Slim Chin and Derrick Rose

“I got all this cos I’m faaaaast!”

When you watch this new Slim Chin video by adidas Basketball, be mindful of the fact that actor/comedian Ken Jeong is not just a comedic genius, but a doctor!  Jeong graduated from Duke and got his MD at UNC, so he’s probably one of the brightest guys you’ll ever see telling a joke for cash, and he has a simple formula for how you too can live in the lap of luxury: SPEED.  In Slim Chin’s latest spot, he’s seen leaving Kenny Powers’ ambitions for excess in the dust with a solid gold jetski taking laps in a caviar-filled swimming pool.  What does that have to do with Three Stripes slasher Derrick Rose?  The Chicago Bulls point guard is among the fleetest of feet in the NBA, and you can see just how that quickness translates through his new adidas adiZero Rose into riches by clicking the jump below for the full video.

Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Pewter

Earlier today, Sneaker News showed you a sneak peak at the Metallic Pewter Nike Air Foamposite One in shots both outside and side-by-side with the OG Dark Neon Royal pair.  All teasing aside, these have gotta be up there with some of the most beloved Foam colorways, with the satiny matte finished upper perfectly resembling the metal from which they get their name.  These are scheduled to hit retailers in Spring 2011 along with the OGs, and just as is the case with that already iconic colorway, these joints are inevitably going to pop up early from select retailers.  Case in point: you can already grab sizes 8-12 somewhere between 3-6 months early (official release date TBA) from Marquee Sole, so check out the detailed gallery after the jump and let us know what you think of this metallic colorway.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Matt Lauretti Part 2

The Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke experience is exclusive to New York’s 21 Mercer Street Nike Sportswear flagship store (and of course a brief cameo at Nike Harajuku in Tokyo).  It’s so incredibly fun to have nearly unlimited control over ultra-premium materials that Italian Matthew Lauretti has made not one but two trips to NYC with the expressed goal of copping new Bespokes!  Part due for Lauretti showcases how wide the materials options really are on AF1 Bespokes, with these joints mixing large-gauge perforated leather, croc skin, waxed denim and nubuck in a colorway that could best be represented by ‘Toronto Raptors’.  Check out more shots after the jump and let us know how these rank against the best Bespokes.

Paul Rodriguez Its Different on My Mountain Video

When you think of skate videos, fisheye lenses and underground hip-hop come to mind.  The cameraman is typically riding himself, often with the lens held low so you can catch the tricks from near ground level.  This sort of perspective not only lends a signature aesthetic but magnifies the significance of most tricks, something that apparently can be beautifully achieved with a more cinematic approach.  In Paul Rodriguez‘ “It’s Different on My Mountain” spot for his sponsor Mountain Dew, P-Rod is seen skating in a variety of locales with crisp visuals, the climax of which is an extended shot that leaves you guessing till the end.  Click the jump below to see the full vid and stick with Sneaker News for more on the Nike SB P-Rod IV.

Nike Air Foamposite One Pewter | Teaser Pics

2010 has been so jam packed full of Foamposite technology that it’s spilling over into 2011.  Still ahead of its time even 13 years after the initial release, the Nike Air Foamposite One is set to retro in its OG Dark Neon Royal colorway and this brand new edition dubbed Metallic Pewter.  The satiny shade of silvery grey is absolutely perfect, and unless wearing metal shoes wasn’t the type of thing that’d get you committed, people might actually think they’re cast in pewter.  And while Foamposite is known to improve its conforming fit on your foot as it warms up, these kicks are great about avoiding creases unlike the super-malleable metal they’re colored after.  Check out these new teaser pics courtesy of Marquee Sole‘s contribution to the Sneaker News Blogs, where you’ll find a bunch of outdoor photos of the Metallic Pewter and Dark Neon Royal Foamposite Ones.

Terry Richardson x Reebok Classics Campaign

All of Reebok’s marketing strategies of 2010 have been successful in a sense that the brand has regained our attention in more ways than one. It’s back on the basketball scene, after it signed number-one pick John Wall to an endorsement deal, and also touched on fashion circles with it’s collaboration with Emporio Armani. How does it spark the interest of the ‘hip’ crowd? Employ none other than Terry Richardson, the iconic New-York based photographer with a flair for the daring and trademark flash exposure. In this campaign that was published in Vice magazine, Terry Richardson did his usual sublime work with a focus on Reebok Classics like the Paris Runner and the CL Nylon an the new joints from the Reebok Fly Generation like the Ree Down and Ree Funk. Check out the photos from the Terry Richardson x Reebok Campaign after the jump. via FRESHNESS.

adidas Torsion SP Low Grey Navy Green Orange

In a year that’s seen adidas Originals and its ObyO collaborators offering all kinds of new lifestyle oriented designs, it’s reassuring to see Three Stripes dig into the vaults to preserve the classic models.  The adidas Torsion SP is a trail runner that’s been around nearly as long as Nike’s All Conditions Gear division, and this new colorway has a sort of timeless quality about it.  And that’s not because they’re like so many of the other classically styled two-tone and other simple colorways that have dominated 2010, but rather because the combination of navy, kelly green and orange has a washed out/aged look next to the light grey base.  Check out more images of this elder statesman of the outdoors and grab a pair from fellow Germans, Schuh-You.
