It seems Kevin Garnett and his Celtics teammates started the ‘big three’ trend, but KG is following a few other aging NBA stars to sign with a burgeoning brand from overseas. We reported back in May that Boston’s big man was switching shoe companies for the second time, and now he’s touched down in China to officially ink a sneaker deal with ANTA. Click the jump below to get a sense for how the ‘Keep Moving’ brand welcomed their new headline athlete including his new ‘KG’ logo, and stick with Sneaker News for the latest on the upcoming new Kevin Garnett ANTA shoes.

this is just a sign of the end, just look at all the other players who signed with overseas companies, I'm guessing they're just cashing in, when they know they're almost done.
plus the shoes all end up being whack,

Just goes to show how popular the NBA is in China and how much money these Chinese footwear companies have to throw around

Alwayls loved KG, but since he left Nike never cared for his kicks, but follow that money train KG. Sneakernews I think he has switched shoe companies more than twice. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its Nike to AND1 to Addidas to Anta.

Nah,the logo looks like something straight out of grade school.Weak.

I think its silly for him to sign with a no name brand from china as apposed to putting out a semi decent adidas and as for his symbol I think that was the worst part of it all. That big G with a k inside it. That’s just dumb.

It is unfortunate that a legend like KG has been in three of the best companies and accessories for basketball in the shit end of this Japanese company.

AND1 to Nike to ANTA, actually
Both he and Starbury were on AND1 for most of their time in Minnesota together.

The company owns FILA. They have experience making good shoes.

Good luck KG… Get them RMB's (chinese money)… and spend it all here in the states on American made stuff.
August 2nd, 2010 at 7:25 pm
Guess all the money he made during the past wasn't enough to feed his family like his former team latrell sprewell said…
August 2nd, 2010 at 8:34 pm
Correct…KG was with Nike first then And1 before moving on…
Anta's are ok…better so far than Li-Ning. I haven't really seen any Apex shoes anywhere so can't really compare. But I'd rather sport the Reebok Zig Slash than any of the Anta shoes out there. Hope they come out with something nice for KG. Nike's are still the best kicks for basketball.

Anta is a Chinese company. Mizuno and Asics are Japanese shoe manufacturers and make pretty good shoes and have nice technology in them. They just don't make basketball shoes that appeal to the western market is all and look very bland.

yep. nike> and 1> adidas> anta.

Some of you guys fail to realize that there is a big market in China. Yall better look out for these Chinese Companies they are moving in the US market rapidly. Li Ning has done their research and now they have acquired Sonny Vaccaro Nike, Adidas better look out because these chinese Company has a lot of money to spend to push their brand. Don't forget there is a Billion plus people in China so you be the judge why KG, Baron Davis, Evan Turner and Jason Kidd Sign to these Chinese Companies. One they cutting checks and they gonna spend to push their Brand. Good luck to KG and Anta. You you right he has to think about after basketball.

I love adidas, I'm just disappointed why he opted put his contract with them. Oh well, I'm a big fan of KG, I will surely buy some of his shoes….Well then good luck.. hope it will sell not only in china but all of asia……

HAHAHAHA Epicness. Say, what do you guys know of China?
I live here and I was born in the US.
I'd say they're catching (TOO QUICKLY) in EVERYTHING.
In about 5~10 years, they'd have an entire "army" of NBA stars.
What can I say? I love Shanghai more than New York now. You dare to walk outside on the streets 2 o'clock in the morning? In Shanghai, you could do that and no one could harm ya. In New York…You all know the crap.
Shoes? Come on, are you guys still thinking China's making shits? Well, that means you've never been to China. TOO many North Face jackets are made in China. TOO many Jansport bags are made in China.
Even the shoes you have! I'd say more than 90% of them are made in China.

Very simple. KG wants to expand his world brand. This is not a Spree type I need to feed my family move.
For the record KG signed with Nike as a rookie. Next was And 1 mid way through the 00-01 season. Then Adidas and now with ANTA.
Good for the Big Ticket.
I feel ya young fella.
