Reebok Pump Fury Superlite Fall 2010

In a 12 month period that’s included The Pump’s 20th Anniversary and the advent of ZigTech cushioning, Reebok is enjoying quite the resurgence.  Their Insta Pump Fury runner has been a mainstay from the late ’90s on, and the updated model is poised to sit alongside the Zig Pulse at the top of retail shelves.  The Reebok Insta Pump Fury Superlite brings together a heavily ventilated upper with a super-flexible sole for a runner that’s something like RBK’s version of the DiamondFLEX-soled Nike Hyperfuse Trainer.  And this Bok’s colorways are every bit as eyecatching as the Hyperfuse series as well, with one pair in all metallic silver and another with a radioactive look courtesy of the OG Insta Pump palette.  Check out shots fo both after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via Styles

Converse (Paint The Town) RED Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

Converse got in touch with four artists for its Converse (Paint The Town) RED Collection for Fall/Winter 2010, and the contrasting styles and methods resulted in four acutely different renditions of the same shoe. Parra, Giovanni Estevez, Aaron Martin, and Cody Hudson each had their hand in a pair of the Converse Chuck Taylor for the (Paint The Town) RED collection; Parra’s featured a beige suede upper with the cherries while Estevez got in touch with his hometown roots with a tonal-black stitched NYC skyline on the upper. Cody Hudson’s take on the (Paint The Town) RED theme was a lux brown leather upper with a navy blue toecap, and here we get a look at Aaron Martin’s pair which features cartoonized pandas on a black upper. Take a look at the entire Converse (Paint The Town) RED Collection after the jump and head to Hypebeast for a feature interview with Giovanni Estevez.

Air Jordan 6 17 23 Black Carmine White | February 2011

SNEAKERNEWS.COM EXCLUSIVE

News of the Air Jordan VI/XVII Collezione Package was music to the ears as it gave Jordan-heads the opportunity to own a pair of the Air Jordan VI Carmine (a suede version of the Jordan XVII didn’t hurt either). We’d like to announce that the Carmine VI and the suede XVII is coming back together, but not in a way you might’ve expected. Here’s a Sneaker News Exclusive look at the Air Jordan 6-17-23 in Black, Carmine, and White; it features both pairs from the VI/XVII Collezione Package cross-hybridized into one shoe, with each Jordan model expressing co-dominance on the design of the shoe. Carmine red can be seen on the upper panels with black suede laid above as well as on the toe, with a white panel on the heel.

The silhouette of the shoe certainly takes after the Air Jordan VI parent but the XVII can bee seen on the midsole, which features the same midfoot plate, as well as on the upper vents and Jazz-inspired graphic on the tongue, which also features the corduroy-like ribbed fabric. A look at the bottom sole and you’ll see hints from both the Air Jordan VI given by the dotted translucent outsole and the Air Jordan XVII based on the golf-course inspired traction. Jordan Brand’s newest hybrid endeavor involves combining two Legacy models with number designations summing up to 23, and at this point the 6-17-23 looks to be the first of such releases – with the Carmine colorway arriving in February 2011. Continue reading for a gallery of images of the Air Jordan 6-17-23 and let us know what you think of the design. Many thanks to fatboykickz.

Celebrity Feet: Amber Rose Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII Playoffs

Kanye West’s former partner Amber Rose was spotted sitting at the front row of the House of Holland Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show during London’s Fashion Week over the weekend. Once an exotic dance, the now Ford model has been a notable name in fashion circles, but this recent choice of apparel should be especially pleasing to Sneaker News readers. Amber gave up her regular high heels for a pair of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII Playoff that released earlier this year. Rose matched her Jordan’s with a pair of Red House of Holland Linda Farrow sunglasses and a House of Holland bandanna jumpsuit. What do you think of Rose’s outfit and kicks? Definitely a notable Sneaker Moment for Amber Rose or a fashion faux-pas, even at sneaker-head standards? Let us know after the jump.

