The Jordan Brand Bin 23 Collection is the rarest assortment of Air Jordans ever released, and getting just one pair is easier said than done. Less than 10,000 pairs of Premios exist worldwide and to have four of them is a feat in itself considering these were no readily available and sold out immediately. So which is your favorite Bin 23 Collection release thus far? The luxurious Air Jordan II, the White and Metallic Gold Air Jordan IX, the Air Jordan XIII that was a sample colorway five years ago, or the Air Jordan VII inspired by West-African art? Drake, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd, and Ne-Yo were all a part of the Power 99 FM 2010 Powerhouse Concert in Philadelphia that was held at the Wells Fargo Center over the weekend. Drizzy showed more of his Jordan closet with his pair of Air Jordan IX’s in the OG White, Black, and Varsity Red that Chris Brown was also seen wearing just a few weeks ago. Rick Ross on the other hand showed up wearing a pair of the recently released Louis Vuitton Black Checkerboard Tower high top sneakers that will set you back a cool $700+. As for the rest of the artists who performed, their sneaker game wasn’t comparable to Drizzy and Ross’. Take a look at some of the performances from the concert after the jump…

If you’re anticipating the release of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, chances are you’ve thought to yourself how the Kobe VI would compare to the Kobe V or even the Kobe IV – Kobe’s first low-cut basketball shoe with Nike. In this comparison by Mugen EP of NT, a Kobe fan juxtaposed the Kobe VI with each of the previous two Kobe releases, offering you a chance to compare the physical dimensions of the shoe. A V vs. VI comparison reveal a similar upper construction but the VI featured a flatter, wider toebox as well as slightly less padding on the ankle. The tongues feature identical construction but the VI features just six lace eyelets, which is one less than the Kobe V. The comparison between the Kobe VI and Kobe IV did not reveal many surprises; whatever conclusions you may have made from a Kobe IV vs. Kobe V comparison could be applied for the Kobe VI. Take a look at the comparison shots after the jump and let us know if you think the Nike Zoom Kobe VI will be the best performing Nike Kobe shoe to date.

Aside from the vulc-soled redux, we’ve seen all of one Nike Delta Force release this entire year! A Nike Basketball classic that was once sold at NSW accounts alongside the Air Force II and other classics, the Delta Force High is back in a colorway that’s ready for the descent into cooler weather. These joints are predominantly brown leather, which is split between a Baroque Brown tumbled overlay and Golden Harvest suede beneath. Select blue hits make for a well balanced look that you could match with anything, though you’d probably want to stick with a lighter grey denim, and they’re available now from UK sneaker spot Size?

If you consider the Nike LeBron III x Air Max 360 hybrid we showed you earlier today, LeBron James’ propensity toward playoff-specific sneakers kicked off years ago. But truthfully, those were never intended to see the light of an NBA arena, and it was only last year that we started to see a slimmed-down version of the regular seson LBJ Nikes as a postseason alternative. Following in the footsteps of the LeBron VII PS, the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII V2 allows King James to keep it moving with power and grace even after an 82-game regular season. These joints are covered in a translucent, Flywire-embedded material that sheds pounds of pressure off the knees and ankles, and the moire-like array of underlying perforations makes for one of the most unique basketball shoes in recent memory. We’ve got a bunch of up-close images awaiting your click on the jump below, so check em out and let us know which LeBron 8 model is your fave. via Taobao

At the snap of a finger, LeBron James went from beloved savior of the NBA to one of the most hated professional athletes in the history of sports. The city of Cleveland reacted to their king’s departure by transforming themselves from a group of loyal followers to a spiteful rebel faction, burning his wine and gold ’23′ jersey to the ground and writing hateful letters. His decision to leave Cleveland and sign a multi-year contract with the Miami Heat wasn’t exactly widely praised but it was a decision he made for himself – prioritizing winning rings over personal achievements. Just seven years into his career, LeBron could not accomplish any more as an individual; MVPs, scoring titles, All-Star Games, Gold Medals, a signature shoe line, endorsements up the wazoo – he’s got it all.
In this latest advertisement by Nike, LeBron James asks the audience “What Should I Do?”. In an attempt to kill multiple birds with one stone, LeBron addresses all the criticism he’s received since his decision in one fell swoop, as he wonders if he should believe that he’s ruined his legacy as he speaks before an empty banquet hall during a mock Hall of Fame induction ceremony and relives the classic Charles Barkley commercial from the 90′s while stating “I am NOT a role model”. LeBron wraps it up with one final question: “Should I be who YOU want me to be?”. Is this an attempt to ‘save’ his image or to simply tell his side of the story, or is this just a reminder that the media may have twisted his desire to win at the highest level into something of an evil-doers deed? Take a look at the screencaps and full video after the jump and let us know if your opinion on LeBron James has been changed.

Some of the mystique around the SB Dunk boom of the first half of the decade was the limited availability, so it’s no surprise that some of the most money-fetching pairs are the ones that never actually released. The Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Loon’ was designed by Rob Sissi, the Midwest regional rep for Nike SB, with an inspiration coming from the loon – the state bird of Minnesota. However a release of the Loons never came into fruition and whatever sample pairs that were created floated around the hands of hardcore collectors – and today a pair demands close to $5,000. The news of a possible Quickstrike release of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Loon’ should be a symphony to the ears to those who have yearned for this specific pair – and nails on a chalkboard to those who ponied up a load of cash for the sample pairs. The release is still a rumor at this point but stick with Sneaker News for more updates on this high-profile release, and let us know if you’d pick up a pair if these do in fact make it to production. via N-SB.
