The Great Recession hit in 2008, and along with it just being time to put away the ultrabrites for a while, the economic downturn produced a solemn mood that has since dominated the fashion industry. With this return to basic colors and designs, are we due for an even-wider-than-normal scale infusion of preppy fashions?