Air Jordan XI (11) Potential 2011 Retro Releases

Sneaker News already gave you an in-depth breakdown of the 2011 Jordan Brand releases, but it looks like the heat-wave is going to be a lot hotter than we anticipated. Another rumored release making some noise is the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ and Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’, with a possibility of both releasing together as a package. Both the Concords and Columbias have not seen the light of day since 2000 and 2001 respectively, although we did get a Concord-like release with the Air Jordan XI DMP of 2006 and the Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary from earlier this year.

According to the same source, it looks like we may see the release of the Air Jordan VI Olympic (2000 version), as well as an Air Jordan V Premio from the BIN23 Collection and a brand new Jordan box, while the possible Jordan V Grape/Laney Package mentioned earlier by Sneaker News is looking to be more of a reality. All of the mentioned information is subject to change, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more developments regarding all Jordan Brand news, and let us know what you think of a possible Air Jordan XI Concord/Columbia Package release. via thebeast23 on NT.

Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid Kobe + LeBron

The Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid has been PE central, as we’ve received a ton of player-specific colorways over the last few months. The Legends Pack paid tribute to five baseball greats while the EA Sports collaborations featured two NFL quarterbacks who have both succeeded at the highest levels in their respective careers thus far. Now that NBA season is around the corner, here’s a look at the Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid in two new colorways – one presumably taken after Kobe Bryant aka the Black Mamba while the second takes after LeBron James, albeit in the colors of his former team. Kobe’s pair features the quintessential Lakers colorway with snake-skin on the outrigger and forefoot strap, while LeBron’s (that affiliation could be loose) features white, navy, red, and gold, which could mean the colorway is actually an Olympic colorway. Take a look at both colorways after the jump as these will hit Nike retailers like Eastbay soon.

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) Black White Sport Red | New Images

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a first look at the Nike Air LeBron VIII China Edition that featured a special tongue-tag of a dragon’s face taken from traditional Chinese culture. Let’s turn our attention back to the Lion as we get yet another look at the Black/White-Sport Red colorway of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII, set to release sometime in October. Like every other installment in the Nike LeBron line, the first U.S. released colorway has been the black/red/white variety and with many other colorways and School PEs surely on the way, can we expect other special tongue-tags? Perhaps a special one for Zippy the Kangaroo for Akron? Take another look at the new images of this upcoming LeBron VIII and stick with Sneaker News for all LeBron info. via ULT.

adidas TS Heat Check Halloween

What are you going to dress up for Halloween? We have an idea about what Dwight Howard will wear. The Orlando Magic center and adidas representative might dress up as Superman as he’s done so in the past, but on game-day, he’ll wear his regular blue, black, and white Orlando uniforms. Perhaps he – and fellow adidas guys like Derrick Rose, Wesley Johnson, and Derrick Favors – will wear the adidas TS Heat Check Halloween edition, which features a black, orange, and green upper with a Jack-o-lantern graphic on the heel and ‘Boo!’ printed on the badge on the outer heel of the shoe. The upper is black while the midsole is bright orange, and the mesh portion of the upper features an orange-white-black gradient, with green on the lacelock as well as on the traction pods on the bottom sole. A detailed gallery awaits so take an extra look and pre-order yours now on EastBay.

Secret Base x atmos x New Balance 996 | November 2010

The latest triple-tag-team effort between New Balance and Japanese sneaker specialists atmos is this design courtesy of the Secret Base toy shop.  For their New Balance 996 runner, Secret Base used a tiger drawn by Texas-based tattoo artist Christ Trevino as the inspiration.  As is the case with several NB collabs of late, the tiger in full makes the insoles perhaps the most impressive part of the design, leaving the upper to more subtly incorporate this theme with the use of tonal black stripes on the toebox and heel counter.  Select gold accents finish these off nicely, so check out more shots after the jump and get to work on your overseas connects cos these are a Japan-exclusive.  via Shoes-Up
