USA Basketball continues to prepare for the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey, having cut the squad down to 15 finalists on Tuesday. Here’s a look at two upcoming Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PEs, with one player almost certainly guaranteed to make the final twelve and another who’s enjoying a relatively relaxing summer in South Beach. The HD2K10 USAB PEs for Lamar Odom and Chris Bosh are identical save the script that marks their tongues, the main difference being that Odom is almost guaranteed to be ballin’ in Turkey while Bosh gets ready for an entire season under the microscope with the Miami Thrice. Click the jump below for more shots and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the upcoming stateside release. via UC

Earlier this month Sneaker News showed you images of a Nike SB Dunk High that was designed by Civil of Rhode Island. Featuring a mix of subtle grey tones as well as contrasting materials on the upper, the Civil x Nike SB Dunk High spurns the loud colors usually found on Nike SB Dunks and goes for the concrete skate-shoe look, much like the Vans and Airwalks of the 90s. The previous images we showed you depicted the shoes with red fat SB laces, but the shoes itself do not come with a red set – but clearly the rouge color works well with this color-blocking. These just dropped early at Flatspot so check out the nice gallery of images after the jump and let us know if you think which color laces – white or red – make these look better.

Is it fair to call the Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 a retro shoe? The design itself was so ahead of its time – it seems more fitting of today’s architectural trends. Then again, that wouldn’t be fitting of Nike’s innovative style. Pretty impressive to say a shoe that released nearly two decades ago looked like it could have been released today. The Grey Stone/Medium Yellow colorway is often regarded as the most popular and most recognized colorway of the Nike Air Trainer Max ’91 so its re-re-release (these came out half a decade ago) was a big thumbs up to older Trainer fans and even the youngsters who are looking to spread out the collection from the typical Air Jordan or SB Dunk. These have been popping up at retailers here and there but if you haven’t come across them, you can pick them up right now from Shaolin8 on eBay.

Much like the recently released White/Turquoise/Lemon colorway of the Air Jordan IX (9) Retro for kids, this new Air Jordan II (2) Retro slipped through the cracks and went by unnoticed. Then again, not much attention is given to kids sizes of Air Jordan retros, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth a second look. Check out this kids colorway of the AJ2 in Lavender, Deep Purple, and Del Sol; the nubuck upper is covered in a cool shade of lavender that borders on grey with a deep purple trim and inner lining. The laces feature a glittery speckling treatment with a midsole that appears to have some sort of glossy coat. The heeltab features “AIR” like that of the Air Jordan II Premio as well as the 25th Anniversary release, making for three different heeltabs on the 2010 Air Jordan II releases. Check out the extra images after the jump and pick up a pair from sneakpeakcloset on eBay.

While our love for sneakers may stand firm, all sneakerheads at some point or another make the heartrending decision to liquidate their sneaker collections, whittling down the amassed kicks to a mere 15 or 20 pairs that they hold dear to their hearts. Such is the case for Arman Marwah, a sneakerhead born from an Indian father and Caucasian mother and born and raised in Hong Kong. Arman moved to New York at the age of sixteen, and it was there he got to fully explore his sneakerhead potential – NYC is one of the most well-documented sneaker hot-spots in the universe. Unfortunately, Arman’s passion for the “game” had waned, and he’s amidst a fire sale of his most limited kicks such as the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low, A.R.C. x Asics Gel Lyte III, Mad Hectic x New Balance MT580, and many others – and he’s even set up a blog just to sell ‘em. Arman’s got quite an eclectic taste as he doesn’t seem to heavily favor one label, so check out some of what he’s got for sale and head on over to Sneaker Freaker for the entire feature.

