With two colorways on tap for the Holiday 2010 season, the Air Jordan Force Fusion X stands as Jordan Brand’s Q4 ’10′s AJF offering. Perhaps the more eagerly anticipated colorway is the ‘Steel’ pair pictured above, a faithful reproduction of 1994′s original. These joints’ colorblocking is spot-on, but the feature sure to draw praise from purists is the inclusion of the Steel AJX’s checkerboard sockliner. The Ten’s signature striped outsole is also worked into the traditional AF1 traction pattern to maximize the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ cache, and they’ll be available at select JB retailers including Foot Locker in just a couple of weeks: Saturday, October 9th.

It’s clear that the Nike Griffey Line is getting the Nike Penny treatment; every shoe, multiple colorways…hybrid shoe? A Griffey hybrid made up of multiple sig models seems probable but here’s a look at a hybrid that uses the Air Griffey Max 1; the Nike Air Max JR, debuting in Summer 2011, features the Air Griffey Max 1 silhouette but features lightweight Torch material on the upper and 360 Max Air running unit (not a basketball-specific unit). Quite strange for a mid-cut shoe to feature the running-specific Max Air cushioning unit – would you go running in a mid-cut shoe? Three colorways we can surely expect is black/red, white/chlorine blue-grey, and one with a Volt Air unit with grey trim and a blue/grey mudguard. Gone is the ankle-strap from the Air Griffey Max 1 as well. So what’s the verdict? Take a look at the three colorways after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more info regarding this upcoming shoe, and let us know what you think of the Griffey-hybrid design. via deftronic.

Carmelo Anthony was a member of the 2008 ‘Redeem Team’, a name given to the Olympic Squad after Team USA came home with a disappointing Bronze medal in the 2004 Olympic Games. It was particularly sweet for Carmelo to win on the biggest stage of International sports as he was part of that ’04 Team – and during Team USA’a Gold Medal run in 2008, a special Player Exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan V was made for Anthony, who is a Jordan Brand representative. The colorway features a simple white, midnight navy, and metallic silver with the Team USA logo on the insole, an American flag on the inner tongue, and ’8/8/08′ – the date that marked the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympics – instead of the usual ‘Air Jordan’ seen of the Jordan V. Just 24 pairs of this promo sample are believed to be produced so this deadstock pair is truly a collectors item for those who call themselves Jordan-collector aficionados. Continue reading for a gallery of images of this rare Air Jordan V PE for Carmelo and check out the auction from jlalo37 on eBay.

Not long ago, Sneaker News gave you a look at the Black/Varsity Royal pair of the Nike Air Griffey Max GD II and many of our readers were happy with the colorway. The GD II didn’t exactly meet the sales figures of the Air Griffey Max 1 but these new tonal-black uppered colorways should give these a boost. Take a look this new colorway of the Air Griffey Max GD II in Black and Electric Green; very Dunkman-esque, but perhaps an all-new nickname could be made for Griffey – perhaps a ‘Swingman’ colorway. As mentioned before, this upcoming pair features a tonal black upper with an electric green Air Unit and bottom sole. Without a doubt one of the better colorways of the GD II (as stated by our readers when we first caught a glimpse of a sample pair of the ‘Dunkman’ Griffey II), so take a look at the images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info.

Lance Armstrong stated before the race even began that the 2010 Tour de France would be his last, and while his cycling career may be over, Mellow Johnny will continue to ride for an even bigger goal. A new sneaker whose proceeds will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer research, the LIVESTRONG x Nike Blazer Low ’09 for women is among the best LAF releases we’ve seen all year. They’re like many of the recent drops in that these don’t feature the classic black/yellow LIVESTRONG palette, but adding select yellow hits to a grey and white base makes for a versatile look you can wear with plenty of different fits. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair today from NikeStore.

