Nike has a history of nabbing the greatest physical specimens in the world and outfitting them in the ultimate in sports footwear and apparel. Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Ken Griffey Jr., and Kobe Bryant are just some of the elite athletes from past and present that were under Nike’s wings, and now Cristiano Ronaldo, the 25-year-old football megastar, will join that group with the Nike Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II, Ronaldo’s signature football boot. Featuring Flywire, a carbon composite chassis, and Nike SENSE Adaptive Traction System, the Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II is supremely advanced and perfect for Ronaldo’s lightning quick game.

The design of the shoe prominently features Safari print, which is wrapped around the entire shoe as well as the laces. The print itself was made famous by Tinker Hatfield’s Air Safari design of 1987 – a shoe Hatfield described as the perfect balance of high-performance and beauty. That same keynote idea is brought on to the Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II, as Ronaldo himself claims that Safari print expresses his personal style. The ‘CR Safari’ Nike Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II will debut on November 7th during the inter-Madrid matches referred to as “El Derbi” and will release for purchase on November 15th. Proud new owners of Ronaldo’s new boot will also receive special access to Master Speed training content and tips at Nike Football+. Continue reading for a full gallery of the Nike Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II and let us know what you think of the design.
