Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Spec | Available

Some of Converse’s best releases in recent memory have come in the form of the flight jacket-inspired UNDFTD collaborations.  The Poorman Weapon made a name for itself with the sleek, shiny look and now it’s time for the biggest of the One Stars to get a nylon treatment.  The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Spec comes to you in black or olive green, both with white soles to add a bright spot.  Check out detailed images of both pairs of these flight jacket Chucks after the jump and grab yours today from the Six Feet Under store at Caliroots.

General Idea x Puma Disc Blaze + Apparel

For Puma’s collaboration with South Korean fashion label General Idea, the Puma Disc Blaze is the center of attention. Choi Bum Suk, the designer of the label, had two things in mind when deciding on the motif of this capsule – the fashion scene of the Seoul, South Korea, and the lyrics from a favorite song of his by Korean artist Deul Guk Hwa. The Disc Blaze features a reptilian textile on the upper with lyrics printed on the side-wall, and the matching hoodies follow the same idea, using a black/white colorway with largely printed lyrics and red/neon green trims. Check out the General Idea x Puma Capsule Collection after the jump for another look. via HS.

Nike Air 1/2 Cent Eggplant | Release Info

While ‘Eggplant’ has become increasingly common this year, there’s still a single release that trumps all the others.  Sure, the Eggplant Foamposite Ones insta-retroed on their huge momentum from 2009 and we’ve seen similar metallic purple colorways on the Shox R4 and Pippen II just to name a few, but the biggest new Eggplant release of the year has gotta be this new Nike Air Half Cent.  This colorway woulda been perfect for Penny Hardaway’s short stint in Phoenix but instead releases as perhaps the ultimate Nike Sportswear creation.  Check out more photos after the jump and look for these at select NSW retailers including Foot Locker on Wednesday, October 20th.

SneakersBR x Nike Dunk Low Pack

Brazil-exclusive sneakers are nothing new from Nike, with the South American nation known for its love of Nike SB and particularly the Dunk.  And while these SneakersBR x Nike Dunk Lows are equipped with Zoom Air, that’s cos they’re Premiums or Supreme-level releases, and not from SB.  In fact, the five Dunk Lows you see pictured above were created at NIKEiD Studio, and offer a tribute to the five different regions of Brazil.  SneakersBR editor and founder said their “goal was to better understand the many urban cultural scenes, by hearing interesting people in each city from different fields including visual arts, music, photography, advertising, journalism, among others,” so he sent Vincius Popó to tour the nation with these and last year’s ‘Lanciero’ Air Max 1s tucked in his luggage.  It’s an interesting study in Brazilian culture and an even more intriguing color study, so check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Supra TK Society Fall 2010 Colorways Available

The latest duo of Supra TK Society superhightops shows us exactly how different two black, blue and white kicks can be.  First off is the colorblocking; these Terry Kennedy signatures follow the same basic pattern except for the rear quarter, wing and lower strap, which matches the sole of one and the tongue of the other.  The former is, of course, the teal pair and the others are royal, making the inclusion of a little green pigment the main difference in these two releases.  Check out shots of both after the jump and look for them at select Supra retailers including their own Factory 413.

Converse Star Player Sock White Red Blue

The Converse Star Player is quite versatile, as evidenced by its inclusion in the CONS skateboarding lineup.  Here’s a brand new look for the old school veteran, a hightop Star Player in all white with a ribbed elastic ankle collar.  It’s basically like having a sweatband attached to the top of your kicks and makes for a sweet retro sporty look.  This pair is done with red and blue accents that give it that ever so slightly patriotic and completely summertime feel.  Check out more shots after the jump and grab yours today from Caliroots’ Six Feet Down.

Nike Air Zoom Barcelona Sample on eBay

Initially previewed in mid-March and slated for a Summer 2010 release, the 1992 Dream Team super-hybrid Nike Air Zoom Barcelona has yet to hit US retailers this summer. The Barcelona is a tribute to the Dream Team’s dominating Gold Medal performance, creating a new hybrid tribute model using elements of three of the Nike models worn by the team, namely the Air Jordan VII (7) Olympic, Barkley’s Air Force 180, and the Air Ballistic Force. The three shoes were fused to create the Air Zoom Barcelona, featuring the jagged midsole, visible Zoom on a 180-Air housing, the trademark in-step strap, and a starry insole. Reader response to the shoe was positive, but with the summer release season gone and the 1992 Dream Team anniversary now in the rear view as well, it’s starting to look like the Zoom Barcelona may go unreleased, at least in the States. You can check out some more pics after the jump, and on the bright side, you might be able to get your hands on this lone size 9 sample pair from cigar0330 on eBay.

Before They Were Pros: Air Jordan Edition Part 2

Yesterday night Sneaker News showed you a throwback gallery that featured NBA players during their college and earlier years rocking Jordans. Even after Jordan’s retirement, his influence on young aspiring basketball talents did not wane even the slightest bit. Guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul grew up looking up to Michael Jordan, and today, those four players are proud owners of their own signature shoe lines, the latter two as part of the Jordan Brand team. Continuing on our feature from last night, here’s Part 2 of Sneaker News’ ‘Before They Were Pros: Air Jordan Edition,” featuring younger NBA stars and up-and-comers in Air Jordan kicks. While MJ has retired, his footprint on the game can still be seen in today’s stars, so check out this great gallery of images and let us know which NBA star is the most ‘Jordan-like’. via Kenlu and NT.

Air Jordan IV, V, XVII, & XVIII Dissolved

We all have a few pairs that we keep on ice, saving those deadstock Nikes or Jordans for the sunniest of days when your swag level surpasses the already dangerous one-hundred-thousand-trillion level. Breaking out a fresh pair of kicks induces an almost drug-like feeling of elation but get some antacids ready because what you’re about to see will turn your stomach. Twice. Here’s a look at a small sample of an impressive sneaker collection from Valmonte of NT; he lives in Singapore, a country with one of the most humid climates in the world, and unfortunately his storage methods were rendered futile by the relentless moisture of the local atmosphere. His Air Jordan IV White/Cement, Air Jordan Vs, and even the more recent Air Jordan XVII and XVIII have fallen victim, and you can see his once proud Air Jordan Retros and Originals have withered down to breadcrumbs and leather. Take a look at his dissolved Air Jordans after the jump and remember, wear your kicks before it’s too late!

Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro Flint Available Early @ Kicks Crew

By now you should be well aware of the upcoming Air Jordan Flint XIII (13) Retro – even Fabolous rocked a pair during the Air Jordan x Atmos Pop-Up Store Launch Event. Celebs like to stay topical when it comes to sneakers and the Flint XIII was certainly a great choice. These are set for a stateside release in November, but as you know, Asian retailers typically get stuff way sooner than we do. If you needed these earlier like Fabolous did, we gave you a heads up on RMKStore’s early drop, but now our friends at KicksCrew has these available as well. If you want to avoid the lines or possible resale prices, might as well pay a little above retail to guarantee yourself a pair, right? Check out images after the jump and head over the Kickscrew to cop a pair.
