Air Jordan Hallowed Ground Low Black University Blue | November 2010

The past few years have seen several ‘point-five’ models from Jordan Brand that show you just how closely related some of the Air Jordan Legacy models really are.  From the Air Jordan 2.5 to the 16.5 Team, these kicks combine the strongest points of each shoe into one period piece.  And such is the case with the AJ 10.5 aka Air Jordan Hallowed Ground.  The Hallowed Ground demonstrates how the Air Jordan X’s elegant design gave way to the legendary AJXI, whose signature patent leather runs the the length of the shoe.  This first Hallowed Ground Low pictured above comes in a UNC-away black/University Blue colorup and is slated for a November 2010 release.  Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the Jordan Brand Holiday 2010 collection.  via Taobao

Nike Lunar Elite Trail Mid QS + Air Moc Climbers Pack

Last week Sneaker News gave you a look at the Nike Footscape Motion from the Nike ACG ‘Climbers Pack’ which just so happens to include this colorway of the Nike Lunar Elite Trail Mid QS that we gave you a sneak peek at before as well as the classic Nike Air Moc. All three pairs of the Nike ACG Climbers Pack share a colorway of grey, anthracite, royal blue, and hot red, with the Lunar Elite Trail Mid featuring a special lace-lockdown on the tongue. The Air Moc features a ripstop nylon upper with a brown leather heel tab. The Nike ACG Climbers Pack is set to release this Saturday at select Nike retailers so take a look after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorways. via glltn.

Play Doh Sneaker Design Challenge

Nike’s Future Sole design competition has given sneakerheads and aspiring designers the opportunity to become a part of footwear history by designing new kicks that very much have the chance to hit retail.  Another footwear design comp, albeit with different results in mind, the Plah-Doh 1 Hour Deign Challenge by online design mag Core77 is a whimsical take on sneaker manufacturing.  While the models themselves must be crafted in your favorite clay-like substance, entrants are free to tool them with anything you might have on hand.  Entries will be judged by Sneaker Freaker editor/founder Woody among others, and the winner gets a $100 gift card and a lifetime subscription to SNKRFRKR!  There’s just under three days left to get your entry submitted, so check out some of the standouts in images after the jump and head over to the Core77 forums to post yours today.

Gourmet The 22 Black White | Fall 2010

You can still see shades of the Air Jordan VII and Nike Basketball’s Huarache series in their Uno hightops, and there’s no denying the Nike Blazer similarities in the new Gourmet 22.  The 22 is a mid/high cut sneaker with that quintessentially 1970s on-court styling that rides the ever-fashionable vulcanized sole.  These joints are most similar to the old ‘fat belly’ Swooshed Blazers, with the fabric band that wraps the length of these joints around the sole, adding to the high-contrast white/black look.  Check out more shots of what you might call a ‘Panda’ 22 and look for these now at select Gourmet stockists.  via EUKicks

Nike Snow Trekker High Fall 2010 Colorways

Wale’s gotta be happy, cos the range of available Nike Boots is wider and better now than ever before.  From the Goa- and Foamdomes to a wide array of ACG models both old and new, the Swoosh has you covered for all your rugged outdoor needs this fall/winter.  The newest release is a straightforward design that makes its intentions known through its name: the Nike Snow Trekker High.  These Snow Trekkers are among the most aggressive Nike Boots thus far, offering a blizzard-ready sole with an upper that looks more or less what you might expect from performance hiking footwear.  Three simple colorways are on tap, with a white pair featuring black accents and another going vice-versa, so the Baltoro-like black joints with pink and purple hits are the standout.  check out shots of all three after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date.  via Step

Air Jordan Take Flight White Varsity Red Black | Available on eBay

The Air Jordan Take Flight is Jordan Brand’s first ever shoe with a 360-Air Unit and will arrive in the coming months in a number of colorways. The first of such releases is a classic Chicago Bulls White/Varsity Red-Black, which features a white leather upper, a black patent leather mudguard, and an all new 360-Air Unit with a special caging for further protection. The bottom sole features added traction and the upper construction allow for optimal fit – a clear sign the Jordan Brand emphasizes performance as much as it does design. Check out these new images of the Air Jordan Take Flight and grab a pair early from ID4shoes on eBay.

Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Black | Available Early on eBay

The Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite officially released earlier this year in Metallic Silver and the second colorway was confirmed to be an all-black colorway. Which of the two colorways was better? Sneaker News readers were split down the middle and with the Metallic Silver colorway selling out pretty fast, warranting a number of restocks – but only time will tell once the Black Foamposite Air Force 1 releases for retail around December 1st. If you’re the impatient type (what sneakerhead isn’t) and can’t wait the extra months, you can guarantee yourself a pair right now by snagging one of the fast-moving pairs from chrome-knight on eBay.

Collections: For All To Envy Vintage Sportswear

As we put ourselves through housecleanings and garage sales, it gets increasingly tougher to throw away certain items because of the sentimental value it holds. Whether it’s a tattered Bulls jersey from the early 90′s or a pair of Nikes that are nearly disintegrated, we can understand if you can’t undo your grasp of these irreplaceable and priceless vintage childhood artifacts. Well, not quite irreplaceable; perhaps one of the most thorough vintage sportswear collections we’ve seen yet, here’s a look at For All To Envy’s collection of old-school jerseys, warm-ups, sneakers, and other ‘brings-me-back’ pieces of history accompanied with a collection of some rare images – Jordan and Magic sharing a laugh during the ’92 Olympics or Jay-Z in his younger days rocking some Bred IVs. Equally impressive is the collection of vintage heat, like the Nike Air Command Force, Air Pressure, Air Max2 Light, and many more. Take a look a nice sample of F.A.T.E.’s collection and pop-up shop at LA’s And Still and head to SneakerFreaker for the entire features.

Celebrity Feet: Drake Air Jordan IX Retro Black Dark Charcoal

Drake is certainly one of the more recognized ‘sneakerheads’ of the hip-hop circuit, but most of his WDYWT selections have been recently released Retros. Perhaps he just started building his collection or prefers to keep his grails on ice, but regardless of his sneakerhead status, Drake’s been showing up with clean kicks no matter what. Drake made an appearance during the Jay-Z/Eminem concert at Yankee Stadium last week wearing the Air Jordan IX Dark Charcoal, and once again, during a performance at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, the Canadian-bred pop artist chose the Dark Charcoal IX once again to match his all-black ensemble. Check out the gallery of images after the jump and let us know what you think of his latest sneaker selection.

LIVESTRONG x Nike Air Max 2010

Surely one of the more memorable Nike capsules of this decade is Nike’s partnership with Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG campaign; the trademark yellow colorway has been paired with black and grey tones countless times but on every occasion it doesn’t seem to get old. Here’s a look at the LIVESTRONG x Nike Air Max 2010, featuring varsity maize paired with dark grey and black, with the Livestrong label on the tongue. Slightly different from last year’s LIVESTRONG x Nike Air Max 2009 in that the upper is predominately grey but still a must-have for supporters of Livestrong or fans of the Air Max 2010. These just released at Finishline so take a detailed look after the jump.
