Star Wars x adidas Originals Top Ten Lo C3PO x R2D2

Collaborations typically pair the creatively inclined with a famous sneaker silhouette, and we’ve even seen triple and quadruple teamups, but the latest Star Wars x adidas Originals release is unlike any other we’ve seen.  The Star Wars x adidas Top Ten Lo pictured above is literally split evenly between C3PO and R2D2, with R2 taking the medial sides and his white and blue buddy covering the lateral side of things.  It’s a pretty interesting look and is sure to draw some comparisons to the ‘Scarface’ Nike Air Force 1 from 2006.  But the Star Wars affiliation makes for a better packaging upgrade than Tony Montana’s film, so click the jump below to get a sense of what the C3PO x R2D2 Top Tens are all about and you can pick up a pair from Schuh-You.

fragment design x Nike Air Zoom All Court Premium

The phrase ‘Nike Tennis’ is likely to conjure images of Andre Aggasi and his Air Tech Challenge series, or perhaps the modern greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.  But don’t forget about where it all started, lest you sleep on classic models like the Nike All Court Low. Originally released in 1975, the All Court has seen several premium releases in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design, and they’re back again with another Zoom Air-equipped tag team effort.  Each of these three pairs is a different texture of white leather, with just the heel adding a touch of color.  Choose from grey/blue, blue/pink or black/purple when they hit retailers soon, and you can see all three in detailed images by clicking the jump below.

Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Black | New Images

Just over a week ago Sneaker News showed you the second colorway to release of the Foamposite x Nike Air Force 1, and many were happy with the result. Check out these new images of the Foamposite x Nike Air Force 1 in the all-black colorway – a shoe that confirms that you can never have too much black; the matte finish on the Foamposite material matches well with both the nubuck lace placket as well as the ankle strap, and the MX midsole provides the glossy shine for an interesting contrast. The Silver Foamposite Air Force 1 was an instant sell-out and we’re more than certain this all-black pair will follow suit, so stick with Sneaker News for release information on this upcoming hit and let us know what other colorways you’d like to see on the Foamposite Air Force 1. via MS.

Air Jordan 1 Anodized Holiday 2010 Collection

If Foamposite was going to make its way to the Air Jordan Legacy, it’s only fitting that it starts from the ground up. Recently Sneaker News showed you two upcoming colorways of the Foam-armored Air Jordan 1 Retro (now called ‘Anodized’) in a metallic silver colorway as well as a “cranberry” varsity red. Here’s a look at the other color-combos that you can expect this upcoming Holiday season: In addition to the two aforementioned colorways, an all-black colorway as well as Penny Foamposite inspired Royal/Black will hit us this season. All of these colorways are seemingly inspired by previous Foamposite One/Pro releases, with the exception of an aqua blue colorway that is similar to the Marine Blue AJ1 that dropped earlier this year. Continue reading for another look at the Air Jordan 1 Armor Holiday 2010 Collection and let us know which pair has you intrigued.

Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 Royal + Red | September 2010

If you’re a hardcore purist, the mere mention of an Air Jordan x Nike Air Max runner hybrid would be enough to end a friendship.  But with just the tiniest opening in your mind, you can start to see how well put together the Air Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11s really are.  What’s most impressive here is how the natural lines of the Air Max 1′s mudguard flow into the forefoot where they turn into the Air Jordan XI.  And with the AJXI eyelets and AM1 sole, these are a perfect melding of two shoes that you typically wouldn’t consider together (unless you were making an ‘all time greats’ list).  Check out more shots of the CMFT Viz Air 11 and get ready for these to hit retailers next Saturday, September 4th.  via JB

Celebrity Feet: Wale Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Pewter

Wale might be the most prolific sneakerhead recording artist, in the sense that he’s been seen rocking more heat than the walls at Flight Club.  DMV’s finest was among the first to show up with the Copper Nike Air Foamposite One, and is repeating the early-grab madness with the next metallic Foams.  One thing that’s immediately obvious from the photos of Wale in the Metallic Pewter Air Foamposite One is that, with all the grey/black clothing and gear that’s hot right now, we can’t wait for the Pewter Foams to hit retailers.  Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet, and updates on the Metallic Pewter Foamposites.  via NT

Jordan Brand September 2010 Releases @ Extra Butter

If Jordan Brand’s September 2010 lineup was a kid in your senior class, he’d be one of the front runners for ‘Best Dressed’.  JB has a solid slate of sneaker offerings for your back to school needs, and it all starts by taking you back to the old school with the ‘Charcoal’ Air Jordan IX Retro.  A sixteen year old sneaker at this point, the AJIX can’t hold a candle to the Sky High in terms of seniority.  The Sky High is available in two classic Jordan colorways and perfectly bridges the gap between your lifestyle and higher-tech kicks.  New pairs of the Jordan V.2 Grown and L’Style Advanced are also available in men’s sizes, while the ladies get a couple of pinked-and-shrinked pairs of Flight 45 Highs and AJ1 Retro Highs.  It’s a big drop so click the jump below for images of each model and grab yours from select JB retailers like Extra Butter.

Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) Wolf Grey Black Daring Red

SNEAKERNEWS.COM EXCLUSIVE

In late May Sneaker News gave you a look at three Holiday 2010 colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Although most of the buzz around Kobe’s sneakers has been focused on the Kobe VI, keep in mind that we still have months to go until a release and that the Kobe V is still front and center. Here’s a look at one of those Holiday 2010 colorways – a Wolf Grey, Black, and Daring Red colorway; the upper features a mix of grey and black while the midsole features a black-on-red speckling. The overall colorway is very similar to the unreleased Kobe V MLK Jr. colorway that the Lakers wore on January 18th, but that pair featured some hints of green. The Wolf Grey Kobe V is set for a Holiday 2010 release (barring a complete scrap) so check out the new images of this upcoming colorway and let us know what you think. Thanks to fatboykickz.

Air Jordan Melo M7 White University Blue

We’ve only seen two sets of pictures so far to prove its existence, but another NBA season means another Carmelo Anthony signature from Jordan Brand.  The Air Jordan Melo M7 is the latest in what has become JB’s longest running non-Air Jordan annual release, and this colorway will be right at home with Melo on Denver.  Expect to see this white, University Blue and Taxi on the floor at the Pepsi Center, assuming Anthony hasn’t forced a trade by the time the season starts.  Click the jump below and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on the Melo M7 release date cos Ultimate Collection in Japan is already pre-selling this Holiday 2010 release.

Nike SB Dunk Mid Ryu Street Fighter Pack

The man that made a short Japanese phrase into an American pop-culture term has made his way onto the Nike SB Dunk Mid. The Nike SB Dunk Mid ‘Ryu’ uses a colorway similar to his ‘ki’, featuring frayed edges, a swoosh and bottom sole in red (to match his headband), and a black rear panel that matches his belt. Alongside the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Chun Li’, these SB Dunks comprise the Nike SB Dunk Street Fighter Pack, but it sure would be nice to see more of our favorite fighters take shape of a sneaker. Maybe Sagat would be a Dunk High? Or perhaps a pony-hair upper for Blanka? Take a look at these new images and pick up a pair now from ID4shoes on eBay.