In mid-August Sneaker News showed you a Foot Locker EU exclusive colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 in a white, grey, black, purple, neon green, and hot red colorway. The partnership between Nike and Foot Locker also featured three notable football (soccer for you Americans) stars and one the coolest sneaker-related vids you’ll ever see. Here’s another look at this Euro-exclusive Foot Locker x Nike Air Max 90 with snapshots taken on a number of scenic backdrops; the colorway seems to mesh and become one with the vibrant colors of the landscape and buildings in ever shot. Continue reading for a nice gallery of images and while there has been no information regarding a U.S. release, stick with Sneaker News for potential release info. via suelasdegoma.

The Pearl Foams just released, but coming soon is a Retro of the Royal Foamposite, as well as the introduction of the Metallic Pewter Foamposite One and Electric Green Foamposite Pro. Falling before, after, or in-between those releases could be this new colorway of the Air Foamposite Pro in Chocolate Brown and White. This colorway resembling a sample version from a few years back was spotted at ‘Sneak and Eat 2010′ in Chicago this past Sunday, and while there’s no word on a release, this new colorway is certainly an interesting development at the very least. Brown has never been used on a Foamposite Pro or One, but has made its way on another Foamposite basketball sneaker, the Nike Air Total Foamposite Max, but that variety came adored with a gum upper and sole for a more workboot look. Chocolate Brown is the primary color of the upper with a lighter mocha shade taking the lace placket and ankle collar, with a white swoosh and bottom sole. Take another look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more information on a possible drop. Let us know if you’d consider copping the Chocolate Foamposites if they release. via modernnotoriety.

In two separate retrospectives covering his All Star Game kicks and signature sneaker hiatus, Sneaker News has shown you Kobe Bryant in the ‘True Blue’ Air Jordan III. Kobe wore those in the 2003 ASG, accepting the torch from Michael Jordan in what would be His Airness’ last season. And throughout the remainder of that season, Kobe continued to rock Air Jordan PEs, not the least of which is this ‘other’ AJIII in Lakers home colors. Its colorblocking most similar to the Fire Red Threes, these Kobe PEs offer select purple and gold accents atop a mostly white base. Check out more shots of this unique pair after the jump and let us know if you’d purchase these were a similar color to hit retail. via Kenlu

When you combine nylon with the Nike Vandal, you’d probably expect something with a vintage flavor – but with these new Quickstrikes, you can’t help but feel a modern vibe. Here’s a look at a black and metallic summit white colorway of the Nike Vandal High Supreme with a nylon upper and a tonal white midsole; these give off the euro-styled street-boot look thanks to the simple colorway and should better mesh with clothing of a similar style. The strap itself is very simple – canvas with frayed edges and no branding. Take a look at the extra images after the jump; these should hit select Nike Sportswear accounts soon as they’ve already arrived at Special.

Nike Basketball has offered several collaborations with the WBCA Kay Yow Fund in support of breast cancer research, and now Supra’s jumping on the charitable bandwagon. Designed alongside ladies boutique Elyse Walker, the ‘Pink Party’ Supra Skytop avoids the obvious route by adding hints of vivid pink to the sole, eyelets and peeking through from the sockliner. The rest is grey, so these are about as versatile a design as you could hope for, given the inspiration. They’ll enhance basically every outfit you wear alongside them, but getting a pair might prove difficult. Limited to a scant 30 pair run, and word has yet to hit the streets as to whether they’ll be auctioned, given away or somehow otherwise disseminated. Stick with Sneaker News for updates on the latest Supra releases.

If you don’t want fall to come along and darken your evenings, take a look at this new Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low. These new AF1 Lows for ladies are done in the same simple style that made several other pairs hot sellers this summer, and adding lime green accents to the white base makes for a sweet frozen margarita look. A nice alternative to your typical pink-and-shrink, these joints are now available at select Nike Sportswear retailers including FinishLine.

adidas Skateboarding has already made the Superstar silhouette into Pete Eldridge’s pro model, and while it’s not technically a skate shoe, this new Three Stripes release isn’t too far off, both in name and design. The adidas Originals Pro Model takes the familiar shelltoe to new heights, with this pair going the ‘all black everything’ route, even darkening the usually-white signature toecap. This pair’s buttery smooth leather gives them a premium look, and you can grab your own pair today at select adidas Originals retailers like the United Kingdom’s JD Sports.
