Anta Luis Scola Signature Sneaker

Houston Rockets power forward Luis Scola has followed Kevin Garnett as the second NBA star to sign on with Chinese footwear brand Anta.  Scola’s upcoming Anta signature should meet with a warmer greeting than the KGs’ mixed reviews, as the design is both more familiar to US sneakerheads and their unique inclusion of Luis’ career accomplishments might be the best since the Air Jordan X.  Things like ‘Spanish basketball league rookie of the year’ wrap around the heel of this pair, which is colored up after the Chinese flag.  Even the sole on these is interesting, with midsole tooling similar to the Hyperdunk 2010 and Zoom Kobe V from Nike, but the podular outsole unlike anything we’ve ever seen.  Click the jump below to see more of Luis Scola’s Anta sneakers and stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via HoopChina

Nike SB Zoom Koston One Upcoming Colorway Teaser

Eric Koston’s “BOOM” got him a signature shoe with Nike,  the Zoom Koston One, currently scheduled for a 2011 release. Here’s a teaser of three of the upcoming colorways of Koston’s first signature shoe since moving up the Beaverton; a deep varsity purple and gold as well as a black/grey combination and a red/light green look to be part of the first releases of the Koston One, with all three pairs constructed in suede. Sneaker News already gave you a look at the Zoom/LunarLon cushioning unit as well as a the two-piece midsole that is set specifically to Koston’s standards – like the ones he requested for his Dunk Low Custom Series. Take another look at all three colorways after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike SB info. via trustnobody.

Nike Air Max NM Nomo Varsity Red Yellow Black | 2011 Sample

A nice chunk of Nike’s Retro focus in 2011 will be on baseball trainers of the 90′s. With a confirmed release of the Nike Air Griffey Max II for the Summer 2011 Season, next year will already be a big hit on that shoe alone, but joining the Retro cause is the Nike Air Max NM Nomo in this Varsity Red colorway. Sitting on top of the same midsole as the Air Griffey Max 1 and the trademark jagged upper panels, the Air Max Nomo – Hideo Nomo’s signature shoe – should be a big hit next year (even among those who have never seen him pitch). This is just one of the upcoming colorways of the Air Max nomo, with the Pro Blue colorway also slated for a release. Check out the extra shots after the jump and let us know if these are a must-cop for you. via modern-notoriety.

Nike Terminator High Basic Hiking Boot Pack New Images

Even with more Nike Boots on retail shelves than ever before, you still can’t go wrong with a classic sneaker with hiking and/or work-inspired embellishments.  The Nike Terminator High Basic ‘Hiking Boot Pack’ is the yin to the AF1 Workboot’s yang, as the Terminator is returns in a boot-like form for the third consecutive holiday season.  These joints feature metal eyelets, with the top two as D-rings to secure the trail-inspired ticked laces.  The combination of tonal suede and tumbled leather on black and Stone pairs manages to appear tough and lush at the same time, and you can pick up either pair of the Nike Terminator High Hiking Boot Pack over at Kix-Files.

Converse All Star Leather D Ring Black + Brown

Sneaker brands have branched out into boot territory more than ever before this year.  Not only does every brand have their own ‘real’ boots these days, but most are also applying rugged hiking/workboot construction to their classic models.  Take for example the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Leather D-Ring, a shoe that lives up to its name quite nicely.  These joints are a bit tougher than your average Chucks, with two toned suede uppers serving as the base for metal hex eyelets and D-rings on the top two.  Pairs in brown with red laces and black with blue are both familiar, yet among the freshest sneaker-boots we’ve seen for the holiday season.  Click the jump below to see more shots and grab yours directly from Converse.

Nike LunarMX+ Black Dark Grey Photo Blue

With the LunarMax+90 we showed you apparently set to live out its live as but a sample, here’s a look at a new Nike runner that successfully integrates Max Air cushioning into a LunarLon sole.  The new Nike LunarMax+ offers much of what’s great about Nike running right now, with the aforementioned supremely cushioned sole topped by a Flywire-equipped super breathable upper that features a geometrically pattern on the heel like many of the Swoosh’s recent tech-heavy drops.  This black and Photo Blue pair would be great for jogging the campus at Chapel Hill, or really anywhere a cutting edge sneaker would come in handy.  Click the jump below to see more photos and grab yours today from Nikestore.

Married To The Mob x Reebok Freestyle Dubble Bubble

Married to the Mob is no stranger to sneaker collaborations, and even if their Vans never hit retail, the MTTM x Nike Dunk High remains one of the more unique tag-team efforts, especially on a women’s shoe.  That’s the least you could say of the Married to the Mob x Reebok Freestyle Dubble Bubble, which at first seems very familiar, until you remember that the OG Freestyle actually has but two ankle straps.  The addition of a third extends the Freestyle silhouette into an almost TK Society-style look, but it’s clear from the kissy face logos on the lateral heel and tongue tags that these are intended to convey a more feminine feel.  Click the jump below more shots of the MTTM x Reebok Freestyle that’ll release on November 1st at exclusively at UNDFTD, PickYourShoes, KarmaLoop and Michael K.

Nike Air Max Penny 1 Orlando 2011 Sample | New Images

The beloved Dark Neon Royal Nike Air Foamposite One is set for a retro release early in 2011, but it was the above pictured shoe that put Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway on the map two years before the Foam Ones hit retail.  The Nike Air Max Penny 1 is also scheduled for a Spring ’11 retro release in the OG ‘Orlando Magic’ colorway that introduced the world to Chris Rock’s Lil Penny marionette.  These joints have the massive swooping midsole that foreshadowed design trends in both the ‘vented’ Foam Ones and the Air Penny III’s ‘liquid’ sections, and of course, the resulting 1/2 Cent hybrid.  Check out more shots of the original Air Penny 1 after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike Basketball retro releases.  via modern-notoriety

Nike Air Max+90 Lunar White Purple | Sample

The Nike V-Series of running sneakers from the mid-’80s is set to rise from the grave courtesy of the lightened load on the moon, but they’re not the only classic Nike runners getting the LunarLon upgrade.  Of course we’ve already seen the Lunar Air 180, so you already know more or less what to expect from the Nike Air LunarMax+ 90.  Featuring a new cage over the AM90′s signature Air bubble frame, the Lunar Max+90 is otherwise most similar to your basic Air Max 90, which makes us wonder if Current or Torch editions will also see the light of day at retail.  Seems unlikely, given that Suede&Mesh are reporting the above pictured pair of ‘standard’ LunarMax 90s are just a sample that probably won’t make it to production, so click the jump below to see more and let us know if you’d cop these, were they to release.
