Thinking back to Jordan’s post-retirement days, there were a number of athletes that were tapped by Jordan to represent the brand. Gary Payton’s tenure as a Jordan Brand athlete is often overlooked considering he’s most recognized for the ‘Glove’ releases of the late 90′s, but Payton was in fact a JB guy – particularly with his days as a Los Angeles Laker during the ring-chasing period of his storied career. Payton wore shoes like the Air Jordan XIX SE and Team Flow but here’s a look at a Player Exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan XII, featuring Payton’s famous nickname and jersey number stitched on the outer heels of each shoe. The white leather upper is combined with the laker gold mudguard for the Home PE look. Check out the detailed gallery of Gary Payton’s Air Jordan XII PE after the jump and check out the auction from solestop on eBay.

Sneaker News had the opportunity to be a guest at the Gatorade ‘Replay’ event in Chicago last September, and for this one-of-a-kind event, Gatorade tapped the musical acumen of four of Chicago’s premier musicians to create an anthem song for Chicago. Chi-Town natives Common, Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson, and No I.D. collaborated on ‘We Can Do It Now’ for a city-centric song for the Windy City, with each artist providing a personal point of view on ‘Replay’ and what it may signify beyond the exhibition basketball game that was played during the Gatorade ‘Replay’ Event. Continue reading for a video of the song and let us know what you think of the song! via FRESHNESS.

The Air Jordan Flight SC-1 is a hightop lifestyle sneaker with the Air Jordan III’s sole, the AJIV’s eyelets and a wing vaguely similar to the AJ2, but with this tonal black design, the key feature may have come from the Twelve. Black-on-black means either monochrome or tonal and these go the latter route thanks to a variety of materials ranging from nubuck, to various leathers. And the part that stands out the most is the afore-hinted pebbled leather you’ll find on the first colorway of the Air Jordan XII. It’s a nice little hint at even more of the Air Jordan Legacy in a stylish if unassuming package, and we’ll keep you updated on when they hit stateside retailers. Check out these pics from Dunk and get yours now on eBay.

Lost in the mix of all the classic 80′s basketball releases is the Nike Delta Force High. Obviously the Air Force 1 is the preeminent Force shoe of that era, but the Delta Force has been revived a number of times over the last few years in an effort to maintain relevance. In this decade alone, we’ve seen an auto-claved version of the Delta Force in the Delta Force AC, as well as a skate version as the Delta Force Low and 3/4 was once a prominent member of the Nike SB line-up. This new colorway returns in its original form, in a sweet colorway mix of black, grey, red, and white, and you can hit up Size? to snag a pair.

Here’s a look at a new Nike Blazer Mid designed for V.I.P.s only! Fashioned with a velvety material on the upper in reddish-purple sangria with a golden swoosh, this new Blazer Mid should remind you of velvet ropes used to section off the celebrities and stars or at the doors of some exclusive nightclubs and hotspots. Combined with the sangria and golden stout upper is an ink purple lace-placket and midsole bumper for the supremely regal appearance – almost as if these Blazers were fit for a child king. These would be golden if mens sizes were released, but unfortunately these Velvet Rope Blazer Mids are reserved for the kids only. Take a look at the detailed gallery after the jump and let us know what you think. via Dunk.

The recent Nike SB Dunk High ‘Ironman’ isn’t an official Marvel collaboration, and since DC Comics are working with Converse, that leaves Stan Lee’s works to team up on some kids kicks from RBK. The Spiderman x Reebok collection is a foursome of tiny sneakers to let your little ones shoes match their lunchboxes. Every one of these is extremely bold, with three featuring Spidey’s signature red, royal and black look and a fourth that has more of a Venom look with grey-on-black styling. Check out shots of all four below and grab the Sir Jam and SL6510 in both preschool and toddler sizes (except the black SLs, which are only preschool) at FinishLine.

Undoubtedly one of adidas’ best designs in years is the adidas Fortitude Mid, a mid-cut street-stomper built like a trail shoe but flashy enough to break necks. Colorblocking is key and if the adidas Fortitude Friends and Family Pack of earlier this year didn’t get you on the Fortitude bandwagon, check out the three new freshly delivered colorways that just dropped for the Holiday 2010 season. You’ve got the black/red Mafia-like colorway, one in blue, neon, black, and white, and a third that can only draw comparisons to the popular Aqua or Grape colorways from Air Jordans. You might’ve spotted these at your local retailers already but you can pick any of the three over at Finishline right now, so take a look at all three after the jump and let us know which colorway you like best.

We were happy when the first new Nike Air Structure Triax 91 colorway to surface in months popped up on Sneaker News last week, and here’s another Swoosh runner that draws on its groundbreaking design. The Nike Air Max A/T-5 is somewhere between Structure Triax and Air Max 90, and generally evokes the kind of running designs that made Nike the go-to brand in the early ’90s. This newest colorway is a LIVESTRONG collaboration, its black/grey + yellow colorway signifying that proceeds go to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation and its fight against cancer. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from NikeStore.

After announcing his decision to take his talents to South Beach, LeBron James finally made it out to Miami’s nightlife scene on Friday night, LeBron and his good friend, Rich Paul, along with Power Beats by Dre and Mansion night club hosted “Trilogy”. King James whose Miami Heat routed the Orlando Magic only a few hours earlier showed up to the red carpet at Mansion wearing a Nike Sportswear t-shirt, a pair of raw denim jeans, and a pair of crisp Converse Chuck Taylor All Star’s in the classic White, Red, and Blue colorway. With LeBron being in Miami, we’re sure there will be plenty of opportunities to see him out and about on South Beach.

Just when you thought you were done with the Foamposite, Nike drags you back in with the original colorway that started this craze. Dark Neon Royal is about as tempting you can get with the Foamposite, and it’s this exact color that accentuates the sexy curves of the upper. In this new gallery of images of the upcoming 2011 Retro, you’ll see that oft-maligned blue tint on the translucent sole pairs perfectly with the royal blue upper, and that copping just one pair won’t be enough. Truly a classic and considered to be one of the greatest footwear designs in Nike’s entire history, the Nike Air Foamposite One in the flagship Royal Blue colorway is a must-have for the older cats and young guns. Check out the detailed shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more release info regarding this early-2011 release. via Kenlu.

There’s almost no wrongdoing when white, red, grey, and elephant print makes its way on an Air Jordan, and in this new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Phat Low, you can’t really ask for much more. With the Air Jordan 1 being treated like an Air Force 1 and Nike Dunk, you might’ve had your fill of colorways, but the combination of colors you see here is one that will never get worn out. Sneaker News showed you a “reverse” colorway of this variety of the Phat Low, and like the White/Cement Grey Air Jordan III is to its black counterpart, this new release should be a hit. Elephant print on the swoosh? C’mon! Take another look after the jump and cop a pair from JBseller on eBay.
