Air Jordan VII Retro Premio Bin 23 – Detailed Images

Purple labels are a sign of ultra-premium quality from Ralph Lauren to The North Face, and now Jordan Brand turns to the royal look to designate its creme de la creme.  The Air Jordan VII Premio marks the fourth Bin 23 release, and something of a departure from the first three.  Each of those had focused on the sheer luxury of the package, offering rich earthy and golden tones courtesy of deluxe leathers.  But for the Bin 23 AJ7, we’re looking at more of a period piece, with the Seven’s signature spikey lines moved from the tongue and extended from the outsole onto a high-contrast heel pattern that might remind you of any number of early ’90s aesthetics.  The closest you’ll get to to a Hillman College reunion, see more of the Air Jordan 7 Premio when you click the jump below.  via IST

Nike Air Trainer Huarache Spring 2011 Preview

SNEAKERNEWS.COM EXCLUSIVE

The Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid is certainly one of the best releases of the year and one of the better fresh designs of the decade. Inspired by the original Nike Air Huarache Trainer, the Zoom Huarache TR Mid is certainly a worthy bearer of the proud Nike Training torch. But some who consider themselves older souls might prefer the classic over the modern, and for Spring 2011, the call will be answered, because several colorways both new and old of the original Nike Air Trainer Huarache are expected to release. A new colorway that mixes medium grey, black, white, and photo blue will be available (previously released at JDSports) as well a black and varsity red combination, but of course it’s the OG Raiders-esque colorway that should rings bells of a long gone era. It’s one great span of releases if you’re a fan of the Huarache Trainer so check out all three upcoming colorways of the Air Trainer Huarache after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more information on upcoming Nike Retro releases.

Cristiano Ronaldo x Nike Mercurial Superfly II Teaser Images & Video

This Thursday, October 28th, Nike will unveil Cristiano Ronaldo’s newest signature boot – the Nike Mercurial Superfly II. Sure to turn some heads this year on the soccer pitch, the shoe will feature the long-lived Safari print covering the entire boot, with a prominent orange Swoosh placed on the upper and a smaller Swoosh on the medial side. The choice of colorway is interesting to say the very least, as this marks one of the truly rare occasions where a legendary Nike-specific design element made prominent by streetwear will be used on a strict performance shoe like the Mercurial Superfly II. Also included in this preview is a teaser video in which a top-secret package containing the new Ronaldo boot is being transported overseas from Nike’s most top secret offices in Beaverton, OR, with a cameo appearance by legendary Nike designer and Safari-print originator, Tinker Hatfield. More information will be unveiled on October 28th, but in the meantime, take a look at the preview images of the all-new Nike Mercurial Superfly II after the jump and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates coming soon.

Air Jordan Pure J – White – French Blue – Flint Grey

Just as the Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill has given way to the Dean Smith Center where UNC now plays basketball, the shoe once named ‘Carmichael’ in its honor has been given a new moniker.  The Air Jordan Pure J offers a look at what Jays VI and VII might look like if they were created during today’s climate, with angular lines biting their way across the side panels for a spikey, aggressive feel.  The above pictured colorway is a shade darker than a perfect Tar Heel sendup, but whether it’s on Tobacco Road or Champs-Élysées, the white, French Blue and Flint Grey palette is equally beautiful.  A strong effort just in time for basketball season, the French Blue Pure J is available for pre-order now from Eastbay.

Undefeated x Gourmet Cinque Holiday 2010

Back in July, Sneaker News scooped you on an upcoming Gourmet Cinque designed by Eddie Cruz and the rest of his Laker-loving crew at Undefeated.  A model that’s typically just a unique take on your classic lowtop chukka, the UNDFTD x Gourmet Cinque gets back to the heart of the brand by getting back to the heart of another, larger brand.  It won’t take you too long to see the similarities between the shape of these new Cinques’ mudguard and the one found on 1987′s immortal Nike Air Max 1, and these could be seen as the OG Royal answer to the above-linked pair’s OG Varsity Red.  Check out more shots of the black/royal UNDFTD Cinque and grab this colorway today, directly from Gourmet.

Air Jordan XIII – White – Varsity Red – Black | Available Early

In approximately one month, Jordan-heads will be hit with a blitzkrieg of Air Jordan XIII releases, starting with the Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’ on Black Friday. Not long after a Quickstrike release of the Air Jordan XIII ‘Altitude’ will also drop, leaving you a tough decision with the White/Varsity Red Retro. These have never re-issued so it’s always a treat when you come across a pair – and rarely ever are they in pristine condition – but that will soon change once mid-December hits. Don’t make the mistake of letting these be the odd man out in December so cop a pair early because they’re available in advance at Asian retailer jordan8420, but you can also pick up a pair from a stateside seller on eBay.

Nike SB 80s Photo Tees

Years before Nike SB existed, guys like Neil Blender and Lance Mountain were shredding in Swoosh sneakers.  They’re the reason many modern skate shoes have basketball styling: because the impact of kicks like the Nike Blazer and Air Jordan 1 was so far reaching that they became a natural choice for exactly the type of intrepid young man who was your pioneering skateboarder.  Interesting to see all of this come full circle, then, and not on collaborative kicks with either Blender or Mountain (though both have already been done), but instead on a series of Nike SB ’80s Photo Tees that depict scenes like Mickey Reyes wallriding over a couch in a pair of what looks to be either a BTTYS-era Dunk High or an OG AJ1.  Check out the entire collection in images after the jump and look for these as part of the Nike SB November 2011 collection.  via N-SB.org
