colorway should grab some attention, at least for a short while. Feature a white synthetic microperforated leather upper with a silver-to-black gradient mudguard, this clean colorway fits into the simple yet effective Big Window styling. Continue reading for another look at this release and cop them now at JDSports.

G.O.O.D. Music has been making headlines as of late with the recent addition of Pusha T, as well as the highly anticipated G.O.O.D. Music Day, which is tentatively set for September 14th, 2010, where Kanye West, KiD CuDi, Big Sean, and Consequence will all be releasing their new albums. One person who plays a major behind the scenes role at G.O.O.D. Music is Don C., who also spends time as Kanye’s manager and as a part of the reputable management group, Hip-Hop Since 1978. Don C. is no stranger to the sneaker game, having been seen with a variety of Air Jordan’s on amongst other sneakers. Kanye even named one of his collaboration sneakers with Louis Vuitton after him (the Dons).
