Nike Zoom Kobe V TB Fall 2010 Colorways

It might be a bummer when you realize that most of the colorways for your favorite Nike Basketball signature have already released, but that can be very exciting if you actually play organized ball yourself.  The end of the NBA season means Team Bank colorways for many of the hottest kicks, and you couldn’t have a 2010 offseason without the Nike Zoom Kobe V TB.  Kobe’s fifth sig is back in four new relatively simple colorways that eschew the fancy finishes and concept colorways in favor of a simple team-match.  Choose from royal, red or navy pairs with white on the ‘overlay’ sections or a white/black pair that flips the colorblocking script.  Check out shots of all four after the jump and grab the one that matches your team, today from Eastbay.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Hot Red | Re Release Info

Sneakerheads were pleased to learn of the Sport Red Nike Air Max Griffey 1 slated for a 2011 release, but what if you could already get a black/white/red AGM1?!  Fans of the Chicago/Cincinatti-style colorway will be happy to learn that the Hot Red Griffey 1s are being re-released just over a year after their initial offering.  These are darker than that other colorway Junior wore in the ’07 All Star Game, but the mostly black design of this pair might be a little more wardrobe-friendly.  Check out more shots after the jump and look for these at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Eastbay.

Air Jordan 1 Armor Reflective Silver White | November 2010

Last night Sneaker News released breaking news information on a second colorway of the Foamposite x Nike Air Force 1. Here’s a look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Armor in a similar Foamposite-like one-piece shell upper, set for a November 2010 release. The upper shell is a lot thinner to a typical Nike Foamposite One/Pro shoe and a comparison to the recently released Foam AF1 would be a bit more accurate, as the Air Jordan 1 High is a lower-profile, less bulkier shoe. This upcoming release comes adorned with a white midsole with silver stitching as well as a translucent blue-tinted outsole. Foamposite on an Air Jordan? What are your thoughts? Take a look at the detailed shots after the jump and let us know what you think, and expect these to hit Jordan Brand retailers like Foot Locker this November.

World Basketball Festival Make Something Event Recap

Michael Jordan at Rucker Park. A hardwood basketball court on the Radio City Music Hall stage. Jay-Z performing live. The Air Jordan x Atmos Pop-Up Store. The World Basketball Festival was jam-packed with high-profile events, and for the WBF’s first ever showing, the bar was set really high. While much focus was placed on the superstars, the ‘Make Something’ Experience was definitely not to be overlooked; a small space was transformed into an interactive Nike art gallery, with well-known urban artists offering their skills to children of local communities by teaching art workshops and creating custom Nike Basketball shoes. The walls were neatly splattered with sketches and drawings, with other pieces scattered around the space – like the Nike hybrid shoe you see above. It’s part Nike Air Max Hyperdunk, part Nike McFly (not yet released, of course), but this sort of wacky experiment was the norm for the ‘Make Something’ Event. Take a look at a detailed images after the jump and you’ll get a first-hand look of the entire experience. Thanks to Extra Butter for the images.

Mark Parker Named The Worlds Most Creative CEO

Not that this warrants much shock, Mark Parker, Chief Executive Officer of company that serves as the backbone of the fastest growing fashion-based cultural phenomenon, was just named ‘The World’s Most Creative C.E.O.” by Fast Company Magazine. Mark Parker is the anti-Donald Trump, preferring to lurk behind the scenes while magically orchestrating the multi-billion dollar company while combing his full head of hair; in this feature, we get a look into Mark Parker’s most private quarters – his office – and you’ll see a room filled with organized clutter, like KAWS and Lil’ Penny figurines (among other priceless collectibles) and tons of original artwork. This collection reflects its owner’s insatiable appetite, one that will be the driving force for Nike Inc’s $27 Billion goal. If sneakerheadism was a religion, Mark Parker is the sun and the moon combined in one, so check out the segments of the article after the jump and pay your respects! via FRESHNESS.

Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Black | First Look

When the first images of the silver colorway of the Air Force 1 x Foamposite mash-up first surfaced, the response to Nike’s latest high-profile hybrid shoe was mixed at best.  A lot of people must have been won over between then and the release, because the shoe disappeared pretty quickly from almost every spot they hit a few weeks back, despite the lofty Foam-driven price tag. There has been much speculation over whether or not more colorways would follow, and now, Nike Sportswear gives us our first peek at a new Black/Black version. It’s unclear if these will hit retail, but the wording in their post leaves us optimistic. Stick with Sneaker News for more on future Air Force 1 Foamposite releases as new info emerges.

BREAKING NEWS:
There is currently a tasty rumor swirling around, proclaiming that, in addition to the eagerly-anticipated Air Jordan Retros that we already know of, there will be another high-profile Jordan 2-pack hitting retail in 2011. While it hasn’t yet been officially confirmed, it looks like we may see a pack next summer containing both the Grape and Laney colorways of the Air Jordan V. The reported package will likely be a Summer 2011 release, but at this point, nothing is set in stone. Stay tuned for word on an official confirmation and let us know where this would rate among past double-box Jordan Retro releases.

Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid Black Volt Dark Grey

SNEAKERNEWS.COM EXCLUSIVE

The Nike Huarache Trainer is a certified classic from the historic Nike Trainer catalog, and after an extended wait, Trainer fans will finally see an updated version that is very much worthy to carry on the torch. Sneaker News showed you images of the upcoming Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid during our coverage of the Nike Athletic Training Footwear Preview, and even Wale – arguably the biggest celebrity sneakerhead at the moment – was already seen rocking a pair of the Green Hornet Huarache TR Mid. Here’s an exclusive look at an upcoming Black/Volt/Dark Grey color-scheme; the primary color of the exoskeleton is black, with a dark grey inner bootie and midsole trim with neon volt accents on the “teeth” of the midsole, the branding on the in-step strap, the inner liner, and heel-tab.

The black/grey/volt colorway has been a staple of Nike footwear since its breakthrough appearance on the original Air Max 95, and does an excellent job once again on this highly anticipated shoe. The Zoom-cushioned Huarache TR Mid is set to arrive in the coming months, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates, and let us know what you think of this upcoming colorway.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High Jesse James West Coast Choppers Promo Sample

At first, you might think Jesse James and the Air Jordan 1 might be a strange match, but Michael Jordan’s love for motorcycles makes this special promo sample of the AJ1 make a lot of sense. Here’s a look at the Air Jordan 1 High Retro in Black/Red made for Jesse James of West Coast Choppers; this 2002 Retro pair features the WCC logo on the heel with the initials printed on the forefoot, as well as ‘Jesse James’ stitched on the inner lining of the shoe. Michael Jordan may have well been one of WCC’s high-profile clients, so this promo sample was possibly a gift to Jesse James and the WCC crew. Less than five pairs of these rare exclusives are known to be in existence, but you can add these size 12′s to your collection by bidding on the auction from thecoolshoeshine on eBay.
