Nike has seen more material innovations cooked up in their Beaverton, Oregon kitchens in the past two years or so, than in the previous decade combined. And when you combine several space age advancements into a single sleek runner, you’ve got the makings of a hit. The Nike LunarSpider looks to be one of the lightest everyday runners yet. It’s sleek chassis is comprised of Flywire and a range of synthetics including plenty of mesh, plus memory foam in the heel for personalized comfort and stability. Toss that upper onto a LunarLon sole and you’re still in featherweight territory, which should translate into longer, more enjoyable runs.
