In its third go-around, the Nike/Jordan Brand Future Sole design competition saw more entries than ever this year. Over 10k more designs were entered than last year when Austin Jermacans’ Air Jordan Melo M6 Future Sole won the day, so you know there were plenty of interesting ideas to go around. Here’s a closer look at the winning Jordan Brand sneaker designs from Chris Dixon and Allen Largin, with Dixon’s ‘Phase 23’ mockups drawing parallels between basketball and track and field, while Largin’s take on the Melo M7 was inspired by the breathtaking aesthetics and performance of Indy cars.
