The year was 1997 and Michael Jordan was entering his final year with the Chicago Bulls; it was a bittersweet season for Bulls fans and the NBA – sad for the fact that the greatest ever would no longer be in a Bulls uni and happy for the fact that a team outside of Chicago had a chance at winning a ‘chip. During that wondrous season in which Jordan averaged nearly 29 points a game and led the Bulls to a 62-win season, Michael wore the Air Jordan XIII in a number of colorways – almost too many to count. Finally releasing after thirteen years of quietude are two original colorways of the AJ13 as well as a re-release of the Flints, all headed for a monstrous Holiday 2010 season.
The White/Red pair was Jordan’s favorite for Home games during the ’97-’98 regular season and we were lucky to get a low-top version in 2005, so the mid-top will be a huge hit once it releases. The Black/White pair was seen on MJ’s feet during the All-Star Game of that season as well as during Home Playoff Games. However the Retro releases looks to features a 3M-reflective mesh-like shroud (as seen on other AJ13 releases) rather than the original leather – quite possibly the Black/Voltage Cherry GS kids release. And finally, the Flint XIII will makes its third encore presentation as well. With three big Air Jordan XIII releases headed our way, making a concrete decision on just one pair is getting increasingly tough as the Holiday 2010 season nears. Which pair do you have your eye on? They should have not call those black 1s Playoffs, they are not even close, how they fuck up the 1st retro release of a shoe….smmfh….Flints ok , White/reds good 2 go them black 1s still worth copping a pair cause Im a 13 lover but I not excited about em any. I was going 13 crazy since their my favs , I got '05 Flints VnDS and I was still buying at least 2 or 3 more, 2 white/reds and 2 or 3 Playoffs , since their not Playoffs, I just buy 1 pair.

Looks like they mixed the two playoff colors/materials together. Frankley i'm tired of the OG colors over and over again. I'll take that black/white & redish pink pair especially since the other 2 are already in the closet.

Yo…..yall fools need to step up some knowledge. I dont know for a fact. BUT that red looks mad off. The shape looks off. The bottoms are different too. Those arent no playoffs. "Playoffs" arent even supposed to come out till 2011. These things say 2010. Also If yall look back on other jordan news from months back. There was a gs shoe. That looked very famliar to many. and people thought those were the playoffs.

JB gotta stop this bs of killing og kix is not like they're not making millions of dollars with the high
mark-ups on all the kix they sell, JB please don't tarnish the legacy of the retro shoes (e.g. Retro 13 with 3m instead of leather) do whatever you want to do with the Fusions/Hybrids and all of those mixes and remixes, but have some respect by paying homage to the retros and stay truth to the greatest collection of sports shoes the were ever worn by the greatest athlete of all times. 13s are probably my fav js and i never really liked the playoffs now that it has the 3m it looks better but i do think jb should of kept it leather beacuse thats how he had them. but the material that the 3m is stiched into is mesh which helps your foot breath and one bad thing about thirteens is your foot gets hot in em so the mesh helps it cool down the shoe, thats why they may of done that

the white bottomed ones pictured above..if you do your research the XIII's he wore in the playoffs
back then were a low top version of these retros that he wore when they played the Pacers, yes MJ
wore blk/red XIII lows!!!! i think he rocked them for the first half during a game of the Pacer series before switching to the blk/red XIV's. dont believe me look it up.

Yep, Jordan wear-tested XIII Lows during the 2nd round of the Playoffs. In the Finals, he wore black/red mids and of course the Last-shot 14s.
In any case, the shoe pictures above is NOT the 'Playoff' version, but Kids colorway of Black and Voltage Cherry.

Why can't none of you fools read?? FIRST that ain't 3m , that is MESH, SECOND, if you READ the article, the last shoe is a KIDS ONLY RELEASE, not the playoffs. The Playoffs will be coming out in Jan. 2011.

Thats not the Playoffs!! Those are the Grade Schools 13s that release for kids only when the White/Red 13s drop on 12/18/10. The Playoffs dont come out until 2/26/11.

It looks like pink on the shoe not red, they took off both the leather and the yellow ring, and the toebox shape looks like that off a GS release. You can't tell me those are the Playoffs or if they're even for men

I just got the white and red how sweet, the new playoffs are coming out on Feb 26th! The picture you see up there is the junior pair in the all blacks. No worries the playoffs are coming out and are going to be original with the leather…do your homework folks!!!
