Kobe made the low-top basketball shoe cool but it was Steve Nash who started the trend within Nike. The two-time MVP has been wearing low-cut kicks on court for a long while and his recent kicksology reads: Air Jet Flight, Air Zoom Drive, Air Flight Banger, Air Zoom BB Low I & II, Cradle Rock Low. If the trend isn’t obvious yet, here’s a look at the Black/White/Red/Grey colorway of the Nike Air Max Cradle Rock Pro; the low-cut Nash-specific basketball shoe features a visible Air Unit on the heel with an Air Max Rise-esque midsole design. You can expect Steve Nash to wear this model during the upcoming post-Amare Phoenix Suns era, so check out the extra detailed images from estpremium after the jump and if you like what you see, you can get yours now on eBay.

Some of the big NBA-related stories during the offseason seemed fit for a fiction novel, haven’t they? LeBron’s departure and Cleveland’s reaction, a shift in the balance of power, and a dominating force ruling the realm once again. One of the biggest storytellers of all time has partnered up with ESPN and the NBA to create amazing comic-book covers of NBA teams, playing off of historic Marvel characters; Kobe Bryant as Ironman, Yao Ming as Weapon X, the Celtics as the Fantastic Four (well, five), and LeBron James leaving behind his jersey are just some of the classic Marvel tales that we all grew to love. Take a look at this great gallery of art and let us know which is your favor ESPN x Marvel Comics x NBA Team cover!

LIVESTRONG started with a yellow rubber band, but the signature colorway is black and yellow, one we’ve seen on countless Nike Sportswear collaborations. Recently, new shades came into the mix with white playing a big role along with some red for Team Radio Shack, and yesterday we even saw an unprecedented navy blue pair! So if the LAF-benefiting kicks are out of the Steelers/Penguins zone, that leaves some room for this Nike Air Max 24/7 for women. We’ve remarked on the AM24/7′s seamless integration of Air Maxes 95 and 97, but this one manages to match the feel of the Ninety-Five’s grey-dient and the Ninety-Seven’s signature Silver Bullet look, all while softening the typically high-contrast black and yellow look for something a bit more wardrobe friendly. A smart choice for ladies runners in Pittsburg and abroad, grab a pair of these today at FinishLine.

Supra’s known for their super-hightops and rockstar appeal, but it’s very possible some of their best releases this season appear on one of the crown brand’s simplest silhouettes. These new Supra Stacks keep with everybody’s move toward clean looks with a trio of new colorways that use no more than three colors each. You might think ‘Aqua’ when you see the first pair with a purple sole, but its upper is more of a blue suede than purple, so the black/red/white joints prove to be a more faithful Jordan nod. But the blue ones are equally satisfying, as is a navy pair, and all three are in-store now at select Supra stockists.

Releasing right around the same time as the similarly now-rare Court Force and Delta Force is this new Nike Air Force II High. AF-deuxs used to sell alongside the aforementioned Forces at Nike Sport Culture accounts, but the change in name to Nike Sportswear heralded a shift in thinking with other retros, hybrids and lifestyle-oriented designs leading the way. And the Air Force II couldn’t have come back in a better colorway, with this Bred palette offering a tiny tribute to its Chicago roots with some AJXI-style patent leather on the Swooshes. We’ve got more images waiting for you to click on the jump below, and if you wanna grab a pair, the only place that has em is Britain’s JD Sports.

More darkness each day, more dark pairs of Nike Air Force 1 ‘Tec Tuffs’. As the shorter days bring inevitably yucky weather, what better way to combat the climate in style than a ruggedized pair of Nike Sportswear’s flagship retro model. The AF1 pictured above is done entirely in obsidian Tec Tuff leather, which has appeared on countless performance athletic and work footwear solutions including a collabo on a rainbow pack of Doc Martens last year. This pair’s on the darker end of the spectrum, and you can get a better look by clicking below, then buy yours from JBseller on eBay.

The happiest couple in hip-hop enjoyed an evening out at the Prudential Center to watch the New Jersey Nets take on the Detroit Pistons in the season owner. New Jersey Nets part-owner Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce were spotted on the sidelines during the Nets’ win, with Jay-Z wearing a pair of the Jordan Spiz’ike Winterized Boot. Jay-Z’s sneaker rotation has been all over the place this year; Blazer Mids, Louis Vuitton Dons, Radii high-tops, adidas Superstars make for quite an eclectic line-up and with Jay-Z’s deep pockets, he can pretty much buy and whatever he wants. Take another look at Jay-Z and Beyonce at last night’s Nets game after the jump and let us know what you think of his latest outfit. via Yahoo!.

Many Jordan fanatics of this era can easily reminisce back to their first ever Air Jordans – the ‘Bred’ IV in elementary school, the Hare VIII in kindergarten, or even the Air Jordan XI for the younger fellows. But what if your Jordanheadism went back to infancy, where your memory is unclear and ‘Michael Jordan’ was just another work for baby-talk? Flip through your family photo albums (if it’s digital, don’t bother looking!) and see what sort of kicks your parents had you rocking when you were ghost-ridin’ the stroller. Did you have the typical white tennis shoes with velcro straps, or were you extra-fresh with one of these crisp OG Air Jordans for kids?
For the latest Sneaker News: Classics Revisited segment, we put the spotlight on some classic Air Jordans, like the Bordeaux VII, Infrared and Carmine VI, some Air Jordan XIIs, but in kids and toddler sizes. These little sneakers-turned -collectible gems are particularly rare, especially at this condition, so feast your eyes on this one-of-a-kind treat – there’s so much heat in this pile it might as well be a bonfire. Take a look at this great gallery of images and let us know which mini-Jordan is your favorite, and head to Sneaker News HD for a nice high-res gallery! Many thanks to Packer Shoes, where all of these vintage Air Jordan items are displayed!

A big release for Foamposite fans and an extra-special for you Baltimore/DMV heads is the Nike ACG Air Max Bakin’ Posite Boot. You can trudge through the snow in style with the Foamposite upper, carbon composite heel, and full length Air unit. Nike Boots is definitely a regional thing – those in SoCal can still rock Vans Slip-ons in December – but the Nike Boot season out East is finally here. “These things are tanks” some may say, but that’s only a good thing, because your feet will be nice and toasty while rocking some heat. Take another look at the Black and Varsity Red ‘Cranberry’ colorway after the jump and watch for the Bakin’ Posite Boot to hit your local Nike Sportswear accounts soon. via HS.

For the Nike CR Safari Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II, the great minds of Tinker Hatfield, the Nike VP of Creative Design, and Andrew Caine, the Global Creative Director for Nike Football, meshed together in an old meets new, style meets function project that culminated in Cristiano Ronaldo’s newest signature football boot. In this video feature, Tinker Hatfield talks about “getting out in the world and seeing what’s around” in order to devise great graphic ideas, and he did just that for the historic Safari print that has been revived once again by the Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II. No, he wasn’t out in the jungle or exploring the Serengeti, but someplace a lot more domestic – a furniture store to be exact. Take a look at the video after the jump, because there’s a lot of Nike history worth exploring!
