The next time you spot what you think is a pair of Vans Mountain Edition Lows, you better check again. Not only will the wearer feel flattered by your double-take, but you’ll get another chance to see if they might actually be Dustin Dollin’s new Off the Wall signature. The Vans DD Spawn features a fat forefoot strap that’s bound to draw some Mtn Edition comparisons, but the mix of suede and patent leather is unlike anything else we’ve seen from Vans skate shoes. Check out red/black and black/blue pairs after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on a stateside release. via ST

Earlier this year we were introduced to the Nike Lunar Mariah, an old concept mixed with new ideas that resulted in a comfortable walking/jogging/running shoe. Anything sitting on top of Lunar seems to be ridiculously comfortable, and this upcoming Nike Lunar Racer Vengeance – a Nike Air Vengeance re-calibrated with a Lunarlon midsole – should also be a popular choice for those looking for a pair of casual walking shoes. The Nike Air Vengeance falls in line with the Nike Waffle Racer, Windward, and Vortex of the pre-Air Max days (does anyone remember the little red booklet that came with the Vengeance?). Now, with a 21st century twist, the classic silhouette comes back in 2010 with (you guessed it) a vengeance. Check out the gallery of images and pick up this size 9 sample pair from cigar0330 on eBay.

The Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid stands out as one of the summer’s best all-around sneakers. Based on the Rejuven8′s ‘bird nest’ design, these updates employ a similarly-shaped Torch mesh upper and trim off even more weight with the feather light Lunarlon sole. Coming up soon are two new looks that, if combined, represent the perfect All-American summer look. You can get halfway there with either Challenge Red or Obsidian pairs, but we bet you’ll try your best to get both when they hit stateside retailers. Stick with Sneaker News for updates on a US drop; Japan’s mita sneakers is currently selling pre-orders.

It doesn’t get more ‘golden age Air Jordan’ than this. The Jordan Rare Air combines elements from AJII-VI, and this one comes in the all time classic colorway of black, red and Cement Grey that famously debuted on the Air Jordan III. And the Three’s Elephant print is here, albeit done in tonal black on the toe and heel areas, both sections of which connect with the AJIV’s signature speckled midsole sections. All in all, a great way to celebrate the early days of the Air Jordan franchise lineup, these Rare Airs are available at Jordan Brand retailers including Corporate, or get yours now on eBay.

We’ve seen a good size run of Nike Dynasty 81 Highs in two and three-toned palettes, and here’s another one to add to the list. The new Dynasty 81s pictured above feature a black upper whose tonal effect is gained by contrasting suede and nylon sections. The orange sockliner is sure to draw some comparisons to the various Halloween-themed kicks we’ve seen in recent years, but it’s barely visible when the shoe’s actually on, and adds a nice pop to this white-midsoled hightop. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from select Nike Sportswear retailers including Premier.

The most popular and recognizable Air Max 97 out there is the ‘Silver Bullet‘ OG colorway. But for the track-field inspired Air Max 97, why not go for gold? Check out the new images of the Ninety-Seven in the Metallic Gold, Varsity Red, and Black colorway – another original color-combination from the shoes original year. While these haven’t seen retro releases nearly as much as it’s silver-colored brother, the metallic gold is still considered a Air Max gem and should be a popular release once they do indeed drop. The last time these were available was half a decade ago, so don’t miss out on these bad boys again. There are some extra detailed images after the jump so check ‘em out; these are dropping this Saturday, the 24th in Japan so stick with Sneaker News for state-side release info regarding these AM runners. via mita sneakers.

The Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong – long regarded as one of the greatest non-Legacy Air Jordan releases in the brand’s history – came back to us in mid-June, with many older Jordan-heads welcoming it with open arms. The Vin Baker colorway of Black, Pine Green, and White was a welcome touch but check out this new colorway that recently hit stores; featuring an all-black colorway, the mix of patent leather on the mudguard and satiny material on the upper leaves nothing else to be desired. This ‘Black Cat’ Jumpman Pro Strong just hit Finishline for kids, but you can grab the pair for the adults on eBay.

Earlier this month we gave you a sneak peek at the Nike Zoom Soldier IV in the Team USA Basketball colorway; it features the classic red-white-and-blue colorway with a pixelated graphic on the toe, mudguard, and all the way back to the heel with a dark obsidian Flywire-infused in-step strap. Unfortunately, you won’t see LeBron James sporting these during the 2010 FIBA World Championships because he’ll be wearing some top-siders or house-slippers instead. LeBron has ruled himself out of the playing for Team USA, as did his two new teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Apparently the spirit of competition holds no value, but at least we get a great colorway on a nice basketball shoe. Check out the extra details after the jump and let us know what you think about LeBron not participating this summer. via LTD-Online.

Will Derek Jeter be a Yankee next year? His contract is set to end this offseason, but it’s hard to imagine the NYY captain crossing the 3,000 hit mark early next season while wearing anything other than pinstripes. No matter how the contract negotiations play out or how the postseason resolves itself, this’ll be a memorable year for Jeter, who’s seen his Jordan Brand signature released in a bunch of colorways and more prominently than in all previous years combined. Here’s a new Air Jordan Jeter Throwback that might remind you of another pair that released not too long back, but look closely and you’ll notice something totally new about these: an icy translucent outsole. You gotta wonder how the clear bottoms would age if you were actually out on the sandlot, but these are available at House of Hoops so grab a pair and find out for yourself!

Yesterday Sneaker News showed you two samples of the Nike Air Max 1 ACG Pack – one in Brown/Black and another in Dark Royal/Varsity Royal. Both pairs of the Air Max 1 ACG featured the unmistakable ACG Triangle logo on the heel and a new tongue label, and it looks like the two pairs will be joined by another two. Check out all of the colorways of the Nike Air Max 1 ACG Pack; in addition to the Brown and Blue from yesterday, another Black/Green/Red/White and Purple/Red/Navy/Pink will also be released as part of this pack. Release Dates haven’t been confirmed but stick with Sneaker News for more info, and be sure to take a look at all four colorways after the jump. via CJY.
