Nike Air Force 1 Low Linen Cake

Yesterday Sneaker News showed you a Tiffany SB Dunk sneaker cake made by the talented Komaki that some called the ‘BEST cake featured on Sneaker News’. The attention to detail and texture made that sweet structure the cream of the crop, but here’s a look at another sneaker cake – inspired by the Air Force 1 Low ‘Linen’ – that deserves some attention as well. The baker behind this latest pastry put an emphasis on the smooth leather of the Linen Air Force 1 by creating an outer layer that perfectly emulates the appearance, but the meticulous detail on the perforations on the toe as well as the fibers in the shoelaces says this cake was no easy task. It might be tough to slice into one of these divine sculptures but the birthday boy decided to go head first by taking a bite out of the ankle-collar of the shoe/cake. Continue reading for another look at the Air Force 1 Low ‘Linen’ cake after the jump and tell us if this is the best cake thus far. Thanks to Scrams for the exclusive photos for Sneaker News.

Nike Dunk Low CL Deep Garnet Anthracite

There was a time when suede-uppered GR dunks were considered gems and demanded a pretty hefty resale price. Caves, Ceramics, Puttys, nicknames galore, suede Dunk Lows were tough to find back then. Here’s a look at a new colorway of the Nike Dunk Low in Deep Garnet and Anthracite, featuring suede uppers and a canvas-fabric on the center panel. The upper is features a tonal red with the exception of said center panel, which is colored in anthracite grey. The midsole is a Home Raygun-esque black with a white bottom sole. Can the Dunk regain its prominence from years ago? You can never say no to a clean pair of dunks so check out the detailed shoes after the jump and expect these to hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon. via Dunk.

Nike Air Max Fly By Summer 2011

It was only a matter of time before Air Max was paired with Fuse on a basketball shoe, and here it is – the Nike Air Max Fly By, due for a landing this Summer 2011 season. Fuse and Max Air are two opposing schools of thought – one lets air move in and out freely while the other entraps it and harnesses it into a uber-comfy cushioning system. Still, both technologies manage to achieve equilibrium in the Air Max Fly By, which features an upper design similar to the Nike Hyperfuse but with an added Max Air heel unit and an ankle strap for lock-down stabililty. These three new colorways of grey/orange, grey/blue, and black/varsity purple are just some of the expected colorways to drop next Summer, so take a look after the jump and let us know what you think of the design. via hoopchina.

Celebrity Feet: Tony Parker Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke

Tony Parker and his wife, Eva Longoria, were spotted out and about the other day. The celebrity couple tried to keep a low profile but were still photographed by the paparazzi. Parker had on a Blue Alexander McQueen t-shirt to match his Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke sneakers that he created at New York’s 21 Mercer in SoHo. Actual images of Parker’s Bespoke Air Force 1′s have yet to surface onto the net and now that he’s been seen wearing them the chances are even less likely but it looks as if the San Antonio Spurs’ Point Guard used his home country’s color palette to create his custom Air Force 1. Additionally it looks as if Parker was able to screenprint a logo of some sort onto the quarter panel of the upper, perhaps it’s a new TP9 logo that Nike created for him? Let us know what you think after the jump.

Air Jordan XI (11) Retro Cool Grey | More Images

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a concrete release date for the Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’, but for the Cool Grey XI, we gave you a solid release date back in early July. Barring a change of schedule, the Cool Grey XI is set to release on December 23rd, two days before Christmas, and some fear that a repeat of last year’s Space Jam release will occur. Not long ago Sneaker News also gave you a heads up on the packaging for the Cool Grey XI; apparently, the plastic shoe trees – the same used in the Space Jam XI packaging – will be included with the Grey version, so a special slide-out or themed shoe-box could be in the works. In the meantime, take a look at the 2010 Retro version of the Cool Grey after the jump and let us now if you think the Cool Grey release will be as chaotic as the Space Jam XI. via Sneaker Hotline.

Eric Koston Air Jordan Inspired Skate Deck by Girl

Last summer, Eric Koston took his talents to Nike SB (no one-hour special was recorded), a move that instantly give the skate brand with the swoosh a lot more credibility in skater circles. If you recall Sneaker News’ first story on Koston joining Nike SB, you might remember the Koston-ized Nike logos that Nike fashioned as a welcome banner to Eric, but check out this new Jordan-inspired skate-deck from Girl skateboards. It features Koston’s name printed similar to the silver JORDAN logo on a black base, and with a red Jumpman (or Ollie-man, to be more sport-specific) dunking a Girl logo. This Jordan-inspired Koston skate-deck is part of Girl’s Fall 2010 Collection so keep an eye out for these at Girl accounts and let us know what you think of the design.

