What’s new in kicks this week? The last seven days was as jam-packed with the latest Sneaker News, so let’s get started; first up, Sneaker News gave you info on three upcoming Jordan Retro releases as well as the entire Jordan Brand Holiday 2010 Collection. In keeping with the new, Nike introduced another Foamposite shoe perfect for the winter season as well as an all-new colorway of the LeBron VIII. LeBron’s fellow Nike rep Eric Koston is getting his own pro model, and the Nike Air Pressure is returning – in a different form. Sneaker News also gave you a look at Spring 2011 Nike Basketball releases – some of which will be available at The Nike Vault, a new Nike Basketball retail spot located in the Staples Center.
The last week in Sneaker News also included a lot of ‘big names’. Yankee stadium was packed with hip-hop fans and the VMAs was pop-music central as a ton of celebrities like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Swizz Beats, Drake, Eminem, and many more enjoyed the spotlight with some fresh kicks. Sneaker News also had a chance to interview Dwight Howard and Carlos Boozer – in which we asked the NBA stars some pressing sneaker-related questions. In other sporting news, Rafael Nadal closed out the U.S. Open with a win as we got a look at a Tennis-Ball Courtballistec 2.2 shoe, and Team USA brought home a not-so-familiar Gold from the FIBA World Championships. It’s impossible to miss a beat with Sneaker News so stop in check out the week’s Sneaker News Weekly Rewind.

The Nike Air Yeezy is one shoe that will be included in “Top 5 of the Decade” lists across the board. All three colorways of the Yeezy are going up in resale price by the day, so some owners are growing more and more hesitant to wear their crispy pairs, and we can understand – the shoe is tough to find and deadstock pairs swim above $700. But, for those who treat their gems and grails like GR Dunks and wear ‘em without regarding for the surroundings, there’s a way to give your beat Yeezy’s a second life – but with a catch. Here’s a look at a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy in Zen Grey that had been put through a cycle in a washing machine; the shoes itself don’t look very used but the owner might’ve felt a wash was necessary – and the results are pretty good. However, the toe-box lost the all-over embossed Y texture and is now a uniform grey-suede finish. Still need a pair in your life but don’t want to shell out the dough? RIF out in Los Angeles has this exact pair for sale at a reasonable price of $354, so take a look at the gallery after the jump if you’re considering buying them or if you want to see the results.

Officially releasing tomorrow is the Air Jordan 6 Rings 25th Anniversary; boasting a Full-3M upper like the Air Jordan V ‘Green Bean’, this colorway of the 6 Rings wowed the crowd since its first introduction months ago. Paired with the translucent panther-paw outsole, the Full 3M Six Rings appealed even to Jordan Brand fans who consider themselves loyalists to the Legacy. This pair of the 6 Rings is given the 25th Anniversary designation given by the 23/25 logo on the inner tongue label, so perhaps a 25th Anniversary Spiz’ike is on the way? Again, these will officially hit select Jordan Brand retailers like Extra Butter tomorrow, but you can always pick up a pair now on eBay.

Yesterday Sneaker News showed you a Tiffany SB Dunk sneaker cake made by the talented Komaki that some called the ‘BEST cake featured on Sneaker News’. The attention to detail and texture made that sweet structure the cream of the crop, but here’s a look at another sneaker cake – inspired by the Air Force 1 Low ‘Linen’ – that deserves some attention as well. The baker behind this latest pastry put an emphasis on the smooth leather of the Linen Air Force 1 by creating an outer layer that perfectly emulates the appearance, but the meticulous detail on the perforations on the toe as well as the fibers in the shoelaces says this cake was no easy task. It might be tough to slice into one of these divine sculptures but the birthday boy decided to go head first by taking a bite out of the ankle-collar of the shoe/cake. Continue reading for another look at the Air Force 1 Low ‘Linen’ cake after the jump and tell us if this is the best cake thus far. Thanks to Scrams for the exclusive photos for Sneaker News.

There was a time when suede-uppered GR dunks were considered gems and demanded a pretty hefty resale price. Caves, Ceramics, Puttys, nicknames galore, suede Dunk Lows were tough to find back then. Here’s a look at a new colorway of the Nike Dunk Low in Deep Garnet and Anthracite, featuring suede uppers and a canvas-fabric on the center panel. The upper is features a tonal red with the exception of said center panel, which is colored in anthracite grey. The midsole is a Home Raygun-esque black with a white bottom sole. Can the Dunk regain its prominence from years ago? You can never say no to a clean pair of dunks so check out the detailed shoes after the jump and expect these to hit Nike Sportswear retailers soon. via Dunk.

It was only a matter of time before Air Max was paired with Fuse on a basketball shoe, and here it is – the Nike Air Max Fly By, due for a landing this Summer 2011 season. Fuse and Max Air are two opposing schools of thought – one lets air move in and out freely while the other entraps it and harnesses it into a uber-comfy cushioning system. Still, both technologies manage to achieve equilibrium in the Air Max Fly By, which features an upper design similar to the Nike Hyperfuse but with an added Max Air heel unit and an ankle strap for lock-down stabililty. These three new colorways of grey/orange, grey/blue, and black/varsity purple are just some of the expected colorways to drop next Summer, so take a look after the jump and let us know what you think of the design. via hoopchina.

Tony Parker and his wife, Eva Longoria, were spotted out and about the other day. The celebrity couple tried to keep a low profile but were still photographed by the paparazzi. Parker had on a Blue Alexander McQueen t-shirt to match his Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke sneakers that he created at New York’s 21 Mercer in SoHo. Actual images of Parker’s Bespoke Air Force 1′s have yet to surface onto the net and now that he’s been seen wearing them the chances are even less likely but it looks as if the San Antonio Spurs’ Point Guard used his home country’s color palette to create his custom Air Force 1. Additionally it looks as if Parker was able to screenprint a logo of some sort onto the quarter panel of the upper, perhaps it’s a new TP9 logo that Nike created for him? Let us know what you think after the jump.

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a concrete release date for the Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’, but for the Cool Grey XI, we gave you a solid release date back in early July. Barring a change of schedule, the Cool Grey XI is set to release on December 23rd, two days before Christmas, and some fear that a repeat of last year’s Space Jam release will occur. Not long ago Sneaker News also gave you a heads up on the packaging for the Cool Grey XI; apparently, the plastic shoe trees – the same used in the Space Jam XI packaging – will be included with the Grey version, so a special slide-out or themed shoe-box could be in the works. In the meantime, take a look at the 2010 Retro version of the Cool Grey after the jump and let us now if you think the Cool Grey release will be as chaotic as the Space Jam XI. via Sneaker Hotline.

Last summer, Eric Koston took his talents to Nike SB (no one-hour special was recorded), a move that instantly give the skate brand with the swoosh a lot more credibility in skater circles. If you recall Sneaker News’ first story on Koston joining Nike SB, you might remember the Koston-ized Nike logos that Nike fashioned as a welcome banner to Eric, but check out this new Jordan-inspired skate-deck from Girl skateboards. It features Koston’s name printed similar to the silver JORDAN logo on a black base, and with a red Jumpman (or Ollie-man, to be more sport-specific) dunking a Girl logo. This Jordan-inspired Koston skate-deck is part of Girl’s Fall 2010 Collection so keep an eye out for these at Girl accounts and let us know what you think of the design.
