Sak For Converse First String – Star Tech

A $600 Converse shoe? Might be a bit steeper than what you’d expect from Converse but these aren’t your ordinary Chucks. Created by Japanese designer Sak as apart of the Converse First String Collection, the Converse Star Tech is Sak’s personal rendition of the classic Converse All-Star, One Star, and Jack Purcell, constructed in the finest leather materials using Italian styling with each pair handmade by Sak himself. Sak states that “I’m trying to express myself creating a pair of shoes but hoping that the client wearing them is finding his way of expressing himself too.” Sak’s personal connection with each pair of shoes he produces is more than evident in the calculating and exacting manner he approaches the shoes in which he is crafting, which reflects the Converse First String mission statement to a tee. Just 64 pairs of each colorway will release at four select locations – John Varvatos and Aloha Rag in NYC, Concepts in Boston, Blends in Costa Mesa – so take a look at the utmost in premium Converse shoes after the jump and let us know what you think of the design.

Don't care if they were made by Bruce Lee, they aren't worth anywhere near $600.

  2. Gullyjay Says:

they were actually looking ok, until i clicked to see more pictures. And the price? thats like a pair of Air yeezy's or these. they dont even compare.

  3. rossy Says:

they look sweet but 600$? damn… you could buy two i phones with that… or one pair of shoes. think of that.

  4. cookie sheet Says:

i have to see what these look like on somebody. if the toe didnt point up…

  5. HondurasKix Says:

you cant be more hypebeast… the yeezys were 215$ at retail, and the price was hyped up in retail, cause if you take kanye out of the equation the retail should be at 125$ top.
these converse are marked at 600$ based just in quality materials ands the fact that are handmade, no hype attached… these shoe its not for the regualr "sneakerhead", this is a high-end fashion quality shoe…
DONT EVEN DARE TO COMPARE THE YEEZYS TO THESE AGAIN KIDDO

  6. ZadforEh Says:

100% agree – these are not intended for Nike only sneakerheads – i collect all footwear and love quality….
