Jordan Brand Boost Pack on EA Sports NBA Elite 11

The sports-simulation video game market has proven to be a cutthroat business – companies paying millions for exclusivity rights, console platforms pushing for exclusives, and so on. The NBA Live vs. NBA 2K rivalry still remains after a decade – and with Michael Jordan gracing the cover the latest NBA 2K title, 2K11 appeared to have an edge once again, purely based on awesomeness factor. EA Sports is “countering” by introducing the Jordan Brand ‘Boost Pack’, which features an exclusive collection of in-game Jordan Brand apparel and sneakers like the Air Jordan XI – and is available only by pre-ordering NBA Elite ’11 (formerly NBA Live) at GameStop.

Another Jordan-related feature to Elite ’11 is the ‘Be Legendary – Be a Pro’ mode which allows you to create your own player and rise him through the 23 ‘Legend’ levels. Elite ’11 will have Kevin Durant – arguably the most ‘liked’ star in the NBA – on the cover and will also include three modes of “Boom-shakalakalaka”-inducing NBA Jam. So is the Jordan Brand ‘Boost Pack’ enough to get you on the EA side? Check out the Jordan “Become Legendary” video after the jump and let us know what you think.

Not interested. The shoes that are coming out for 2011 are the ones on my mind right now! (SNEAKERHEADS: start to $ave that paper A.$.A.P.!!!!!!!!!!)

  2. @Rell826 Says:

That is not going to help EA move units of this game. After the videos they recently debuted over at Operation Sports, its safe to say that this year was a waste. EA has to come strong with '12 or its a wrap.

  3. ryanfors Says:

    2K still kicks "Elites" ass

  4. Malikhain Says:

a game with MJ vs a game with MJ's shoes?

i'd take the game with MJ. 2K > NBA Elite

  5. Seany Says:

NBA ELITE will kick 2Ks ass… thank you very much. I'm tired of playing no good suckers that quit out, mess with the pause menu system, or constantly use full court defense to steal the inbound pass. COME ON KIDS! THIS IS ACTUAL BASKETBALL NOW!

  6. kareezy Says:

Both games have the shoes one game has both Mj and his shoes so 2k is already the winner

  7. horhay Says:

  14. Man757 Says:

this game looks so suspect, the graphic and game play stand no chance with 2k ever. And they really through there self under the bus with the NBA Jams, C'mon son is that your best shot?