Nike Sportswear’s tortured us before with its Foamposite fiasco of late May/early June, and they’re about to ruffle a few more feathers. NSW just recently updated its Twitter account with a simple message: “Looks like Kanye West is on twitter again. Maybe we should do some kind of collaboration with that guy.” Obviously Nike’s already teamed up with Kanye West before, resulting in last year’s Nike Air Yeezy – number 2 on Sneaker News’ Top 30 of 2009. So what can we make of Nike Sportswear’s comment? An innocent inside joke of some sort, or perhaps a hint into something absolutely monumental? Could we have a Nike Air Yeezy II in the works, or perhaps more colorways of the original Nike Air Yeezy? Perhaps we are reading too much into the “tweet” but there’s no denying a Yeezy II would cause a mass alert in the sneaker world. What do you guys think? If new colorways of the Air Yeezy were planned, what would you suggest? via NSW Twitter.

Fat Joe, one of the biggest sneakerheads (pun intended?) in the hip-hop world, brought out a star studded crowd for his concert at S.O.B.’s, an event that was presented by Hot 97 and Intrigue Liqueurs. A large conglomerate of Joey Crack’s peers was seen supporting the rapper backstage, a group that included fellow sneaker aficionado and our friend DJ Clark Kent as well as Cassidy, Redman, Buckshot, DJ Premier, and more. Fat Joe, whose new album The Darkside Volume 1 is in stores now, rocked a pair of the Nike Air Foamposite One’s in the Copper colorway. Also present was Hot 97 personality Peter Rosenberg, who wore a pair of Air Jordan Spiz’ike’s in the White and Fire Red colorway.

The list of Air Force 1 releases is definitely an impressive one – perhaps one of the better AF1 line-ups in recent years – and the upcoming Air Force 1 High constructed of Foamposite material should establish a completely unexplored level of the shoe. Some love it, some may even hate it, but all are definitely intrigued by the Air Force 1 High x Foamposite because of the once improbable combination. Needless to say, the Foam Forces have caused an incredible buzz; these are set to release on August 14th at Nike Sportswear retailers but Sneaker Palace in the Bronx already has them in stock if you want to take a closer look.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is quite possibly the most imitated sneaker ever released and here are four new colorways that each offer a new spin on this timeless classic. First up are two lowtop Chucks that feature a suede toecap rather than the typical white rubber carried over from the soles, a toecap that matches the rest of the upper and looks great with tonal eyelets and laces. Choose from olive green or black, the same colors of which are also available on a duo of hightop All Stars. The difference here, other than height, is the use of the classic toe and ultra durable flight jacket-like nylon. Click the jump below for shots of all four and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release. via UNDFTD

What started with an ‘unleashing’ on NIKEiD has become the latest staple for Nike Training. The new Nike Air Max TR1+ pictured above is the most aggressive colorway we’ve seen yet, opting for mostly black and red with a little white. The uncaged 360 Max Air cusion is a bright red warning to anyone who has to compete with the athlete preparing in these TR1s, while the forefoot strap will keep you stable during lateral movements. These are set to release on Eastbay this upcoming September so check out more shots after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway.

Converse is teaming up with Big Boi – one half of ATL-based hip-hop dynamo duo OutKast – to create a custom pair of the Converse Chuck Taylor. On the tongue you will see Big Boi’s namesake in an OutKast-like crest with his recently released solo album title Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty printed on the lateral sidewalls of the uppers. Antwan Andre Patton aka Big Boi aka Luscious Left Foot also talks about the Converse Chuck Taylor and the importance of the shoe in sneaker culture, so continue reading for another look as well as the video interview with the man himself. These will be releasing online at select e-retailers so stay tuned for more release info.

Not only is the design of the Air Jordan One6 One7 receiving praise, but so are the nostalgic colorways. With a patent leather toe/mudguard and a translucent gum sole, it’s hard not to draw comparisons to the Air Jordan XI, especially when the recently released colorways resemble the Concord, Columbia, and Space Jam XI. This new colorway features an all-red midsole which should actually remind you of the White/Varsity Red Air Jordan XVII colorway. Either way, this is another successful colorway of the One6 One7 so cop these now at Finishline if they catch your eye.
