Earlier this year Nike debuted the Hyperfly which featured a visible Air Unit at the heel and a Flywire panel at the upper. The upcoming Air Max Hyperbomb is somewhat of a sequel to the Hyperfly, adopting the same structural components on a revised design. The Nike Air Max Hyperbomb is set for a Summer 2011 release with these seven colorways slated for arrival – mostly team-based colorways – with some potential PEs in the mix. In addition to the visible Air and Flywire panel, the Hyperbomb features a Phylon midsole with synthetic leather on the upper and a rubber outsole. Again, you can expect these to drop in Summer 2011 during the second quarter so take a look at the colorways after the jump and let us know what you think of the design. via CK.

The last two Nike Zoom LeBron Ambassador releases were Asia Exclusives, serving as a more affordable alternative to the LeBron signature line, which reached the $160 mark withe LeBron VII. The third Ambassador design falls in line with the design concept behind the Ambassador but brought back an interesting design cue from the Ambassador 1 – the Asian-inspired graphic print that was on the heel of the first. Also added to the Ambassador is a visible Air unit at the heel. The Ambassador III also draws comparisons to the Zoom LeBron III based on the toe construction and Nike swoosh on the heel. These two new colorways of black/red/white and grey/purple/blue are part of the Holiday 2010 releases – an all-black and SVSM colorway followin soon – and once again, the Ambassador is expected to be an Asia Exclusive release. Take a look at both upcoming colorways after the jump and let us know if this is the best Ambaasador design to date. via Dunk.

Arriving this Saturday, September 18th, at the Foot Locker House of Hoops is the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV Akron Zips PE colorway. LeBron James once mentioned he considered going to Akron to play college ball had he not gone prep-to-pro, but in retrospect, any of LeBron’s statements regarding playing for certain teams can be taken with a grain of salt. There’s no doubt Akron would’ve made it to NCAA March Madness at the very least – Akron’s in the not-so-fierce MAC – but that’s all in the past. The Air Max LeBron VIII awaits so if you need the LeBron Soldier IV Akron PEs in your LeBron collection, head to House of Hoops this Saturday.

Eric Koston joined Nike SB in the summer of 2009 and recently we received the proper Nike SB intiation as two special colorways of the Dunk for Koston – SB Dunk High Thai Temple and SB Dunk Low CS – released not long ago. Here’s a look at a Nike shoe Koston can now call his own; the Nike SB Eric Koston Zoom One, currently slated for a Summer 2011 release, features a low-pro construction with a two-piece outsole. No other structural details have been revealed but we can assume that a similar heel construction as well as the modified outsole material used on the SB Dunk Low CS that Koston designed could play a part in the design. This first colorway of blue and gold – similar to the Thailand-flag inspired SB Dunk Low CS is the first known colorway, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info regarding Koston’s first shoe with Nike SB. via N-SB.

Chi McBride’s well known in two circles; he’s a highly sought character actor who’s appeared in a number of feature films and hit TV shows, and he’s also known for having one of the biggest sneaker fiendisms among sneakerheads right now. He’s got the money and the name to get what he wants, and that he does; check out Chi McBride’s greatest sneaker moments, which include some classic Jordans like the white/cement IIIs and the Concord XIs, but some rare joints and 1-of-1s like the VIBE Air Force 1, the Nike SB Dunk Force UNKLE, and an all-black Air Yeezy sample. He’s got some sick heat so check out Chi’s moments after the jump and head to Complex for the entire feature.

Takahiro Miyashita’s Number (N)ine label came to close some time ago but his expertise in creating mystifying pieces of work from the most plain canvasses can be seen in his recent collaborations with Converse. Last March Miyashita created the Asymmetrical All-Star Low and One Star, featuring a Footscape-like lacing structure that fell to the lateral edges of the shoe, and that same design notion is seen in his most recent Number (N)ine x Converse project, inspired by the Odessa, the classic Converse runner from the 1980′s. The uppers of both Fall 2010 colorways are constructed in deer-skin, with leather inner linings. This release will be available at the select Converse accounts like Leftfoot in Singapore so take a look at these inspired designs and let us know what you think. via streething.

Combining the support and lightness of the Nike Hyperdunk to the walking-on-Air feel of the Max Air, the Nike Air Max Hyperdunk should be a hit amongst NBA players who favored the Air Max Hyperize last season. Carlos Boozer, LaMarcus Aldridge, and David West are just some of the All-Star caliber players who might do their thing this upcoming season in the carbon-fiber uppered Air Max Hyperdunk, but its too bad the Boston big-men are either adidas (KG and Perkins), retired (Sheed), or signed with a Chinese brand (Shaq). This newly released colorway of the Air Max Hyperdunk in Gorge Green, Black, and White just released at Finishline so take another look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Basketball updates.

If you couldn’t afford the Foamposite Air Force 1 High or thought it was a bit too extreme for your tastes, here’s a look at another grey pair of High AF1s that might be better adjusted for your taste-buds. Featuring a grey nubuck tonal upper with a white swoosh and bottom sole, this recently released Air Force 1 High is quite similar to the another pair of the Air Force 1 Highs that also featured a light grey upper but with a white/black midsole. Seems like a great option for the winter so take another look at this Air Force 1 High after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Air Force 1 High updates. In the meantime, grab a pair now at Titolo.

With the Los Angeles Lakers winning their second consecutive NBA Title, supporters and detractors alike can conclude that LA is basketball city – unless Miami, Boston, or Orlando have anything to say about that next June. With that in mind, Nike Basketball recently opened the Nike Vault – a basketball-specific store featuring all the latest Nike Kobe and Nike Basketball footwear and apparel with a particular emphasis on Kobe Bryant. The Nike Vault – located in the Staples Center – will have exclusive Kobe gear available, such as customizable t-shirts and “a little surprise on the Kobe V’s” (according to the Nike Vault Facebook Page). The Nike Vault is open now and will continue to remain open even during Laker games, so be sure to check out this new spot if you’re in the Los Angeles area.

Carmelo Anthony was brought onto Team Jordan in 2003 as a prospective next-of-kin to the Jordan Brand legacy. Arriving in November is the Jordan Melo M7, Carmelo Anthony’s seventh signature shoe with Jordan Brand, and it’s quite clear that Melo’s designers followed the ‘Break to Build’ proverb and started from scratch. Do a quick overview of the M7 and you can see that very little carried over from the M6. Strip the upper of the oddly shaped yet square panels and add five vertical panels that allow for more curling, further encouraged by the new grooved outsole. Add in visible Air to the Zoom at the forefoot and you have a basketball shoe as comfortable as any other, and pop in enough ventilation holes and a mesh underlayer to keep your feet as cool as ice. Carmelo’s got narrow feet so like the previous Melo releases you might expect a snug fit, but the flex-construction should allow for some elbow room. The M6 was lifestyle-inspired, and with basketball shoes, it’s a tough task combining the two, so the M7 went back to basketball basics – and ended up being one of the best Melo designs yet. And like all his previous releases, the Melo’s seventh is filled with personalized touches and easter eggs all over – ONE and FIVE on each shoe, MELO spelled out with traction grooves on the sole, etc.. Watch for the Jordan Melo M7 come November 20th, 2010, and check out the detailed gallery after the jump. via Dunk.

The 2010 Doernbecher x Nike Collection is set to debut at Wieden & Kennedy on October 9th, and in following the trend of

featured Jordan models that were part of this worthy cause, as were a number of Nike models, like the Dunk High, Air Force 1, Air Max Zephyr, and more. The current release for this tentative Air Jordan III release is November 12th, 2010, with a colorway of Varsity Red/Metallic Silver-Black.
