Much like last month’s Air Jordan IX (9) Citrus release, the ‘For The Love of the Game’ Air Jordan IX (9) will release on a Wednesday, falling on August 11th. These were first dubbed the “reverse Powders” for the opposite color-blocking of white and university blue but the curious heart-shaped basketball logo had our readers speculating about the meaning behind the logo. The availability of the shoe was also in question, and the production numbers are still somewhat cloudy despite rumors of just 2,000 pairs being made, but that number’s a bit too round to be credible. What you can easily accept is that these are indeed limited, so be sure to be at your Foot Locker House of Hoops on Wednesday, August 11th.

im actually the sneaker, mad it releases on a workday though. hopefully they will sit lke 90 percent of the other jordaN RELEASES SO IT CAN BE AN EASY COP

@ Steven…I hope so, I live in Cleveland, where not exactly home of the rare kicks and I’m on these like raja bell on Kobe in the 06 playoffs, so hopefully cats do sleep cuz I’m tryna cop like a detective…

i think i'll pass, but i agree with ^steven^ and ^jade^ tho, alot of j's were slept on this year, it seems as tho these couple of past years jordan brand have lost their ability to stir up crazy anticipation amongst 95% of the public like they like used too back in the days, back when i was a kid J's never sat on display at a spot for more than a week,.

@ Idizzyx Man I agree over here in the DMV any retro being released from numbers 1-13 would never even make it to the display shelf now they even start to put retros up for discount prices I thought I would never see the day especially up in the DMV where we stay heavy on the J's Foamz
