Converse’s staple designs like the Jack Purcell and Chuck Taylor All Star are so strong that they kept the company afloat through its bankruptcy filing earlier this century. The One Star bounced back and better than ever, now a branch on the Nike, Inc. tree, and releases more and better Chucks and Jacks than ever before. Still, it’s great to see some new models on the way with that same classic feel, a niche filled admirably by the new Converse OS Academy Hi. These white leather hightops feature red stripes on either side of blue One Stars for a look that’s as all-American as their brand heritage.
