For you sneakerheads with upcoming birthdays, step your cake game up! A trip down to your local ice-cream parlor for a vanilla and chocolate ice-cream cake ain’t gonna cut it because the new “thing” is sneaker cakes. We’ve shown you delicious pastries in the form of a SB Dunk Tiffany, Air Yeezy, and Air Griffey Max 1; now check out yet another cake taken after the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’. Again, the detail in this cake is quite astounding, from the traction grooves on the outsole to the lace-harness, to the thick shoelaces itself. This particular cake sits on top or a Jordan box cake as well as a receipt. Take another look at birthday boy Eli’s cake after the jump and let us know what you think!

not bragging, was requested by my boyfriend because it's his favorite sneaker. i just gave it a shot with such little time i know this could have been a lot better if i had more time. throwing a party and doing fondant cake all in 1 day is not easy buddy…..but i'm happy he was happy and thats all that mattered. but thanx for being a critic cuz it will only help me in the future….
P.S. this wasn't meant to be on the internet and is not for a client thats why it is how it is…..

Hey Christine, I applaud your execution on such a well thought out idea for your boyfriends party and cake design. This cake looks pretty good to me and not to mention 6 hours, very good indeed, and it probably tasted delicious! You definitely have a customer and a fan here.

Ignore Jody. You did a great job!
September 29th, 2010 at 1:00 pm
Are you people kidding me??? That cake is freakin' awesome. I guess some people would rather settle for Carvel. lol
September 29th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
the cake was ok,not excellent. should not be over confident about yourself but be content of what you have made. you're still learning, it doesnt matter how the long a cake is made as long as it's made quality but at the same time dont brag about it and act like you didnt know. you have your time so wait for it dont rush, this is what happens when you rush things up.
