With the Air Jordan XI having given way to the AJXI LE after the Chicago Bulls’ record setting 72-win season, the Nike Air More Uptempo was *the* shoe of the summer of 1996. Scottie Pippen rocked the USAB colorway en route to a second straight Olympic gold medal and then picked up this inline colorway for the NBA regular season. The ‘AIRs’ are back again, resurrecting the audacious Uptempo styling at a time when the entire mid ’90s basketball series is enjoying a series of retro releases. And despite their time-capsule design, this pair’s two-toned colorway will fit in well here in 2010. Yet another release in what has been an incredible year for Nike Sportswear retro releases, these joints just popped up at Eastbay.
