“Impress Me!“, Bo screams at Robinson Cano, who quietly accepts the challenge during a BP session. Cano obliges, flips the bat around like a baton, and smacks a monstrous dinger over the fence. There’s something about Bo Jackson, Mr. Cross Training himself, that brings out the best in an athlete, so if you want to experience some of that ‘Boom‘, hit up Niketown in New York City tomorrow at 6 P.M. for Nike Sportswear‘s ’All For One’ event because Bo Jackson will be on hand to talk about Cross-Training and the ultimate shoe for that sort of activity – the Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid. The sneaker feature of the event is a limited edition Nike Trainer 1.2 Mid ‘All For One’ Pack, of which just eleven will be available. Be There or Be Square!

Sneaker News showed you a never-before-seen colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI that was sitting inside a locker during a special during a pre-season workout. Here’s a first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Concord‘ which featured a colorway of white, black, and concord. The colorway is identical to the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ but the Kobe version features a the concord purple shade on the upper, particularly on the midsole, heel-cup, and inner lining, with black on the stenciled swoosh and Kobe shozoku logo on the tongue. Possibly the ‘Home’ colorway (like the Kobe V ‘Inline’) that Kobe will rock once the Kobe VI is debuted, this colorway should be a popular release once they become available. Continue reading for a full gallery of the Kobe VI Concord and let us know what you think of this colorway – and stay in tune to Sneaker News as well will keep you on top of all Nike Kobe news. via MS.

If you’re familiar with Sole Collector‘s collaborations with Nike in the past, then you’d be well aware that the upcoming Sole Collector x Jordan CMFT 11 SC will be one of the most limited releases of the year. The Sole Collector x Air Max 95 was limited to just 300 pairs and the Dunk High design had only 400 available, so you can make an educated guess that the availability will be somewhere around that ballpark figure – or even less. With just two locations set for a release – Nike Santa Monica and Nike Roosevelt Field – getting a pair will be easier said than done. Sole Collector has organized the release event with the venues so if you plan on getting yourself a pair, be at Nike Roosevelt Field no earlier than 7:00 AM and at Nike Santa Monica no earlier than 8:00 AM this Saturday. Continue reading for complete release information and instructions.

The Air Jordan III is one of the most celebrated sneakers of all-time; it’s considered a must-have for any serious Jordan collector and the shoe itself was quite popular way before the sneaker culture boomed to what it is today. Complex.com compiled a list of the most memorable Air Jordan III moments captured on the feet of celebrities, like when hip-hop mega-stars wore ‘em for photoshoots, music videos, and even on the streets. The Jordan III is also popular amongst the females, as this interesting list includes Amber Rose, Kelis, and noted sneakerhead Lily Allen. Possibly the best of the bunch? A screencap of a very young Fred Savage wearing the Air Jordan III ‘Fire Red’ during an episode of The Wonder Years. Check out some of the best moments after the jump and head to Complex.com for the full feature.

Bo Knows plenty. He was the ultimate dual-sport athlete and that indescribable ‘BOOM’ was an inherent trait – where he got it from is still a mystery. Another thing Bo Knows is cross-training, so Nike outfitted him with some of the best training shoes ever created by the brand, like the Air Trainer SC. In 2010, the classic returned in a revamped form – the Trainer SC 2010 – with a special leather-uppered ‘baseball glove’ colorway of the shoe. Here’s a look at three new suede/leather pairsof the Trainer SC 2010 in three great premium colorways. Sneaker News actually showed you a sample pair of the Team Red colorway some time ago and the two new Baroque Brown and Wheat colorways complete the set of sports-inspired Trainers with the lux look. Head over to Nikestore to pick up any of the three pairs of the Nike Trainer SC 2010 Premium ‘Bo Knows’ Pack.

Derek Jeter is considered one of the best post-season players in the history of professional baseball. Mock up a greatest all-time list of playoff performers and leading off that impressive line-up is surely number 2 of the New York Yankees, who holds the record for most hits, runs, and total bases in postseason history. Jeter’s going after his sixth championship this postseason and while doing so, he’ll debut the Jordan Jeter Cut, which signifies the 10th Anniversary of his first signature shoe with Jordan Brand. Featuring a combination of patent and matte leather on the upper with a metallic silver Jumpman on the heel and his famous jersey number stamped on the upper ankle, the Max Air cushioned Jordan Jeter Cut will officially be Jeter’s signature shoe for the 2011 season. One interesting point of focus on the shoe is the use of the Nike swoosh (on the spikes) on a Jordan shoe – a co-branding that ceased with the Air Jordan VII. Take a look at the images after the jump and keep an eye out for these during the rest of the American League Championship Series.

