Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI Black White Blue

The Nike Air Classic BW and Nike Air Max 98 are two classic Air Max models that are often overlooked, but this upcoming hybrid shoe will be hard to ignore. The BW first featured the ‘Big Window’ to Visible Air while the Air Max 98 featured Nike’s new Tuned Air, so this combination is more than just a random mash-up, but a symbol of two of Nike’s notable breakthroughs – much like the BW + 95 in the Air Max Modular 95 SI. Here’s another look at the Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI that Sneaker News first previewed in January; the overall silhouette is captured by the Air Classic BW but with finishing touches placed by the Air Max 98 (also referred to as the Air Max Plus or Air Max TN) as seen on the wavy lines on the upper as well as the modified Air unit on the heel. Sneaker News also showed you a sample pair of the Air Max Modular 98 SI in a similar colorway but with a bit more yellow, so even more colorways could be on the way. The Nike Air Max Modular 98 SI will hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info. via Complex.

Nike Air Max 90 Inframiz Lava ATC Customs by MizzeeCustoms

A couple weeks back, we showed you a dope Nike Air Max 90 ‘Pigeon’ custom by MizzeeCustoms.  Miz is at it again, this time going back another decade for his inspiration, to right around the time of the AM90′s own debut.  With the ‘Infamiz’ Air Max 90, you’ve got a look that started with the Infrared AM90s but ended up looking quite a bit like Andre Agassi’s Air Tech Challenge II, complete with lava print on the mudguard and a similarly speckled tennis ball insignia on the tongue tags.  Interesting stuff, and OG Air Max heads will find it particularly curious to see the Infrareds’ grey sections in an uncharacteristic black shade.  Check out more shots after the jump and let us know how this stacks up against the same artist’s Pigeon AM90s.

Nike SB Zoom P Rod IV (4) Fall 2010 Collection

Nike commercials have historically been, well, the best. Jordan’s career-highlight montage when he retired in ’98, those spine-tingling Nike Pro Combat mini-films with Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, the side-splitting Lil’ Penny joints, or the Nike Basketball Freestyle ‘mixtapes’ are just some examples of Nike’s dominance in advertising. Nike SB has moved into the mainstream, resulting in some hip commercials, like the one we showed you earlier today; with NYC-bred Nas narrating the scenes, P-Rod is seen skating through Park Ave. and under the BQE wearing the Nike SB P-Rod IV that is launching as we speak. Here’s a look at the Fall 2010 Collection, featuring three lows and two highs in simple colorways, all of which consisting of a breathable mesh tongue, Zoom Air cushioning, a dual-density sidewall, a skate-specific toe piece, and improved traction grooves. Take a look at the Nike SB P-Rod IV Fall 2010 Collection after the jump and chime in with your thoughts on Rodriguez’s fourth signature shoe. Everything you see here will be hitting retail in August and September, but if you really can’t wait, get the black/white P-Rod 4 Low now on eBay.

adidas Originals by Originals x Jeremy Scott Penguin

Jeremy Scott continues to carve out a very distinct niche within the lifestyle footwear market, this time co-opting a dress shoe theme quite differently than we’ve seen before.  These aren’t your typical black patent leather and corded laces design here, with J.Scott going so far as to give the ankle a pinpoint collar to compliment a bowtie and ‘buttons’ in place of laces.  Yet another crazy design from Mr. Scott, these adidas Originals Penguins are available from LuisaViaRoma.

Nas x Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 4 Commercial

Paul Rodriguez’ signature line with Nike SB has been so successful, the P-Rod line is practically it’s own stantalone footwear, apparel and accessories branch.  With the new Nike SB Zoom Paul Rodriguez 4, the design is getting back to basics, offering a subtle design with practical advantages.  In the full video of the spot that awaits your click on the jump below, you’ll see P-Rod himself skating in the IVs while hip-hop cornerstone Nas speaks a few choice words.  Check it out and stick with Sneaker News for the latest in Nike SB news.

Air Jordan III (3) Andrew Jones PE Turf Trainer

During his heydey, Andruw Jones was considered one of the league’s elite, sporting one of the greatest outfield gloves of all-time with a potent bat to match. After experiencing an early peak, Jones is now enjoying the tail end of his career as a substitute for teams looking for a defensive upgrade and power off the bench. Jones was also a Jordan Brand athlete, as he’s sported baseball-ready Air Jordans over the years, like this Air Jordan III (3) PE in the form of a turf trainer. The bottom sole traction featured the spiky teeth that you might remember seeing on Barry Sanders’ Zoom Turf Trainer but was seen more recently on a pair of Air Jordan Force Fusion Turf Trainer PEs for C.C. Sabathia that Sneaker News showed you a few months ago. This colorway featured a mix of blue, grey, white, and red, which could point to his forgettable days as an LA Dodger or his short stint as a Texas Ranger. Take a look at the gallery of images after the jump and pick up this collectible pair from kh00712 on eBay.
