Nike has parterned up with Foot Locker – perhaps the most well known sneaker retailer of our generation – to produce an exclusive pair of the Nike Air Max 90, featuring a mix of vibrant colors that should have trainer fans excited. Trainer? Yes, because these will be exclusive to Foot Locker locations in Europe, where Air Max runners are dubbed ‘trainers’. Featuring a mix of white, grey, black, purple, neon green, and hot red, this Foot Locker x Air Max 90 just released across the pond yesterday. A stateside release has not been confirmed at the moment but stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you updated regarding this release.

The New Balance CM998 is a staple model for the Boston-based company, but not on the level of your 574/576 or 580s. 998s come along even less frequently than 1500s, but this new pair done in collaboration with LEXUSVII was worth the wait. Appearing in a Timberland-like motif, these NEXUSVII x New Balance CM998s are constructed in tan suede with hiking/workboot laces and a leather sockliner to complete the rugged look. Check out more shots after the jump and work on your overseas connects cos the August 17th drop looks to be a Japanese exclusive. via Tokishirazu

adidas Equipment was a major part of Three Stripes’ 1990s marketing efforts and the adidas EQT basketball line has been celebrated in a number of retro and collaborative releases. The EQT’s running forebears had been all but forgotten until now, with the adidas Equipment Support making a comeback. The ‘Now and Then Pack’ is slated for a December 2010 release right about 20 years after the OG white/green/grey/black joints hit back in ’91, featuring a trio of new colorups to spice up the mix. Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Chicago-based artist Cody Hudson has seen his work exhibited in Europe and Asia, but this new collaboration with Converse is 100% grade-A all American. The Cody Hudson x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star pictured above is part of the ongoing PRODUCT (RED) capsule whose proceeds go to fight AIDS in Africa. You might find Cody’s Chucks similar to other Converse collaborators’, specifically John Varvatos, but the inclusion of an intricate polygonal stamp on the lateral ankle area makes these unique. Reebok recently introduced the Reebok Insta Pump Fury Superlite 2010, a revamped rendition of the 90′s Reebok Classic. We can’t forget the original though, so check out the Reebok Insta Pump Fury Original Mesh Pack, featuring three familiar Reebok colorways constructed in prime materials. The Insta Pump Fury was definitely a shoe a head of its time, combining the Insta Pump technology as well as Reebok’s heralded Hexalite cushioning system. These three new sick colorways just dropped at Japanese retailer atmos so you can either cop a pair there or keep your fingers crossed for a stateside release. Check out the new colorways after the jump and let us know which pair catches your eye.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Pearl’ offers the most direct route to the essence of Foamposite’s satiny goodness, but they’ve not been the easiest kicks to get your hands on. Last May’s House of Hoops exclusive drop left many lacking, so luckily this year will see a wider (but still limited) distribution. Set to hit retailers on Friday, September 3rd, the Pearl Foams will be available select retailers including Foot Locker, and you can enjoy some new photos after the jump in the meantime.

Last month Sneaker News showed you new images of an upcoming Nike Kobe shoe in an all-black colorway; Sneaker News can now officially confirm that the sample is indeed the Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6). Here’s a look at a new White/Purple colorway of the upcoming shoe; the design aspects are nearly similar to the Black/White Sample we showed you before – snakeskin graphic on the toe, embossed snakeskin applique on the heel-bumper – but take a look at the heel and you’ll see the word ‘Venomenon’ stamped on the upper midsole area, an obvious play on words alluding the Kobe Bryant’s slithery alter ego, the ‘Black Mamba‘.
The updated tech-specs of this upcoming Kobe features updated traction as well as a new full-length basketball-specific Zoom Air cushioning unit, going from 16mm at the heel and tapering down to 6mm at the forefoot, which signifies two things: better comfort and probable higher price-point. In these images, the Samples sit atop a newly designed box (but could just be a makeshift podium). Sneaker News has also been informed that the leather version will likely not be produced, but will rather feature a newly designed nylon/elastic type upper material. Continue reading for another look at this upcoming Kobe shoe and let us know what you think of the design. via shox2001 on NT.

Over the weekend, Chris Paul was in New York City representing Jordan Brand at the World Basketball Festival, as he partook in a special Jordan Brand Breakfast Club Event @ Rucker Park as well as a Q&A session @ the House of Hoops. Sneaker News reported a limited edition set of Jordan Brand ‘For the Love of the Game’ figurines that went up for sale at Atmos, featuring Chris Paul wearing a never-before-seen pair of shoes. Turns out the Chris Paul figurine was wearing the upcoming Jordan CP3.IV, Chris Paul’s fourth signature shoe with Jordan Brand. Boasting an I.P.S. cushioning system carried over from the CP3.III and derived from the Air Jordan XX, the CP3.IV features the same mid-cut silhouette from its predecessors, with a sturdy heel-cup, mesh ankle liner, and herringbone traction. The upper design of the CP3.IV features a mosaic-like graphic consisting of triangular segments, with a perforated leather strip going down the length of the shoe. Continue reading for another look at the upcoming Jordan CP3.IV and let us know if this is the best of the CP3 line to date. via hoopchina.

Dee Brown *made* the Reebok Pump Omni Lite. The diminutive Boston Celtics guard reached down to Pump it up and he aired out on a blindfolded dunk that was so good, Cederic Ceballos basically copied it the next year and still won. You’ll always remember the Pump and the blindfolded dunk together, which is why it’s so surprising to see the tongue tags of this Nike Air Max T-Zone. Dee’s right there, forearm over his eyes in flight and the Celtics colorway is right; but why on a pair of Nikes?! Whether these were a practical joke or a sign of some kind of defection is not immediately obvious, but you can grab this rare collectors piece from checkmarksthespot on eBay.

There’s a party on Wednesday in Vegas celebrating their release, but that’s about all we knew about the UNDEFEATED x Vans Era ‘Hernan’ collaboration. Here’s a look at this quartet of collabo lowtops, each pair done in a simple colorway but with a unique selection of fabrics. Tonal white/cream, black, red and blue pairs is nothing revolutionary for a year filled with simple designs but the pairing of rough suede with woven nylon is like the UNDFTD take on 2010′s time capsule. Check out more shots after the jump and get ready for these to hit select retailers on Wednesday, August 18th. via HS

The Nike Air Max 24/7 has enjoyed quite a bit of momentum in the form of signature colorways from its Air Max 95 and 97 constituents, but what about a new palette to define the 24/7 as an individual? We might look back on this Midnight Blue and Blue Lacquer pair of AM 24-7s as the one that ranks up there with ‘Neon’ and ‘Silver Bullet’, cos the distinctive stylings of this tonal blue design make for an instantly memorable hybrid runner for 2010. Check out more shots after the jump and look for these now at select retailers.

It’s not too terribly uncommon to see someone rocking sneakers without laces, and a tongue with elastics can greatly improve the fit. Check out this unreleased sample from 2007, an Air Jordan 1 Low Slip-On that never saw the light of day at retail. These might remind you of the J-Man elastics that Jordan Brand released for preschoolers, but these AJ1 Slip-Ons offer a subtler use of the stretchy stuff, presumably something like a SB Dunk Low. This super rare sample comes in the OG white/red/black colorway and is available for a short time from deadmans-second-hand on eBay.
