One huge reason that October/early November is considered one of the best times of the year for sports fans is that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Like Robinson Cano, who Bo Jackson cheered on in one of the original Nike BOOM videos, who continues to stay hot as his New York Yankees contend for the American League pennant. Or the third-ranked Boise State Broncos who are busting through their opponents on the gridiron in real life just as much as they did in Rick Ross‘ original BOOM segment, even as the former #1 Alabama Crimson Tide fell out of the top of the rankings (and out of the latest cut). And Tim Tebow‘s segment as an onlooker in fancy clothes has held up nicely despite early flashes for the ‘other’ Broncos, so when you take the best of all these and link ’em up, what better word for the action-packed minute of video than ‘BOOM’!