Sprite used to be just Coca-Cola’s 7-Up, and then the world’s most recognizable brand altered how they were marketing the sparkly lemon-lime drink and co-opted two of the most powerful influences in youth culture: basketball and hip-hop music. Grant Hill pitched the drink for years, followed by Kobe Bryant and now LeBron James, and even before the Zoom LeBron Soldier II Sprite PE, this soda and sneaker culture were on parallel tracks. That’s why it’s so easy to see a 20oz. bottle when you peep this new Nike Air Max 90 in white and grey with royal blue and kelly green accents. These bold primary colors offer a warm look even as the weather decides to do the opposite, and you can grab a pair from Nike Sportswear retailers like Britain’s JD Sports.

The original and most easily recognizable colorway of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 is dubbed ‘Orlando Magic’. That’s where Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway’s NBA career got off to such a brilliant start that Nike was set to have him assume the torch Michael Jordan so admirably carried. But MJ came back and his Bulls swept the Magic the same year the Penny 1 debuted, leaving Michael back on top and Penny looking down the barrel of a series of knee injuries. Somewhat saddening, but that’s the Penny Hardaway story: a super-elite talent who had the world’s most powerful marketing at his back that simply couldn’t stay healthy.
Penny played stints in New York and Miami, but his first post-Magic team was the Phoenix Suns. And with this Air Penny 1 colorway, it wouldn’t be any more obvious they’re shouting out that period of his career if they were being worn by the Suns’ gorilla mascot, as Charles Barkely already cemented the meaning of a black basketball shoe with purple accents. These look to be a dope edition to the Penny retro legacy, so click below to see more shots and stick with Sneaker News for more in advance of next year’s release. via MN

The Nike LeBron 8 V2 is a Flywired-out LeBron 8 that drastically reduces the weight of the shoe without sacrificing the stability and support offered by full-grain leather or suede. In place of the carbon-fiber uppers are Flywire panels on a translucent shell comparable to the upper of the Nike ACG Ashiko Boot, with a fully-ventilated base layer underneath. Like preparing a stock car for a race, Jason Petrie and the engineers behind the V2 cut weight wherever possible, even if it meant stripping the tongue of leather/suede and replacing it with the Flywire shell material. LeBron’s signature shoes with Nike have been somewhat criticized for being too heavy, but the V2 could possibly be the lightest LeBron signature shoe ever created. Take another look at the LeBron 8 V2 after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more information regarding this upcoming release. via in52.

Kobe Bryant racked up his fifth overall gold ring this past June and as he begins his quest to match Michael Jordan and his two championship three-peats, Kobe fans will have an opportunity to add the Nike Zoom Kobe V ’5 Rings’ to the collection of Kobe Vs. Much like the Nike Zoom Kobe IV ’4 Rings’, the updated version utilizes a gradient scheme in Kobe’s Laker colorways, although this time it will be used only on the midsole and the on the 5 Rings graphic on the upper (which begins the yellow-to-purpole fade just on the upper lace placket of the shoe). The graffiti-like graphic features numerous illustrations of the number five and is printed all over the upper, with the exception of the heel cup and mesh collar. The Kobe V 5 Rings will feature a translucent outsole as well a special ‘MVP’ insole, paying tribute the Black Mamba’s MVP performance throughout the seven-game series. Take a detailed look at the Nike Zoom Kobe V ’5 Rings’ after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for all your Kobe Bryant news and updates. via NT.

Imagine how much spring you’d have in each step if you were on the moon, where the surface has 1/6 the gravity of our Earth. If you’ve ever been on a gyroscope ride, an inversion table or jumped out of a plane, you know that manipulating gravity can be amazingly refreshing. And you’d probably have to head out of the stratosphere to find a better mix of lightweight comfort and otherworldy style than the Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+. This updated runner turned chukka-style lifestyle sneaker has thus far showcased Nike’s featherweight Torch mesh, but these two new pairs keep their diamond-patterned upper with perforated leather that’s considerably more appropriate for colder weather. Check out new pairs in Team Orange and Photo Blue, both with cookies-n-cream speckled soles in detailed images after the jump below. via Dunk
