Dr. Seuss x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Collection

Converse has teamed up with a huge variety of collaborators and here’s one of the most whimsical to ever hit the shoe game.  Theodore Seuss Geisel will forever be remembered by countless children as the author of the first book they ever read, and better known as the immortal Dr. Seuss.  His list of hits is too long to fully enumerate here, but bestsellers like Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hears a Who and How the Grinch Stole Christmas stand out as all-time classics of children’s literature.  You’ll find some of the characters from the aforementioned books and several others in the full range of pictures of the Dr. Seuss x Converse Chuck Taylor, awaiting your click on the jump below.  via ST

Air Jordan XX3 (23) Low Mike Bibby Atlanta Hawks Away PE

We can only imagine what Mike Bibby’s shoe closet looks like. Truly a Jordan-head’s dream come true, with wall made up of sneaker shelves, each filled with personalized Air Jordans. This latest game-worn Player Exclusive worn by the ATL Hawks point guard falls right in line with what he likes to wear – black-and-red and low-cut – with his “10″ jersey number stamped on the tongue. The colorway of this PE is very similar to the Air Jordan XX3 Premier that was limited to a mere 529 pairs. Besides the obvious mid-to-low discrepancies, the low version featured a black midsole while the Premier XX3 had a jewel translucent red midsole. Needless to say, both the Premier 23 and this Mike Bibby PE would be gems in your own sneaker closet. Check out the detailed shots after the jump and bid on this size 12.5 sample from SoleSupreme on eBay.

Nike Air Max Penny 1 Retro Orlando 2010 Sample

Some have wondered: “Is this too much ‘Penny’ at one time?”. We’ve seen the Penny II, III, Foamposite One, and now the Air Max Penny 1 return to us within a span of 18 months. Nike sure hasn’t been shy about retro releases at all, as Sneaker News reported the retro release of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 in the original Orlando Magic colorway back in April. Undoubtedly the best colorway of the entire Penny line is the Orlando Magic black, varsity royal, and white, and we can expect the Orlando Penny 1 to grace us once more in Spring  2011. If you need another refresher of how the Spring 2011 production release will look, check out these detailed shots and pick up this size 9 sample from cigar0330 on eBay.

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Black Solar Red White

Here’s another new Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low featuring that unique woven pattern we just showed you on a pair in Victory Green and white.  Despite using two accent shades to the aforementioned pair’s one, these ladies AF1 Lows are possibly even simpler, thanks to the wovne sections that are crafted in black-on-black.  That means they’re just adding texture and leave the Solar Red Swooshes and outsoles to shine like, well, the Sun.  Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair of these today from Nike Sportswear retailers like Kicks-Crew.

Reebok CL Venecourt New Mens + Womens Colorways

Reebok CL originally denoted the classic runners you’ve seen in every material and colorway imaginable, but now it’s more of a series.  Case in point: the new Reebok CL Venecourt, a subtly styled low-profile ‘tennis’ shoe that somewhat resembles the Nike Match Classic.  There are six new colorways of these canvas lowtops, each of which features a white sole and white leather on the heel tab.  Choose from black or white in both mens and womens sizes, or guys can grab royal and navy blue pairs while the ladies go for pink or lavender.  All six colorways are now available at Germany’s Overkill.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 White Varsity Red | Sample

The Nike Hyperdunk 2010 just recently hit retail but here’s a colorway that should arrive sometime in the future. The colorway is a simple white and varsity red, meaning any number of NBA ballers can wear these – Chris Bosh of the Heat, Carlos Boozer of the Bulls, Aaron Brooks of the Rockets. The simple team-based colorway makes for easy fitting into any colorway scheme. A look at the insole features the “POP” graphic that was seen on previous Nike Basketball releases as well. These Hyperdunk 2k10s are just a sample colorway but would most likely make it into production – perhaps Spring 2011. Check out the extra pics and pick these up from cigar0330 on eBay.

