One can pen a 25-page thesis on the evolution of the Air Jordan from 1985 to 2010 but it’s better to put all of that information into one sneaker. While the all-new Jordan Evolution ’85 isn’t exactly an Air Jordan 1-XXV hybrid shoe (how tough would that be?), it’s a reminder of how far the Air Jordan line has traveled through time, picking up the necessary changes here and there. Take a look at the mudguard; the front portion features the classic elephant print but as it slowly reaches the rear of the shoe, it alters itself for a more contemporary styling. The ankle strap isn’t anything new to basketball shoes but the fore-foot strap – something typically seen in a Nike Trainer shoe, makes its way on this design. Gone are the leather-seamed construction, ast he Evolution ’85 features a mesh bootie construction. The Jordan Evolution ’85 isn’t dropping until January 2011 but Dwyane Wade took ’em for a test run during some pre-season practices. Check out the extra shots of the Jordan Evolution ’85 after the jump as well as some ‘Feet’ shots of Dwyane Wade in ’em and let us know what you think of the design. via Kenlu.
