For a shoe whose design combines two of the biggest footwear hits of 1987, the Nike Air Maxim 1+ Trainer pictured above looks amazingly modern. It might be the criss-crossing Flywire embedded into their center panel, but even more likely that the AM1 Trainer is benefiting from a breath of fresh air you might call “all-black everything“. This blackout colorway echoes the fashion world’s swing toward subdued, tonal designs in recent months, and gives the Air Maxim 1 Trainer a very mature look. Check out more shots after the jump and look for these at select Nike Sportswear spots including German retailer Schuh-You.