Nike Air Max 90 Infrared Available Early @ Finishline
BREAKING NEWS:
The Nike Air Max 90 Infrared – arguably the most anticipated Nike Air Max Retro of the 2010 – will re-release once again next Saturday, July 24th. However, some Finishline retail locations have begun to sell the Infrared 90 today, one week before the official release date of the shoe, with the shoe being showcased on storefront displays. Quite an anomaly for a large retail chain such as Finishline to “break” a release date, but this serves as a benefit for those who may have limited options. These are not available on their online store as of yet but hit up your local Finishline now to grab ‘em early or grab a pair on eBay.

Nike Air Max Hyped USA Basketball | Available

We’ve seen USAB editions of the Hyperdunk 2010 and Hyperfuse, and now it’s time to see that red, white and navy look on another of Nike Basketball’s key releases for the 2010-11 season.  The new Nike Air Max Hyped is a mid-to-high cut basketball shoe that features a shape similar to the Hyperdunk 2K10, but is constructed of more traditional materials.  Instead of Flywire-equipped TPU, the upper is crafted in synthetic leather, with a navy blue suede stripe coming in on the hindfoot in place of the carbon fiber we’ve seen on other AM Hypeds.  Toss in a Max Air unit for the heel and these are ready to go, and you can cop yours today from ID4shoes on eBay.

Whether it’s on a bikini or a mini-skirt, polka dots are strictly for girls! Check out this new Nike WMNS Dunk Low in photo blue and white with polka dots sprayed all over the upper. These look to be a perfect shoe for the summer-time so grab these now from Kicks-Crew.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 7/10 7/16

After last Thursday’s “Decision”, a lot of questions arose regarding the effect of LeBron’s departure on the world of sneakers. After that minor derailing, the sneaker domain went back on track with astounding news stories and events. Sneaker News brought you looks at two pairs of Air Jordan VII Retros – one with an extra logo and another without any at all. To even out the Retro releases, was the revelation of the Air Jordan Prime 5, a Jordan 1+5 hybrid. That was just part of the Air Jordan news, as extra updated info regarding upcoming releases was brought to light, such as the entire September line-up, as well as other 2011 drops. Between the new and the old was the opening of SoleFly, a Jordan Brand-affiliated sneaker boutique. The Future Sole 2010 Design Competition also came closer to an end, as the final 24 submissions were up for public vote.

The return of the fat-tongue led to a collective “Phew!”; this week, new colorways of the Mid and High reminded us that only the Low is the beneficiary of the fat tongue. LeBron James did indeed attract a ton of attention in the basketball world with his MVP LeBron VII, as well as the removal of the Nike ‘Witness’ billboard in Cleveland, but bonafide elite superstar Kevin Durant and his third sig shoe boxed LeBron out a bit. In South Korea, a sneaker showcase called Sole Exposition featured the best of Jordan, LeBron, and Kobe, but not to be outdone, some notable celebs in America showed off some heat too. And finally, we got a long-awaited look at the collaboration between ATF and Nike and a peek at some upcoming samples stirred the pot, particularly the Air Lunarmax+ 90. Your decision right now should be to “take your attention to Sneaker News Weekly Rewind,” because it looks like there’s a lot of good stuff ahead.

Air Jordan Force Fusion 5 Grape + White Spice Light Retro | Release Reminder

Arguably the most popular colorway of the Air Jordan V returns tomorrow in Air Jordan Force Fusion form, as the AJF5 ‘Grape’ officially hits Jordan Brand retail stores tomorrow. While Fusion fans have been patiently waiting for the Grape colorway to drop, the new colorway releasing alongside it is definitely a fresh new colorway  with a summer-time vibe. The combination of white, spice, light retro, and black should invoke feelings of Miami’s South Beach and the tropical atmosphere. Both colorways feature the classic Air Jordan V styling, with the fighter-jet “teeth” on the midsole, translucent netting on the sidewall, and the gaudy 3M-tongue. Check out the extra shots after the jump and don’t forget to cop these tomorrow.