Nike Air Trainer SC II Returning Summer 2011

OG heads, your moment has come. It’s time to rejoice, because the Nike Air Trainer SC II is returning in the Summer 2011 season. Last year we saw the OG colorways of a number of Air Trainers re-issue and now we can add the Trainer SC II to that list. Nike toyed with our emotions with the release of an auto-claved version of the classic Trainer, but it appears it was just a precursor to the actual retro. You can expect something close to the original colorway to drop alongside a few others, so stick with Sneaker News for more release info regarding this historic Retro, and for the youngsters who aren’t familiar with the shoe, check out the pair of the OGs after the jump.

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse XDR Black Anthracite Varsity Red

Not long ago Sneaker News showed you a sample pair of the Nike Hyperfuse the featured a tonal black upper and a bright Volt midsole. This new colorway of the Hyperfuse features identical color-blocking with Varsity Red take over the midsole. Is it safe to expect more colorways like this? The Hyperfuse will definitely be a popular shoe among NBA guards this upcoming season – we already showed you a quartet of Hyperfuse PEs – so as long as the colors match the team uniform, you should expect to see them on court. The Black/Varsity Red Hyperfuse will drop at Nike Basketball retailers soon so take a look at the detailed shots after the jump and let us know what colorway you’d like to see. via Dunk.

C.J. Miles Cleans Out NYC Sneaker Spots

“Growing up, I was always a sneakerhead.”

C.J. Miles of the Utah Jazz spent a day with Aron of Dime Magazine to chat kicks and hit up sneaker spots to do a little shopping in New York City (while wearing the Air Jordan VII Miro Olympic). Miles hit up Niketown as well as Flight Club on Greene St. and ended up with a total of sixteen pairs, which is tame compared to his 22-pair splurge last year at Flight Club. In the Dime TV video, we get a chance to look at Miles’ latest pick-ups and some of his personal favorites, like the Air Jordan 1 25th Anniversary and the Air Jordan XII ‘Nubuck’, as well as some of the Jays he wore during the regular season – the Air Jordan Six Rings and Rising Sun Jordan XII. Check out the entire video after the jump to check out Miles’ kicks, and let us know if you’ve got similar sneaker tastes with the prep-to-pro star.

Giovanni Estevez x Converse (RED) Chuck Taylor High

If it’s for a good cause, people will lend a hand, but for the (RED) campaign, celebrities and designers have come out of the woodworks. For footwear, many notables have collaborated with (RED) to produce special editions of classic shoes and buyers have been especially willing to shell out the dough because the proceeds were being used for a greater deed. Here’s a look at New York artist Giovanni Estevez’s Converse Chuck Taylor designed for the (RED) collection; it features a tonal black upper with the powerful red on the uppermost eyelet and All-Star tab on the heel, and features Estevez’s interpretation of the NYC skyline stitched on the upper. Take a look at the gallery after the jump and head to Livestock to get your pair.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke @ Nike Harajuku Part 10

One can attribute bright neon colors and over-the-top styling to Japanese footwear flavor, but this latest Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke from Nike Harajuku is as All-American as you can get. Here’s a look at a Bespoke inspired by a pair of jeans; the upper features classic blue denim with yellow contrast stitching and a red swoosh border. The heeltab is a smooth brown leather as is the inner lining, mimicking the rear jean tags, with “W30 W34″ -presumably the designers jeans size – printed on the heel-tab of the right shoe. Many of the Bespokes we’ve seen from Harajuku have been very overwhelming in terms of materials and colors but it is clear that the mind behind this idea had it set in stone before the reservation was even made. Continue reading for another look and let us know what you think of the design.

Nike SB Zoom Bruin Mulder | Summer 2011

Arriving as part of the Nike SB Summer 2011 Collection is a simple white/blue pair of the Nike SB Zoom Bruin, taken after the Richard Mulder x Nike SB Dunk Low from the First Series Nike SB Dunk generation. Mulder’s original design featured a white leather body construction with an Orion Blue swoosh, which can be said for the upcoming Bruin – though the upper appears to be nubuck instead of the original leather material found in Mulder’s SB Dunk. Is this colorway just a coincidence (like the ‘Tiffany’ Janoski? Does Nike SB have plans to release a number of their SB models inspired by colorways from some of the most memorable SBs? ‘Retro-ing’ SB Dunks has been a hot topic of conversation among Nike SB circles so let us know what you think of a possible reincarnation of older SB Dunks in other models. via N-SB.
