It wasn’t long after LCD-powered HDTVs became ubiquitous in American homes that set producers began looking for the next big thing. Will 3-D HDTV become the next breakthrough in home entertainment? That largely depends on whether you’re wearing those sweet glasses, something that’s not required to enjoy this Big Nike High sample. These joints give you the faux-pop-up look by replacing the entire upper’s stitching lines in favor of a double-printed red and blue outline that both conveys the theme perfectly and really does pop with glasses. It’s always bittersweet when an interesting sample like this appears to have been nixed, but collectors can grab a US mens size 9 right now from checkmarksthespot on eBay.

Some may argue this claim but any sneaker in the Knicks/Mets royal blue and bright orange looks great. The Zoom LeBron IV ‘Birthday’ and LeBron VII ‘Hardwood Classic’, the SB Dunk Low ‘Supa’, Air Max 1 ‘Amsterdam’ Hyperstrike, and countless other general release shoes just seem to shine with the blue/orange colorway. Take for example this Air Jordan II Fred Jones PE; during his short stint with the New York Knicks, the former Dunk Contest champion was given this absolutely sick pair of the Air jordan II in a black upper with Knicks blue/orange accents, attacking in the just the right amounts with perfect color-blocking all-throughout. Up until 2010, the Air Jordan II might have been the tamest Air Jordan to date (in terms of colorways), but this Knicks PE shows that the Air Jordan II is certainly one of the best of all time – all it needs it the right colorway to give it a fresh jolt of energy. Check out the gallery of images of this rare Air Jordan II PE and cop this pair from sole_supreme on eBay.

Here’s a bit of trivia. What was the last Air Jordan shoe Michael wore as a Chicago Bull? That’s an easy one – the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’. How about the second-to-last pair? The answer to that is the Air Jordan XIII ‘Playoff’s, which Michael wore in Game 5 of the 1998 NBA Finals before switching to the ‘Last Shots’ for the second half of the game. The Playoff XIII is your run-of-the-mill black/white/red Air Jordan but stands out due to its tonal black colorway and eye-catching yellow circle on the tongue. Add to that the fact that the Playoff XIII hasn’t been retroed, and you’ve got yourself a frontrunner for one of the best Air Jordan Retros of 2011. But it’s still 2010, and you can break necks before New Years because RMKStore has them in early, so check out this fresh batch of images and head there to cop early or snag a pair on eBay.

The Dip Set made a triumphant return to the stage this past Thanksgiving weekend, in front of thousands of hometown fans, Cam’Ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freakey Zekey reunited for a historic performance at the Hammerstein Ballrom in New York City. While the concert was covered by numerous affiliates of our Complex Media Network we were more interested in what Dip Set was rocking on their feet. While we still can’t quite pinpoint what Killa Cam was wearing Jim Jones did have on a pair of the Air Max 24-7′s in the Original Air Max 95 “Neon” colorway on while Juelz Santana decided to go for a clean pair of “Uptown’s” otherwise known as White on White Air Force 1′s. Take a look at more pictures from the epic night after the jump.

With only 31 pairs of the Dominique Wilkins-inspired Packer Shoes x Reebok Pumps up for grabs when they released last November, there were a lot of admirers of the shoe who never even got close to getting their hands on a pair. The overwhelming response to the ‘Nique’ Pump made it a no-brainer for Packer and Reebok to team up once again for a follow up, this time making it a little more plentiful so that those who missed out on the first installment will have a better shot at securing a pair of these. This time around, it’s the Reebok Pump Omni Zone getting the Nique treatment in a black tumbled leather away colorway. Keep reading for a look at some more teaser images after the jump, and stay tuned for more pics and release info coming soon.

Carmelo Anthony was signed onto Jordan Brands years ago as a potential multi-Rings superstar. Although the closest Melo’s ever been to an NBA Championship was the Western Conference Finals in 2009, losing to the eventual champions the Los Angeles Lakers, Carmelo’s still one of the game’s elite players, holding down the fort in Denver and quite possibly another team this season. Here’s a look at the Air Jordan Six Rings Player Exclusive made just for Carmelo Anthony; featuring a mix of white, university blue, and Nuggets’ gold, this PE was made for Carmelo for the 2008-2009 season. The upper features white patent leather on the mudguard for an added pop to this otherwise bright colorway. Check out the additional images after the jump and pick up this rare Air Jordan Melo PE from d.townsports on eBay.
