The color red is usually attributed to love, but for Michael Jordan, his love of the game emits a carolina blue aura that reminds us of Jordan’s budding legacy that started at the University of North Carolina. Releasing tomorrow is the Air Jordan IX (9) ‘For the Love of the Game’ in a white and University Blue colorway. The Air Jordan IX (9) first released in 1993, when Michael Jordan decided to hang up his jersey and retire from the game after winning three straight championships, but his love of the game and the competitive nature it brings was too powerful for him to resist. Jordan returned late in the ’94-’95 season and went on to win three straight championships during his first three full seasons back. The AJ9 ‘Love’ will release at select Jordan Brand retailers like WEST in New York City, and GS (Grade School) and PS (Pre-School) sizes will also be available.
