Nike Air Max Light Black Red White | Sample

Even for a shoe whose best releases are often Euro exclusives, 2010 has been a relatively slow year for the Nike Air Max Light.  Here’s a look at a new sample pair, and while we don’t know if they’ll make it to retail at this point, it’s safe to say they’d be a big seller.  That’s cos the black design with select red and white hits has just enough Chicago style carryover to match a ton of existing outfits, not to mention the particularly clean colorblocking scheme.  Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via Pyrophilly

David Beckham x adidas Originals Gazelle Vintage Mid

Even though it’s not very much like the original from which it takes its name, the adidas Gazelle Mid from David Beckham and James Bond looks to become a Three Stripes staple in its own right.  As was the case with the Spring ’10 pairs, these joints are comprised of a tonal upper with a prominent tan foxing band and white sole.  A rich burgundy leather covers the entire upper with tonal laces finishing off a supremely warm look for autumn.  Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from select adidas Originals retailers like New York’s Extra Butter.

Air Jordan Rare Air Olympic | Available

USA Basketball coming together once again for the upcoming FIBA World Championships so it’s quite normal if you’ve got that patriotic ‘U.S.A.! U.S.A.!’ thing going on. The Jordan Rare Air – JB’s newest hybrid – was introduced in an Olympic colorway but the timing could be questioned. An Olympic release in a non-Olympic year? Perhaps these might’ve gained more steam had these introduced in 2012, but they’re available now at select Jordan retailers. The midsole design takes after the air Jordan IV and VI, featuring the Olympic ring colors, while the toe and heel mimic the AJ III and the elephant print, though a closer look reveals that the print isn’t on a leather toe/heel panel of its own, but rather branded partially onto the existing piece. These just dropped at Premier so take another look after the jump and add these to your Jordan hybrid collection today.

Before They Were Pros: Air Jordan Edition Part 1

In an era when Magic Johson and Larry Bird were closing out their respective careers, Michael Jordan emerged as the next idol of idols for young ballers across the nation to emulate. Before former League MVPs Allen Iverson and Dirk Nowitzki, as well as NBA Champions Lamar Odom and Ron Artest, made names for themselves in the NBA, they all grew up looking up to Michael Jordan as a blueprint of success of sorts. Needless to say, they all displayed an affinity for Air Jordans during their collegiate and pre-NBA days, and even Kevin Garnett had love for ‘Baldy’ during his formative years in Minnesota. Check out this great gallery of NBA pros rocking Jordans during their earlier days, and while you may expect some guys to rock Jordans, you will surely be surprised at a few. via Kenlu and NT.
