If Nike WMNS Dunk featuring a ballistic nylon upper and Daybreak on the color code sounds familiar, that’s cos a pair of Highs just dropped last week with the same motif. These new WMNS Dunk Lows offer that same novel approach to the abrasive nylon material, but instead of center stage, the aforementioned shade of purple plays a supporting role on the laces and outsole. That leaves the upper Light Charcoal, which lends itself nicely to a suped-up take on ‘subtle’. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from select Nike Sportswear retailers including Extra Butter.

Part of the Nike Air Attack Pack display at Niketown, NYC featured the entire Air Attack sitting atop oxygen tanks labeled with nametags featuring Nike athletes past and present. These makeshift podiums are in use again at Nike Harajuku, where a Nike Air Max ‘More Than Air’ display has just gone up, using similar oxygen tanks but with a cartoonized graphic display. The focal point of the display is the Nike Air Max Omega Pack, which features the Nike Air Max 1, Air Maxim 1, and Air Max 90, calling Nike Air the ‘Runner’s Obsession’. Continue reading for another look at the display after the jump and be sure to check it out if you’re nearby the Harajuku district.

Diversitile’s Iron Man Nike Dunk Highs rivaled Nike SB’s own, with D’s customs going the detailed route and adding arc reactors to the tongues. A similar theme is at work with the ‘Cease’ Dunk High by Diversitile, a mix of black suede and leather with silver details. But the main feature’s gotta be the arc reactor-like triangular LED lights embedded into the tongues. These joints are rated for 200hrs of shine so the lights should outlast the white outsoles. A shoe comfortable in a cornucopia of colorways, the Nike Air Max LeBron VII has seen two different ‘Think Pink’ editions. The black colorway featured the AML7′s ‘standard’ Flywire-embedded side panels and were worn by LBJ himself during last season’s Box Out Breast Cancer night in Cleveland. LeBron never wore the white joints, but they made it to the NBA courts courtesy of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury. Mercury point guard Diana Taurasi and company raised more than $37k to support cancer research during their ‘Rock the Pink’ homestand and over 3 grand of that came from auctioning Taurasi’s white ‘Think Pink’ Air Max LeBron VIIs. The reigning league MVP’s game worn uniform sold for an astounding $12,500, and you can see more photos of both after the jump. via LRJ23

Often regarded as one of the greatest non-Legacy Air Jordans ever released, the Pro Strongs returned in 2010 in a slew of original and newly concocted colorways. Taking cues from the Air Jordan XIII (13), the Jumpman Pro Strong was considered Vin Baker’s principal shoe – we all remember him wearing the white/black/green joints back in the day. Here’s a look at the Chicago Bulls colorway of the Pro Strong, featuring a white primary base with a black and varsity red trim. These just released at Finishline so take another look at this colorway and head there to add these to your Pro Strong collection.

“…cutting out the extra fat, trimming off the excess…”
That’s the resounding theme with the most recent release of the Nike SB P-Rod Signature Line, one that has evolved through the years into what we see today. Paul Rodriguez’s primary desire was to have the ultimate performance shoes in his eyes, and that meant all suede, great cushion (Phylon + Zoom Air), and a slimmer appeal. While the shoe may have trimmed down a bit, it doesn’t go without its own special touches, like the leather swoosh on the bottom sole, the extra rubber grip implemented into the toe-box, and a breathable mesh toe. Sneaker News recently showed you P-Rod’s latest commercial that was set in NYC, and later today P-Rod, alongside other notable Nike SB riders like Eric Koston, Theotis Beasley will appear at Rucker Park in Harlem, NYC, for a special event. Continue reading for a the full video to see P-Rod’s take on the SB P-Rod IV and looking back on the P-Rod 1, let us know what you think about the changes seen over the years in Nike SB P-Rod Signature Line.

We’ve seen Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design collaborate with Nike Sportswear on a bunch of lifestyle-oriented lowtops. First came the Nike Zoom Tennis Classic, then All Court Low, which was followed by the Match Classic lowtops. With all these ‘fragmented’ lifestyle looks, to where else can Fujiwara turn his tag team efforts? How about another pack of All Court Lows by fragment design. Whereas the earlier joints were monochromatic suede with white accents, these are done in a range of textures of white leather with just a hint of color on the heel. Grey/blue, blue/pink and black/purple pairs will all hit Japanese retailer Head Porter on August 28th, so stick with Sneaker News for word on a stateside release. via CLSTR

Sneaker News first showed you a preview of the Nike Air Pippen II in the Eggplant colorway that helped define the 2009 sneaker culture. Now a household name, ‘Eggplant’ is becoming a household colorway as well now that it’s popped up on the Pippen II and other unexpected Nike models like the Air Max 24/7 and even the Shox R4. Here’s another look at the Nike Air Pippen II in the Varsity Purple finish; you can cop a pair in-store at the Foot Locker House of Hoops or try your luck by grabbing a pair on eBay.

The Nike Air Classic BW and Nike Air Max 98 are two classic Air Max models that are often overlooked, but this upcoming hybrid shoe will be hard to ignore. The BW first featured the ‘Big Window’ to Visible Air while the Air Max 98 featured Nike’s new Tuned Air, so this combination is more than just a random mash-up, but a symbol of two of Nike’s notable breakthroughs – much like the BW + 95 in the Air Max Modular 95 SI. Here’s another look at the Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI that Sneaker News first previewed in January; the overall silhouette is captured by the Air Classic BW but with finishing touches placed by the Air Max 98 (also referred to as the Air Max Plus or Air Max TN) as seen on the wavy lines on the upper as well as the modified Air unit on the heel. Sneaker News also showed you a sample pair of the Air Max Modular 98 SI in a similar colorway but with a bit more yellow, so even more colorways could be on the way. The Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI will hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info. via Complex.

A couple weeks back, we showed you a dope Nike Air Max 90 ‘Pigeon’ custom by MizzeeCustoms. Miz is at it again, this time going back another decade for his inspiration, to right around the time of the AM90′s own debut. With the ‘Infamiz’ Air Max 90, you’ve got a look that started with the Infrared AM90s but ended up looking quite a bit like Andre Agassi’s Air Tech Challenge II, complete with lava print on the mudguard and a similarly speckled tennis ball insignia on the tongue tags. Interesting stuff, and OG Air Max heads will find it particularly curious to see the Infrareds’ grey sections in an uncharacteristic black shade. Check out more shots after the jump and let us know how this stacks up against the same artist’s Pigeon AM90s.

Nike commercials have historically been, well, the best. Jordan’s career-highlight montage when he retired in ’98, those spine-tingling Nike Pro Combat mini-films with Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, the side-splitting Lil’ Penny joints, or the Nike Basketball Freestyle ‘mixtapes’ are just some examples of Nike’s dominance in advertising. Nike SB has moved into the mainstream, resulting in some hip commercials, like the one we showed you earlier today; with NYC-bred Nas narrating the scenes, P-Rod is seen skating through Park Ave. and under the BQE wearing the Nike SB P-Rod IV that is launching as we speak. Here’s a look at the Fall 2010 Collection, featuring three lows and two highs in simple colorways, all of which consisting of a breathable mesh tongue, Zoom Air cushioning, a dual-density sidewall, a skate-specific toe piece, and improved traction grooves. Take a look at the Nike SB P-Rod IV Fall 2010 Collection after the jump and chime in with your thoughts on Rodriguez’s fourth signature shoe. Everything you see here will be hitting retail in August and September, but if you really can’t wait, get the black/white P-Rod 4 Low now on eBay.
