Sneaker News’ coverage of the Air Jordan x Atmos Pop-Up Store and the House of Hoops featured events should’ve been more than enough to warm you up for the World Basketball Festival, a celebration of the game of basketball on a worldwide scale but held in New York City, the mecca of basketball. The historic Radio City Music Hall opened its door to the World Basketball Festival and the awe-inspiring events, and the day kicked off with a basketball clinic held for children of local community groups, in which young basketball fans got a chance to work out with NBA players like Kevin Durant, Rajon Rondo, and Yi Jian Lian. Later in the evening, Coack K, Jerry Colangelo, and other notable figures spoke about the World Basketball Festival as well as the international platform set by the FIBA World Championship.
Following the interview session was a inter-squad scrimmage on a regulation hardwood floor, with the Radio City Music Hall serving as the foundation. To cap off the night, Jay-Z performed a half-hour set with some help from Swizz Beats and other pals, but as you know, HOV already made some noise with the Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 ‘All Black Everything’ Pack that was first reported on Sneaker News two nights ago. Continue reading for a look into the event as well as video of Jay-Z’s entire performance and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more in-depth coverage of the World Basketball Festival.

Too bad LeBron didn't look nearly as interested in the game as the rest of us would have been if we were there: http://www.noregard.net/2010/08/no-regard-video-e…
