The Nike LeBron 8 V2 is a Flywired-out LeBron 8 that drastically reduces the weight of the shoe without sacrificing the stability and support offered by full-grain leather or suede. In place of the carbon-fiber uppers are Flywire panels on a translucent shell comparable to the upper of the Nike ACG Ashiko Boot, with a fully-ventilated base layer underneath. Like preparing a stock car for a race, Jason Petrie and the engineers behind the V2 cut weight wherever possible, even if it meant stripping the tongue of leather/suede and replacing it with the Flywire shell material. LeBron’s signature shoes with Nike have been somewhat criticized for being too heavy, but the V2 could possibly be the lightest LeBron signature shoe ever created. Take another look at the LeBron 8 V2 after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more information regarding this upcoming release. via in52.

Kobe Bryant racked up his fifth overall gold ring this past June and as he begins his quest to match Michael Jordan and his two championship three-peats, Kobe fans will have an opportunity to add the Nike Zoom Kobe V ’5 Rings’ to the collection of Kobe Vs. Much like the Nike Zoom Kobe IV ’4 Rings’, the updated version utilizes a gradient scheme in Kobe’s Laker colorways, although this time it will be used only on the midsole and the on the 5 Rings graphic on the upper (which begins the yellow-to-purpole fade just on the upper lace placket of the shoe). The graffiti-like graphic features numerous illustrations of the number five and is printed all over the upper, with the exception of the heel cup and mesh collar. The Kobe V 5 Rings will feature a translucent outsole as well a special ‘MVP’ insole, paying tribute the Black Mamba’s MVP performance throughout the seven-game series. Take a detailed look at the Nike Zoom Kobe V ’5 Rings’ after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for all your Kobe Bryant news and updates. via NT.

Sneaker News has kept you on top of all the Nike Air Max ACG Pack releases, but here we get a look at a new colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 set to be a part of this special collection of ACG-colorway-inspired Air Maxes. Featuring a grey mesh base layer with a purple toe/quarter, grey mudguard, a hot red swoosh, and a white/purple midsole, this colorway follows the Nike Air ACG Terra from the early 90′s, much like the Nike Lunar Air 180 ACG designed by Size? for its 10th Anniversary. We also get another look at the purple/red colorway of the Air Max 1 that Sneaker News showed you months before. Take another look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more state-side release information regarding this great upcoming release. via modern-notoriety.

Imagine how much spring you’d have in each step if you were on the moon, where the surface has 1/6 the gravity of our Earth. If you’ve ever been on a gyroscope ride, an inversion table or jumped out of a plane, you know that manipulating gravity can be amazingly refreshing. And you’d probably have to head out of the stratosphere to find a better mix of lightweight comfort and otherworldy style than the Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid+. This updated runner turned chukka-style lifestyle sneaker has thus far showcased Nike’s featherweight Torch mesh, but these two new pairs keep their diamond-patterned upper with perforated leather that’s considerably more appropriate for colder weather. Check out new pairs in Team Orange and Photo Blue, both with cookies-n-cream speckled soles in detailed images after the jump below. via Dunk

Team Dime originated during Mike Bibby’s days as part of the Vancouver Grizzlies franchise. The story goes likethis: Bibby’s entourage, consisting of his two brother Dana Flores and Hank Bibby as well as his friend Tony Thompson, came up to Vancouver with Mike to help him get acquainted with his new Canadian surroundings. The four walked into the team gym facility, where former teammate Shareef Abdur-Rahim labeled the group ‘Team Bibby’. Flores responded with, “Nah, it’s Team Dime“, and the name just stuck. Of course, Dime refers to Bibby’s #10 jersey that he’s worn all this life, and the TD/10 logo makes not of that. This rare Nike Air Force 1 ‘Team Dime’ Mike Bibby PE is one of the rarer Air Force 1s to have ever released, so take a look at the gallery of images after the jump and check out the auction from abtmchan on eBay.

If the essence of a lifestyle sneaker is to take classic athletic aesthetics and apply them to a comfy yet wardrobe-friendly design, this is among the lifestyle-est of them all. The Nike MS78 LE draws heavily upon the Air Pegasus series for its late ’80s-evoking design, with the above pictured pair appearing in one of sneaker culture’s most beloved colorways. There’s none of the range of greys and browns we’ve seen so frequently of late, with this pair instead opting for a tonal black upper that finds red and white accents on the midsole and ankle. Check out more shots when you click the jump below and grab a pair today from select Nike Sportswear retailers like Purchaze.

Something like the counterpart to the Nike Blazer, the adidas Center is a vintage-style mid-cut basketball shoe from the 80′s that has returned decades later in full force. Arriving in suede materials and leather inner linings, these two new colorways of the adidas Center feature white three-stripes and midsoles completing the classic appeal – the toe construction is in fact copied from the adidas Gazelle. A bright grass green with a black lining and a black colorway with an electric green lining just arrived at Schuh-You so take a look at both colorways after the jump and let us know what you think.

Buffalo plaid was the signature streetwear look emerging in winter 2007 and subsiding as more intricate and western plaids started to dominate last year. With this shift in weaves, it’s only natural for the Woolrich x Converse collection to move away from the checkered look and into something that’s nearly all-black (everything). The Woolrich x Converse Jack Purcell LTT Ox is pictured above in its simplest edition yet: a black wool upper with a white sole. But to suggest that these are just a thoughtless mashup would be to ignore the unique black stripe that circumnavigates the sole and gives these an almost wingtip feel. Check out more shots after the jump and grab a pair from Chicago sneaker spot St. Alfred.

Think of a black-to-white color scheme; is there anything beyond white? Perhaps “clear” (if that was a color)? The one way to capture someone lighter than white is the translucent sole, which has been slapped on the bottom of this pair of Air Max 95s. Translucent soles are a rarity for the AM95 – perhaps some of you can remember the circa 2000-2001 Air Max 95s in the trademark gradient colorways but with leather materials and translucent bottoms. Sneaker News first showed you this colorway about a month ago and as expected, the response was more than positive. Don’t sleep on this perfectly color-blocked pair of 95s because these just hit Nike Sportswear retailers like EXIT-36, but you can get a pair on eBay.

Mike Bibby has been on of the more recognizable Jordan Brand endorses over the last decade. The certified sneakerhead has been balling in heat for a long time – particularly in Air Jordan Lows like this Player Exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan XIV Low. The white, black, and royal purple colorway is an obvious connection with his time with the Sacramento Kings, with ‘TD’ on the tongue representing his entourage ‘Team Dime’. The all-white shoe features purple accents on the heel and Jumpman at the base of the lacing with silver trim on the midsole and other branding on the upper. This deadstock pair of Bibby’s PEs is quite rare so check out the gallery of images after the jump and check out the auction from abtmchan on eBay.
