Every so often Sneaker News will turn back the clock and feature a piece of forgotten history in the annals of sneakers. With today’s rapid pace set by Jordan Brand, a shoe released a month is brushed off as ‘old news’ and concurrently the public is already looking forward to items that won’t even be available for another year. Let’s take a look back at the shoe that started it all – the Air Jordan 1; of course, the shoe featured here isn’t exactly the Air Jordan 1, but the Sky Jordan 1 – the released version of the original Air Jordan but exclusively for women and kids. ‘Air’ was produced to men, leaving the rest with ‘Sky’, but this here is one-of-a-kind rare sample of the Sky Jordan 1 for men. As you can see, it has the same White/Black-Red colorway, but with the Sky Jordan ‘Wings’ logo on the upper. Check out the gallery of this rare gem after the jump and for the serious Jordan collectors, check out the auction from maciekpolska on eBay.
